Diamond of Elysium:
Setting: high fantasy/sword-and-sorcery. Theme: things man-was-not-meant-to-know story & lost love/quest story.
The story is about twelve forceful leaders, who are obsessed with a king . It takes place in a small nation on a shadowy land. The return of an ancient evil plays an important part in the story. This is a tale about madness and how people are never totally honest. The story begins with a door being opened, climaxes with a performance so to speak, and ends with a political conflict of sorts. The end of one era and the beginning of another will eventually come into play in the story.
It starts in a forgotten country in a part of the land where travel occurs by magical means. It was called the Nemor Empire. A critical element of the story is a miscommunication. Another critical element of the story is an argument. Even the smartest person makes mistakes.
It was winter, the season of sanity and sleeping. That winter, she was getting married. It was to be an unusual age, an age of kindness, an age of perversion.
The lost love in question was a fortune-teller with strange powers that only work when emotionally agitated. What had started as a professional relationship became love. But, she vanished without a trace. The land, and the country, started to fall into ruin not long after that. The twelve leaders would develop their obsession with a certain king not long after that as well.
The king was a key to the legendary Ceremony of Curses as well as powers like Inescapable Fiend Magic, the Negator Hex, and other shadowy magic, which he has refused to use since he vowed to be good. He had dedicated himself to using good magic and powers like Mystic Divination, and the Compassionate Thinkers' Glamour of Health. He had been working on perfecting those with the fortune-teller by his side, who had her own magical bloodline.
The leaders knew the king had a secret of his own, something that was connected to the disappearance of his love and why he was determined to find her on his own. A powerful magical weapon and some even darker magic play an important role in that, as well as a certain past coming back to the surface, as well as a predetermined destiny.
The Mystical Century was on the verge of ending in great tragedy.
They sent out a team to find the king. One member in particular who had a past of his own: This ignorant sorcerer is driven by a lust for power. He employs necromancy in his plots, often creating an army of undead to achieve his goals. He is from a big family. Another? They were like this: An unfriendly magician spurred onward by a drive for discovery. He employs divination in his plots, commonly stealing magical artifacts to achieve his goals. He is haunted by a ghost.
The king went on his journey, with those of the darkness pursuing him. He carried only his weapon and his magic with him. This weapon? A sword with knot shaped gaurd. Its grip is wrapped with copper leather with a pattern made of ovals and pyramids dyed into it. The pommel bears a series of moonstones. It was valuable, at least to him.
During his travels, he would end up in the Wolf Empire, a land known for the occasional Curse Inversion or Nightmare Inversion, and with the occasional Spell Tear happening.
His journey was about to begin....
I had difficulty extending the world and rp plot storyline from there. If you have any ideas of your own feel free to suggest them. :)
this is actually open to being a group or a 1x1 depending on if anybody is interested.
