I'd prefer to be called Tangerine when OCC! I go by any pronouns, but prefer they/them. As my username may give away, my favorite color is orange. It is my favorite color, and it has been my favorite color ever since I was a freshmen in high school.
While I am new to roleplay forums in general, I am not new to roleplay itself! I am eighteen, and I have roleplayed since I was eleven. I started out on Amino with, like... zero parental supervision. Bad idea, I know, but despite all the chaos, I fell in love with roleplay! My first roleplay experience was on the Undertale AUs Amino app, and it was just casual one-liners. As time went on, I started to become more of a semi-formal RPer. I tend to go anywhere from semi-formal to more formal, just depending on my roleplay partner. It became a hobby pretty soon after my first experience, honestly. Sorry, it has been so long that it's really hard to pinpoint! However, I can tell you my first TTRPG experience. I was around twelve or thirteen, and it was in this summer program I did. The DM was this middle aged professor who was teaching us a very watered down version of D&D. I played as a moon elf bard, and I had a really fun time playing her. I didn't get to play D&D again until my sophomore year, and I played D&D weekly until I graduated from my high school.
As for roleplay preferences, I lean more into semi-formal. I love supernatural/paranormal, fantasy, and apocalyptic settings. I'm also down for sci-fi, but you'd probably have to lead the way for that one... I'm not really experienced in it! I don't mind romance, but I'd rather it be slow burn. I don't mind if it is a fast-pace or longer spread out roleplay. Just tell me what works with you, and I'll figure out scheduling! Oh, and I enjoy heavy world building + magic systems, but honestly the plot is what I care most about. So, as long as the plot interests me, I'm good with whatever!
Unsurprisingly, another one of my main hobbies is writing. I mostly write poetry or vignettes, but I do aim to write longer pieces in the future. OH OH!! I also really like doodling; although, I'm not very good at drawing in general... Another thing I enjoy is photography (the pfp pic is actually taken by me!!) and just consuming various media (mostly anime/manga/light novels, animated shows, reading, and story podcasts).
Currently, I'm listening to The Magnus Archives. Oh! Wait, that reminds me... I also do quite like eldritch horror and shit like TMA. So, if anyone wants to do an RP like that, I'm so fucking down. Anyways, my favorite books of all time are as follows: The Little Prince, No Longer Human, The Secret Garden, Heidi, and Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I'm really into the Moomins, specifically the 90s and 2019 adaptations. My favorite anime of all time is FMA:B.
I love listening to music, specifically Midwestern Emo. But, honestly? I'll listen to anything. I love music from every genre (including country, haha). Other genres that I love dearly are glam metal, folk, punk, folk punk, alternative rock, and goth. I'm always open to new music recs! :D
