Looking for someone to roleplay in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe. 18+ just because violence/war/swearing may be involved. I have a shadow of a plot at the moment, which I initially wanted to write as a fanfic. I really struggle to commit to solo projects, unfortunately, so I figured I might as well fart it out of my brain with another person or two, just for fun.
Time setting: Pre-Aang (or Post-Aang, but totally ignoring the mess that was TLoK…)
Plot/premise: The new Avatar is a child born into the tribe descended from the Sun Warriors. This causes an issue for her people because, in ATLA lore, The Sun Warriors were a tribe of firebenders thought to have disappeared, along with the dragons that they first gleaned the knowledge of firebending from. As revealed in the show, the Sun Warriors and dragons actually continued to exist as a small, isolated community that cut themselves off from the rest of the world to prevent other firebenders from killing the world’s last 2 remaining dragons. So, as the Avatar is the only person with the ability to wield all four elements, the rest of the world looks for its next saviour/peacekeeper, all the while the Avatar herself is deemed to be an existential threat to her own tribe’s very way of life.
The story will follow the Avatar as it is decided that, shortly after her thirteenth birthday, she is to be exiled from their tribe and to set out on her journey.
I already have a little Avatar girl planned out as MC, so anyone interested, just let me know!
