The Pitch:

These are Medabots:

Cute little things, aren't they? They have become the new big thing. Much like computers and smartphones, anyone who is anyone has a Medabot. They serve many different functions, from companionship, to personal assistant, to bodyguard, to construction, to education to actual combat units, every body in every walk of life has a Medabot assisting them. Every medabot is powered by a Medal that is their brain. It tells them what to do, how to think, how to feel, how to fight. If a medabot is damaged beyond conventional repair, the medal can be taken out, put into a new body and it'll be raring to go in no time. What very few know is the true origin of the Medals that power the Medabots... Well, it wasn't humans that made them.

Recently, strange mists have been starting to roll in from no-where. People caught in the mists have reported sightings of giant creatures. Medabots are the only machinery that functions within the mists, so pictures of the creatures are sketchy. Other things that happen are strange, with buildings being replaced with ocean liners, parks in summer time being covered in snow, really weird stuff.

At the same time, certain kids that venture into the mists have discovered their medabots hiding some secrets of their own.

The actual nitty-gritty:

So, how does everyone fall into this? The idea is that essentially, every one in this RP will be someone between the age of 12 and 16 who has a Medabot partner, but it turns out that this Medabot hides a secret that even it was unaware of until you step into the Mist. When you become endangered by the Digimon of the mists, your Medabot shows its true form, becoming a Digimon. Turns out that the Mists are pockets of leakage between the human and digital worlds. Digimon can't maintain their form for long periods outside of the mists, meaning that a convenient way to be able to travel to the human world and bond with a human is to bundle itself into a mass-produced Medal that is later sold to someone.

I also had an idea that maybe we did something like Digimon Tamers, however, instead of using cards to scan other Digimon parts onto your partner temporarily, you can use your Medabot Transport capabilities to upgrade your Digimon partner with Medabot parts for a power boost.

It's getting really late, so if there are any takers or any questions, please do @ me and i'll get back to you ASAP.
