Sorry it's taking me a while to get a reply done for you! I've got a little writer's block for this story right now (happens sometimes), but I'll be trying to get a post up today or tomorrow if I can! I've found that just pushing through is (at least, for me) the best way of getting over a hill whenever my muse is being difficult :)

Okay so. The plan is to thin the Wynter's out as much as possible via the four blockades of Saints. Victoria is to lead them through each trap area straight into silver arrows and bullets. She will lure them by making a cut on herself so they'll follow her blood scent. So she'll have to ride really fast on her horse. The last stop is Crest Manor with the remaining clan. That's where Victoria will get mortally wounded by Spencer.

I also have the plan to have Mikael himself walk right up to the Hygrace manor and knock the door during this fight. XD

Sounds good! Would Mikael be going to the Hygrace manor to finish what the Wynters had started the first time they attacked?

Yes Mikael wants to finish what his grandfather started but Peter killed him. Mikael is out for revenge. And the Hygrace's have to suffer a blow also.

Okay. That will definitely open Peter's eyes to how badly he screwed up and forward the transition in leadership from him to Vail.

I'm always down for character deaths. I'm planning to have Peter killed off sometime later, since Vail won't be able to formally take over the clan until he kicks the bucket. I want to wait for a bit first though, because I think it will be interesting for Vail to start leading the Hygraces early even though it isn't orthodox

I think it depends on the fallout with the Hygrace clan, if Victoria has to escape to Scotland, would Vail leave his devastated family?

The Hygraces ended up having to leave their manor, so Vail would have to seek them out once the fighting cools off. He wouldn't just up and leave without finding out what happened, and I was also planning to start the shift in leadership right away. Peter would still be in shock after the attack, so Vail would be the one to find somewhere safe for them to go while they recover from what the Wynters did.

It takes about a week before the turned human wakes up. Vail wouldn't want to leave Victoria while she's vulnerable, so realistically, he would end up taking her with him if she was turned right away. If you still want her to go to Scotland first, maybe it would be better to wait a little. Either that, or the Hygraces could also flee to Scotland (not necessarily to the exact same location) because England isn't safe for them anymore. Vail would have seen the Saints' plans, so he would know the address of the place where Victoria was supposed to go. He could bring her there first and then once he's sure she's protected for the time being, he could return to look for his clan and bring them to Scotland, because he would choose to stay close to Victoria while he's waiting to find out if she'll wake up. (I'd just summarize most of the transition in one post unless you'd prefer to write for some side characters while Victoria is out cold)

In a way, it might be more fitting for her to be turned quickly, because if Vail drained all of her blood, he'd have more than enough power to get her and himself away from the Wynters. It could give us a natural exit from that scene.

If you've got any other ideas, I'm open to suggestions though!

No I think that would be pretty much the perfect plan. Then once she has turned and Vail is the Hygrace leader, nobody can stop them being together officially anymore.

Unless you would prefer to draw it out longer and have her kept away from him as still human, having escaped to Scotland and therefore far away from him?

The more I think about it, the more it seems like having her be turned during the battle would be the best way to stitch everything together. That way, when she wakes up they would already be in hiding, so it could give them enough of a respite from the Wynters for Vail to start walking Victoria through what her life will be like as a vampire. She'd have to learn how to hunt and control herself because she'll have new bloodlust that she wouldn't be used to. Fledglings are more prone to frenzies and also wouldn't be used to having heightened senses, so I imagine being turned into a vampire would be overwhelming for her at first.

We could have a short part of the story focusing a little more on her with some parts thrown in about what's happening with the Hygrace clan and the Order and also news about what's become of England since they all left and the Wynters assumed power.

I do agree and the Wynters would then be cut off from her blood supply once they used it all up. Draining all of her blood would sustain Vail for a long time too. There will be enough people to protect her from the Moncourier clan while she's asleep so Vail can focus on his family.
