This first scenario can work (I think) for a dystopian horror.
The Crave of Nature pin.it/z1uQVR7YY
3/4ths of humanity was wiped out by nature. Not flood or tornados, not even earthquakes. Mother Nature began to fight back. Take what humanity destroyed. It started with the sickness. First you would get a fever, then loose color in your eyes and eventually, your thoughts became…almost animalistic. You would try to rip and bite at anyone who came near. The worst part? The sickness didn’t kill you. What killed you was another human, feeling an act of mercy is what was needed. Those who weren’t mercied were given a far worse fate.
The carcass of a dead animal would wake, crawling to you, fusing and melting into you, your mind confused. These were known as ‘Lost Ones’.
Some who were spared from the sickness became experiments for the government, or what was left of it. People were desperate for a cure. Eventually the government collapsed entirely, and now the only question is if you actually want to survive in this world.

This second one is kinda like a horror/fantasy.
A Canvas of Fear (Idea by @Tally Dor) pin.it/5y8caa6XN
You used to live a normal life. Boring? Maybe. Uncertain? Of course. But this…this is different. You wake up one day, not in your home or bed, but on the grassy hilltop of what seemed to be a wasteland, not a person in sight. Not much of anything in sight. Darkness covered this land, the only light from stars but no moon, and the stars seemed red in color. Monsters, beasts, nightmares roamed in this endless night…but there is hope…somewhere…there must be.

There are Eyes in the Walls pin.it/46T4s1jUy
Ophelia had needed a fresh start, somewhere she could get away from the stress of college and family, and one morning, a pamphlet arrived in the mail. It was for a town, describing what seemed to be a perfect little city. The tent for apartments was cheap, there were many resources, and it was secluded, which meant less stress from the outside world. Ophelia decided to move, and she did so as fast as possible. But when she got to her new home, something was off… far off. Everyone she talked to seemed to be in a trance, a mute sense of happiness. There was hardly any color, or music, nothing. Cameras lined to walls and every structure, always on.
It was so…blank. She didn’t think much of it, but when her friend visits her only to go missing, Ophelia realizes that this perfect little town was a place in hell.

Death to Peace pin.it/6ebuBzZ76
An experimental facility run in an underground governmental space. A project known as 201. Scientists are working to create a serum to give supernatural abilities to people. Some work, for a while. Those that do are moved a level lower, set to test how far they can be pushed before they break. No one is meant to escape. Once the serum is perfected, the experimented on subjects are meant to be…terminated. Survive.
