Robyn
The apartment was empty. Not a soul was there. Entering the kitchen, Robyn noticed that nothing had change since she last left. The kettle was still on the stove, her mother's note still on the kitchen table. This wasn't unusual. Her mother's often off on some extra job trip, or working so much overtime that she basicly sleeps in the office. Robyn felt sorry for her. It wasn't easy taking care of a child on your own, especially when you're as poor as her, and without parents, the child's father or someone to rely on. Robyn had ran away on several occasions after arguing with her mother, but she always came back because all they had was each other.
But now Robyn wondered if it wasn't safer for her to leave, to not endanger her mother like this. Jack had already died when fighting Clayton... It seemed to unreal... She had known him for almost two years, and suddenly he's dead. She was there. She saw it.
Looking at her hands, she clenched her fists. How had she done that, back there? Her power was of the dark, wild energies, not the vibrant light that she had used back there against the abomination... How?
She shook the thought off, finding it too much to think about, or maybe too scary to think about... The thought of a second, dormant and even more powerful ability scared her. Only adjusting to the dark powers she had had taken years, and had caused her much pain. At times, she thought she would go completely crazy... She couldn't handle it again.

Once again she shook the thought off her mind.
She packed her bags, with whatever items were dear to her enough that she wanted to take them with her, the rest was necesities.
Scribbling a note to her mother for when she would return home, Robyn realized she would never see her again. Grief swept over her like a tidal wave, and for a moment she froze, the pen shaking in her hand.
Dear mother... she began slowly, a tear making it's way down her cheek.
I am leaving. Forgive me, it is not because of you. You always did your best for me, always took care of me. I will miss you greatly but I can't tell you why I'm leaving or where I'm off to. Know that I will always love you and that it is better this way. Maybe one day you will understand, somehow.
WIth all the love in the world,
Robyn.

Finishing the note, Robyn wiped her tears and took a breath. She hated crying, it always made her so tired. Her mother never knew of her powers because she was barely ever home. It was better this way...

Shutting the door softly and locking it for the last time, Robyn turned and left toward the graveyard. She hoped to meet Jake there.

Chen
The spider-woman and her mysterious father had left Chen and Blaze alone in his cell to catch up. Just for good measure, they had released him from his shackles as he came to. He was still coming to, lying on the floor with his head in Chen's lap. Gently, she ran her hand over his head instinctively. She didn't know why she did it but she felt like it soothed him. "Blaze? Are you awake? Are you alright?" she said softly, worried. she looked at his strained face. "I need you to wake up, Blaze..."
Chen closed her eyes, held him close. Maybe he heard her somehow.

Jake was sitting cross legged next to a familiar grave, attempting to summon up his mother that way. He'd start to exhume her if it was needed. Closing his eyes, he started muttering and and continued the chanting. He hoped that this would work, but as it was, his mojo wasn't strong enough. sighing, he took the collapsible shovel and waited for Robyn to arrive. Closing his eyes, he sensed around, feeling the energies of the dead which helped calm his nerves.

Blaze meanwhile moaned as the drugs worked through his system. He finally pawed at Chen. "I'm awake mom... Just five more minutes..." He sputtered and rubbed his head with a paw before he realized what happened. The memories came down hard and he quickly got to his feet, but with the rush of blood, he felt woozy and nearly fell down. "Ahh!" Staggering, he flopped onto the ground. "I feel like i'm gonna puke..." He said.

Robyn arrived at the graveyard. Like any graveyard it was kind of spooky, but since it was morning the sun cast some light on it, making it less so. She looked around at the beat up, old and new, gravestones. She had a vague memory of her grandparents probably being buried here, but she wasn't sure. Strolling in, she soon found Jake standing next to grave. Walking up to him, she patted him on the shoulder. "Hey." she said simply, looking at the grave. "Any luck?"

At the lab, in the cell, Blaze woke up. He got to his feet quickly, resulting in Chen gasping. "Careful!" she said, but it was too late, he staggered and fell back on the floor. Chen was quick to hold onto him. "Easy, Blaze! Easy!" she said. She held her hand up near his chest, moving it slowly across it, feeling for something. Her robotic hand beeped, and a panel on her wrist became visable. "You were drugged, I guess." she said, reading off the panel. "Just... Rest easy. I'm here."
She put the panel away, and stroked him across the face, trying to get some sort of reassuring smile on her face... But to no avail. She couldn't reassure herself.
