That would probably be a good thing though, since she's pretty much a bomb waiting to go off lol

I've been good! The hubs and I just bought furniture for the new place :) We decided to sell our current stuff because it doesn't fit the layout or aesthetic of the house we're moving into. How have you been?

Ohh lovely! What kind of stuff are you going for this time? Is there a colour scheme?

I've been good! Working as always, but good otherwise :3 Though I'm a little worried about my cat, her ear is bleeding. Not now, but I think she's scratched herself and irritated the skin so I'm just a bit concerned for her.

Cas dropped the subject real quick haha

It was less about color scheme and more about the shape of the room not working with the kind of furniture we already had. There's a window nook specifically that demands a chair and table setup, but we only have loveseats and sofas haha. We also got a sectional that we can arrange in a way that flatters the length of the back wall in the living room ^^

Aw, sorry to hear about your cat! How is she doing?

Also, I may not be online as much as usual this weekend. I have plans every single day with various friends and also with my husband to get a huge chunk of the moving done, since we're going to be fully moved into the new place in two weeks!

Ohhh okay! That sounds pretty nice though, did you enjoy arranging the new décor/furniture for it? I’m so excited for you haha, I love it when you get a new place and new stuff to go in it.

She’s going much better! Didn’t need to go to the vet so I think she’s caught herself whilst scratching.

The furniture will be delivered at the same time as when we move in in two weeks, haha.

That's good! I'm glad it was nothing serious.

And yeah, pretty much xD This is one of the busiest weekends because we went through all our stuff in the garage and also boxes of old things from our families that we never sorted before. We have SO much stuff that we threw away and are also going to sell whenever we can put together a garage sale.

Oh gosh that’s always the way! We have boxes in my place we’ve lived in for like three years now that we haven’t opened. I should probably just throw it away now, but I can’t be bothered haha.

Sorry that took so long! The weekend was wild, so I only just caught up on posts today. I'm gonna be pretty busy for the next couple weeks too because the remodels are getting done and we're finally moving in!

That works out great then, haha. We just tore out the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom today and had the lovely discovery of finding a mouse infestation, so I'm gonna be dealing with that on top of getting the remodels scheduled/completed and dealing with family crap ^^; Things are gonna be super busy on my end for a while.

Yeah I completely understand, real life always comes first! Plus it's not like we can't still chat anyway haha, I know I still check in here daily even if I don't respond just to see how things are and such.

Yeah, the sellers lied about not having any pest issues. We know that they knew about the mice because there was also steel wool put down behind the cabinets to try to keep the mice from getting in. I took photos of it because we can pursue legal action against them for not telling us about the issue when they were aware it existed. I have pest control coming out tomorrow to look at it too and figure out if it's an existing infestation or one that was taken care of already and the droppings were just never cleaned up. I'm hoping it's just leftover mess, but we'll find out for sure tomorrow. Either way, it's gonna be a bitch to clean up, and I have to get rid of it all tomorrow before the new cabinets are installed.

It shouldn't affect when we move in. The installs are all still on schedule. I just have to make sure we stay on top of this pest issue if we do still have mice because if we let it go, it'll be an even bigger problem.

I'm recruiting friends to help xD I offered to buy them dinner if they come over to clean with me before the cabinets are put in. So far I've got at least one person who's gonna be there, and my husband might be able to help too if he gets off work on time.

But yeah, the sellers were the actual worst. They refused to pay for anything that came up during the inspection, didn't treat for pests or yard work when we asked them to, never gave us the keys to the mailbox (I had to have new ones printed), and now apparently lied about not having mice or rats. It's been an adventure.

How did it go? Did you manage to sort out the mouse infestation before the cabinets where installed?

Honestly I’m still in shock that happened and that they refused to pay for anything when it was inspected!! Honestly sounds like quite the adventure, but hopefully it will be worth it when it’s all complete!

No worries! Things have been absolutely crazy here. We're taking steps to get rid of the mice, but also even more family stuff came up that might mean I have to go back to be with my family for a little while. My grandma just got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and may not have much time left, so my grandparents and parents are all a mess right now. I'm tentatively making plans to go be with them in October.

It also means our move in date may be pushed back even longer, which is kind of frustrating but honestly, I never know what to expect these days :/ 2020 just really sucks.

Writing is my stress-relief outlet, so I'll most likely still be writing about the same pace as usual, but yeah. My life is wack these days lol

Anyway, enough of my drama. How you been? xD

Yeah, I can imagine how frustrating it is with the house as well! 2020 hasn’t really been a good year. I dread to even think on what else could happen this year as a whole.

No worries! I always try to post at least once a day! Sometimes life gets in the way as we all know. Apart from that are you doing okay? And the pets of course!

I’m alright! Really tired, work has been so busy. I also just spent like four hours cleaning my house!? Idk why, but I am just in one of those moods??
