Aragorn II

My first roleplaying was on forums when I was in high school. At the time, Star Wars was my favorite fandom. I also liked a show called Spellbinder that was on Disney when I was in 8th grade. My friend and I watched the Spellbinder show together. We wrote each other stories about Spellbinder. We then wrote letters to each other, putting some Spellbinder characters into the Star Wars universe. We would pretend to be characters from Star Wars (with some Spellbinder characters added in) and wrote letter to other characters. When our friendship ended, I went online to try to continue the letters with people I met online Through e-mail. During that time, I also went into chatrooms and found other people to roleplay the Star Wars story with. I also wrote my own fanfiction, and had a website with my own chatrooms for roleplaying.

During my college years I posted the notes/letters that I wrote with online people, and the Star Wars stories I wrote on a website called fanfiction .net

While on that website, I came across some roleplaying forums. I do not remember if I ever rped in any Star Wars forums On that site.

Later, in my graduate school days, A friend introduced me to the TV show Doctor Who. At that time the Tenth Doctor was the current Doctor, and I really liked the show. I returned to the fanfiction site and began to read fanfic based in the Doctor Who fandom. I also came across forums on that website that were dedicated to roleplaying Doctor Who. I joined some of them and had fun roleplaying there.

I took another break from roleplaying until I was playing a mobile game called Lord of the Rings Rise to War. I met another player during my second season in that game who wanted to roleplay Lord of the Rings. We roleplayed With each other for about two years. Her main character was Frodo, while mine was Aragorn II. We played other characters as well. We went through the events of the movies, adding in our own ideas, and making some changes that we found interesting. We tried to get other players from That game interested in roleplaying with us, but no one else really stuck around. After my friend had to quit due to real life circumstances, I tried to see if there was interest from anyone else. No one really was interested. That game just recently shut down, so I can no longer try to recruit anyone from there.

I found that some players from fanfiction.net were not interested in participating in an RP in which any posted contained more than like 3 sentences together. People would get all confused, and they didn’t want to read that much (kind of ironic since it was on a writing website). They called people like me “literates,” and they used that in a negative way. Not everyone was like that, but I found it frustrating that I had to try to post as little as I could in an RP on a fanfiction website.

My friend that I was doing the LOTR RP with experienced some horrible trauma in real life that affected her completely for the rest of the time we tried to roleplay together. Her mental health was affected in such a way that she could not really concentrate on our story sometimes. She also became less interested in having anything happen to my character, and began to not have fun at all with Anything with Aragorn. (For example, we used to have Bad guys in the story that we each played that would plot things for the other’s character—capture, hurt, chase, try to find information on, etc.) I was interested in exploring stories about Aragorn’s parents, grandparents, and Aragorn as a baby and young child, which did not appeal at all to my friend. Finally, my friend’s mental health got to the point where she couldn’t RP at all, so we had to stop.

interests In roleplay:
I like mysteries, having bad guys after my character, complex stories or situations, hidden knowledge that my character has to learn (and other characters maybe too), I like to see interactions and dialogue between characters, I like keeping track of what each character should and shouldn’t know (and what is a reasonable way they can learn information), etc.

Specifically, I would be interested in doing a Lord of the Rings RP set during the movies, a story about Arador (Aragorn grandfather), and a story about Aragorn’s parents.

I am open to other fandoms or Things within LOTR, but the above is what I am most interested in.

I also think collaboration between the people writing the RP together is important. I want to know what the other person (or people) find to be fun. I Would welcome ideas from those I am writing with.

As far as hobbies go — I like to read, go for walks, play games on my iPad or computer or other device, Christian aplologetics, Christian theology, gardening

I joined this website because I googled roleplaying, and this is the first site that popped up. It looks to be still active. The game I was playing shut down, and so my source of potential rpers there dried up. I miss roleplaying, and I thought I would give it a try here. I checked fanfiction.net, but the LOTR rping forums have not been posted to in years. This seemed to be the best place to maybe find someone interested in rping with me.

I currently have no pets.

One more thing…. I am actually female, but, at least in the past on websites, I have been told that I write like a guy. People will not believe me when I tell them I am female. “I Don’t believe you. You sound like a guy,” has been a constant response.

if you think I would fit well in your roleplay, feel free to invite me.

Roleplaying preferences: I prefer one on one’s because I feel like my rp partner and I would have more control over the plot, and it would just be the two of us. I think the plots I want to do fit better with a one on one situation, although I am open to being in a group.

I would prefer if my partner and I could send at least one post a day to each other, but I know that is likely unrealistic. What matters most is that both of us are enjoying the story. Real life comes first, and the RP should never be a source of stress.

I would really prefer a complex story to a simple one. I like stories with bad guys chasing our main characters. I would like a layered story with some lore. The posts themselves do not need to be huge, but I want to build up a story with someone.
