Neon lit streets and adverts, skyscrapers reaching so high that you can't see the end of it, advanced technology and lack of sunlight - humanity had reached its peak in technology, easy lifestyle and genetically advanced themselves to live under the unnatural conditions they have forced the planet to be reduced to. There is hardly any natural resources and with the development of technology, human genetics started to evolve in way that separated them from their natural course. They were still human, of curse. But they lost parts of their senses, such as their sight, smell or touch, only to be replaced by technologically advanced medicine that replaced what they lost naturally.

But some humans' genes developed strange mutations. The kind that are only activated by traumatic events and gave them strange supernatural powers. These people, called the Chimeras were legends on the streets of the common man, but a threat to powers that be. They have been hunted down, tested and killed for the sake of safety of authority. These Chimeras were a threat to the new world order, so the authorities proceeded to propagate these mutants as dangerous and to be reported to the authorities for the safety of their own people. But this only made the Chimeras to move smarter. They started to unite. And in the metropolis of Onyxiom, the most advanced city on the planet, there is a rebellion that started to form.

Your character is one of the Chimeras who has been a part of organizing this rebellious and terrorist organization. A local legend, someone who stands out, a posted child for rebellion. Aloof and brave, though taking the responsibility of carrying this organization's reputation is his main priority. The Chimeras of Onyxiom have suffered under the iron grip of the authority, people they knew and loved were taken away and never to be seen again, and thirst for vengeance was high.

My character's mutated gene had activated prior to coming to Onyxiom. She did not know how she arrived here. Why she was here and why was she so... different. The hometown he came from did not have many Chimeras to be so well-known in those circles and she lost her memory of the night when her mutated gene activated, leaving her confused and a little terrified to wake up in a place she had never seen before. She had a very eventful and promising life back home. She had the opportunities to be successful and a someone, but now she's in a new place with nothing to her name.

But she woke up with a hunger so intense. She threw up whenever she ate something. She could indulge in beverages, but not in the food. Sunlight caused her head to hurt and her irritability was reaching violent levels. She tried to lock herself away in the new, crappy apartment in the shitty part of Onyxiom, but she had also realized that solitude had been draining away her sanity.

So she stepped out into the world she was unfamiliar with, only to learn the hard way that she was no longer herself, but that there was a predatory gene that activated within her that required the blood of the people to survive and gave her more strength and ability to see into their minds and memories. Making her a dangerous asset, and being unaware of what she is capable of made her twice more dangerous and a bigger target to be captured by the Chimera hunters.

And on that fateful night, everything shifted and the truth of her being was unveiled to her, as well as the gravity of what it means to be a Chimera, with the help of your character.

I hope this introduction had painted the picture! I have included the important details of what the story is about and what kind of character I'm looking for. I expect there to be intrigue and drama. And I will say is that I prefer complicated romances. I love it when relationships develop.

I also aim to use side characters for this, because this plot has some ambitious ideas for the long-term goal. So I'll definitely need someone who is down to expand on a lore like this with more side characters and of course, action and conflict.

Writing

I seek partners with a similar style of writing to my own. My posts are usually multiple paragraphs to novella length long, as I like to get into detail. I love to get into character dynamics and character development. The more complex it becomes, the better.

Now, even if I do post pretty lengthy posts, I don't expect it to be as such for every post, as it takes away from some scenes. Maybe we'll have a few lines when characters are having a conversation or even a battle.

With that said, in writing I prefer quality and detail rather than just length. Things like world-building is always more than welcome, it only may slow the process for me, but if you have no issue with it, then we'll be good.

Here is my writing sample. I'd love to see yours too!

Activity

I am engaged, a cat mom with a full time job and also being a part-time housewife while trying to maintain my real life responsibilities. I have no set schedule for writing and sometimes my energy can be sapped a bit or I am just simply busy. My activity can easily vary, from multiple weekly posts to one post a week to maybe every other week. If I want to do a story with good quality, I will not force myself to do it when I'm not in the mood for it. This is a hobby, if I can't give you a juicy morsel because I'm too busy or having a rough day, I won't rip off the good writing experience from you. So I am seeking someone patient and understanding - as I am too. The greatest writers take hiatuses and breaks from writing their masterpieces. And we, the regular folk, will definitely have those moments too.

With that said, I'm RARELY active during the weekends. So if you don't hear from me during the weekends, don't worry, I'll get back to you on monday.

I'm ghost friendly. Like I mentioned earlier, this is a hobby. It's not that serious, despite being attached, sometimes some stuff are not meant to be. I'm cool with people who ghosted me and come back after a while. I don't take this shit personally.

Mature content

I don't like sugar-coating, fading to black or 'insinuate' anything. This goes for violence, erotica and profanity. I like raw experiences in writing.

That said, when it comes to NSFW stuff, I like to have it in the story BUT I don't want to center it around the story. The more slowburn, the better. I'm not looking for smut centered content. I'm looking for romance when it's appropriate in the story. Don't force anything.

I do love inhuman characters!

Face claims

I like to use then and I'd love for you to use them as well. I just don't like anime/manga-esque faceclaims. I prefer real life references or realistic art. I also like to use images from time to time as well for outfits, environment, music that might set the scene etc.

Maturity

The subtitle should speak for itself. If you don't know what I mean by this, we probably won't mesh well.
