“Well, here we are! I suppose that this is where you wanted to go, Tidus!” Bartz said cheerfully as he glanced over at Tidus. While he seemed to have wanted to help out Tidus in other ways, he opted to not let the blonde teen know that as he quickly took a step back from him and waited for his response.

“Thank you, Bartz. I really appreciate the help!” Tidus said before he ended up smiling. While he was glad that Bartz had decided to help him out by guiding him to the mechanic, he also decided not to speak further than a simple thanks.

Vidarr watched the two, lurking in the shadows with the shell of the droid. He opted not to speak, as he knew any attempts at communication would be futile and yield nothing but confusion.

“No problem, Tidus! While Marth might be busy with other matters regarding the planet’s wellbeing, there are more people here including visitors who are more than willing to assist you. Besides, that’s one of the best things about this planet!” Bartz said cheerfully before he walked away from the blacksmith and mechanic. While this also meant that he had returned to the castle in the center of the capital, he also didn’t leave without saying a farewell to Tidus either which seemed to cause the slightly taller male to slightly bow as a form of respect.

Vidarr watched them with slight confusion. His only line of thought was: When can we fix my droid so I can find a way off this strange rock? He was slightly annoyed with Tidus, but did not show it. He adjusted his grip on C3-NT, causing the droid to scrape the ground with a horrid screeching sound.

“So… I guess that we’re here now? Well then, I guess that I’ll have to probably explain things here. Not a lot of folks here understand languages beyond human and a few others however, it is necessary for all of the planets in the system to be able to understand each other hence why there are translators from the other planets on each planet aside from Mer. It’s hard to get land dwellers on there due to it being completely underwater.” Tidus said before he ended up approaching the mechanic and then speaking a few words in the merfolk language about a crashed ship and a droid.

Vidarr just trailed behind him, holding the droid shell, but he said nothing. He was aware that there was a language barrier, and didn't bother trying.

“So, can you please help us with that?” Tidus asked the mechanic. While he went back to speaking the Common language that humans understand. While it seemed like the mechanic had understood him, he also ended up stepping back as well to allow for the mechanic to step forward.

“Well, we could send you all on a shuttle to another planet within our system. I’m no good with fixing up starships but there are mechanics on Ris that know a thing or two about airships. In fact, we often have to send airships over there just to get them fixed when they break down so who’s to say that they wouldn’t be able to deal with starships as well! Regardless, the first step would be to find a translator if you can’t speak their language, though.” The mechanic said.

Vidarr muttered a curse. Either Tidus had forgotten he existed, or something along those lines. He stepped back and essentially melted into the shadows except for his glowing orange eyes. He left the shell of his droid in plain sight, and he would be rather upset if nobody fixed the droid. Apart from having vital information, the droid was also an extremely good translator.
