Looking to get back into more 1x1 roleplays. Writing sample here.
I'm big into fantasy concepts and storytelling.
Some concepts are below.
NOTE: I'm fond of coming up with new roleplay ideas. If you're interested in a roleplay in a general sense but don't have anything specific, we can bounce ideas off of each other (it's how I've come up with half of what's on this list)
Regarding romance: I only do MxF. Sorry, not negotiating on this. Regarding smut: I have written smut in the past as part of my roleplays and enjoyed it. However, it ended up being extremely unhealthy and for both personal and religious reasons I'm not going beyond fade-to-black anymore.
---
Concepts (Vague)
Pairings
Amazon x Captured man
Dragon x Bard
Dragon x Rider
Prince x Maid (!!!)
Princess x Knight
Drow x Human
Villain x Heroine / Villainess x Hero
TTRPGs
I am craving some Exalted right now. It's an incredible setting with so many interesting ideas and concepts.
Other
Love potions
Arranged Marriage
---
(I play the M in each of these but am willing to adjust how the F is portrayed/how her story goes)

A lonely girl, sick of break-ups and crushes that never go anywhere, finds her way to a carnival of dreams. There, perhaps on a lark, she finds a wish-granting fortune teller, and wishes she could have the kind of married life she always dreamed of: someone super handsome and kind and caring, someone who would kiss her when he came home and love her and the fun things she's not supposed to talk about in public. The fortune teller then smirks, and asks what she'd be willing to do for that. She answers 'anything'.
And so the fortune teller tells her she will awaken tomorrow as the ideal woman for an ideal man. He will remember nothing, and everything about his life will be what she tells him. "Do try and make it exciting, won't you?" Not thinking much of it, she goes home to sleep, dreaming of the ideal hot ninja boyfriend or something.
And when she wakes up she notices that not only has her appearance *radically* changed, but there's a man in bed with her, snoozing. The man she described in her dream, wearing a wedding band on one hand that matches the one on hers. When he wakes up, she follows the fortune teller's advice: she tells him of their beautiful wedding, and how happy she is to have him home, and
What she doesn't know is he is no construct; he was a lonely man who made the same wish after a bad break-up: to have a beautiful wife who loved him deeply. And as far as he knows, he woke up in the perfect woman's home, in a body that isn't his, and she's making him breakfast.
So begins their definitely not real married life.
(The two's positions could be swapped; the point is, both of them made separate wishes to have a SO who would treat them right, and the next morning, they became their ideal selves and appeared in a stranger's bed)
(I envision it as a bit dramatic with the two essentially joined at the hip forever now and knowing next to nothing about each other but having to feign that they do because of a wish they think now means they're responsible for their spouse that doesn't really exist)
(The romantic angle is obvious here, I hope)

House Stareye, named for the bright sparkles that dance within their irises, is the royal house of the Stella Kingdom. The princess is expected to choose a husband from among suitors far and wide, yet she only has eyes for a childhood playmate; a young squire by the name of Dain. A war orphan and a commoner, he was pulled to be his princess' personal friend and playmate growing up. After a failed assassination attempt on the princess, however, Dain threw himself into training as a squire so he might protect her and the kingdom.
He will soon become a full knight, and believes this means he will have to leave her side permanently. In truth, he has come to love her, but duty demands he leave to fight the enemies of the kingdom wherever they hide. Their stations do not allow marriage.
She chooses to use her royal privilege to assign him as her personal knight, because she wishes to make him her lover. This is not the first time she has abused her royal privilege to get something she wanted, and they have not gone unnoticed. With no other suitable heir to the kingdom of Stella, a coup is launched against the king and queen, but the squire and his princess make their escape.
Now with the two on the run, with only his sword and wits, her diplomatic skills, and vague advice from an advisor whose loyalties are in doubt, the princess and her knight must gather allies, face down the traitors trying to steal her crown, and perhaps even a place for their love.

All she wanted was an easygoing college life. Academic probation? For failing one course? That's bull. She has to get a good grade on her next exam, or she'll be kicked off the cheerleader team before she evens gets the chance to make moves on the quarterback.
But then a friend clued her in; there was a boy she could probably convince to help her out. Socially a dead end, no real friends, and a terrifying look in his eye, but an absolute genius. If she could convince him to help, surely, she'd not only succeed, but ace it. And just her luck: the boy in question only looks up from his work when pretty girls walk by... especially the cheerleaders with their cute little skirts.
So, naturally, she flirts with him. Gets him to open up and talk. She tells him about her plight, and how she'd do anything for his help. He agrees to help her pass, in exchange for her trying a special potion he's been working on. She agrees, promising she'll drink whatever he wants if he gets her an A.
She gets an A-, and it qualifies (albeit barely). So she goes to fulfill her part of the deal, planning to reject anything too weird. He reveals he's developed a concoction meant to suppress fear and phobias. He takes it first to show her its safe, and she decides 'eh fine' and downs it.
Only one problem: unbeknownst to either of them, what he'd made was not an anti-fear concoction, but a love potion.

He is the dark overlord of evil and bad things. She is the greatest hero of the age, a knight of light and justice. Finally, he has captured the heroine and has her at his mercy. And so he does the only thing that makes sense: asks her to marry him.
(If you'd rather do a villainess proposing to a male hero we can do that as well)

Centuries ago, a rebellion against the Sorcerer King failed, and as punishment the King laid a curse upon the rebels and all their kin. He declared that the tribe would bear no heirs and find no comfort among man or woman.
The tribe was horrified to discover that they bore few sons, and those they did died immediately after birth. But the Sorcerer Kingdom was a patriarchy; only men could be heirs. And so their women were born safely, still bearing the curse but alive. And so the Amazon tribe entered into legend. They are kept at the fringes of human society, with only the occasional raid or secret seduction serving to keep their numbers high enough to even be considered a tribe. Mixing too greatly with them would lead to the curse falling on other peoples as well, and so the amazons are forever isolated, only ever able to briefly find companionship and love.
On capturing a young squire and bringing him to the tribe, he learns the story, and promises that if they release him, he will find the way to break the curse: the Sorcerer King's lost heir. The queen agrees, but sends her daughter along to keep an eye on him. And so begins their epic adventure.

Every adventurer knows the joke, of course. A bard in her prime seduces the evil dragon that sought to destroy her and her friends, and for Jain, that was all it was: a funny story. She helped her friends, she saved the day, she sang songs about their exploits. One day, however, she met a dragon and made the attempt in a bid to save her comrades' lives. At first, the dread dragon Krovos let them leave, so long as they returned what they had stolen (plus some extra for his trouble, of course).
But then, one night, Jain awoke to find a freshly killed stag outside her door. On another night, fiery rings in the shape of a heart spelling out her name appeared in town. The dragon snakes its head to her and asks what she form she wants him to take...
Oh dear gods the dragon fell in love with her HELP
(To keep this going for long, I imagine Jain has some sort of long-term goal she wants to earn through adventuring. Something a dragon could help with.)

Superheroes are trying a new tactic to reform the most dastardly of villains: love potions. The logic goes that a villain who has fallen in love with the heroine will cease fighting her, and even be controllable.
