In the Shadows of History
So i have been having many, many ideas regarding some sort of fantasy-historical plot akin to the World of Darkness or the Dresden Files for those that know.
For those that don't, i am basically thinking of our world but in the shadows of world history there have been clashes, rivalries and conflicts between supernatural beings and those men and women that can harness magical abilities. I have been working world for some time and i have dnd campaings, rps and everything in mind.
I would be available possible once per day but in the coming weeks it might be once per week. Response length a paragraph of 100-200 words is my usual but i am mostly tailoring to what i get to work with.
Rambling aside i would like to just see if people are interested in such stuff and i have way to many ideas to narrow down but i can give a few examples:
The Eagle is dying: The Western Empire is gone, the last emperor in Ravenna deposed by a Germanic warrior-king. Only Constantinople now holds the flame of Rome. While emperors and barbarians vie for control in this new shifting world darker forces plot their schemes. Vampires in Rome and Ravenna try to manipulate the new king while sorcerers in Constantinople try to place their puppets on the throne of the empire. The Dark Ages have begun and the shadows are on the move. (Could be vampire themed but again everything up to discussion)
The Struggle of the Successors: The Great Conqueror is dead and his friends and generals tear apart all that he has achieved. Ptolemy takes for himself Egypt, Seleukos carves up Mesopotamia, Antigonos claims Syria and Anatolia and Cassander takes Macedon. The heirs of Alexander secretly wage not only war for their dead kings empire but for the many arcane and occult secrets that slumber under pyramids and temples. Shadowy actors from across the empire desire to influence whatever emerges from the chaos.
Egyptomania: Queen Victoria rules the known world and among her priced possessions is Egypt, the ancient land of the Pharaohs. The elites and thinkers of Europe and America are in a craze for Egyptian artifacts and knowledge, mummies are even unwrapped at noble gatherings! But what unholy forces are disturbed by this rampant mania? What if one cadaver at an unwrapping objects to having his body desecrated.
