tho there is still the Threat of potentially bein back at square one if certain things dont get approved in the next month but heres hopin that doesnt happen bc im sick of bein in pain ๐Ÿฅน

So, uh, I got bad news, everyone. My computer basically quit working on me. Long story short, it can still turn on, but, the login screen won't load properly and it just keeps looping between the logo and the login screen. Apparently, it has something to do with the OS. My computer is a Toshiba Chromebook (they don't even make those anymore, which should tell you how long I've had it). Apparently, the only fixes are to either to go through this whole process involving using a USB drive and attempting to salvage the OS that way...or get a new computer. Either choice sets me back a pretty penny to say the least. In the meantime, I'm borrowing my mom's laptop until we can figure out what to do next. Sadly, that also means I'm not sure if I'll be able to RP for a while.

I do wonder, how can you usually tell? I know there's even people who prefer not to RP with anyone whose under the age of 21 or even 25. But at a certain point I feel like it's hard to really tell the age.

I think itโ€™s easier to tell when someone is a child, like still in elementary or even early middle school. Like the writing style and sometimes the way they interact will give it away. But sometimes theyโ€™ll still say theyโ€™re an adult and thereโ€™s not much else you can do. When an older kid or teen is a decent writer (or when someone is an adult learning the language or just doesnโ€™t have the writing skills yet), it gets harder to tell.

I think 18-21 and up to 25 is a lot harder to tell, but maybe someone a couple of decades older might be able to sus out the vibe better!

Gosh, I'd have to read some of my old stuff to remember how I RPed when I was a kid... I think things tended to happen without any real rhyme or reason ๐Ÿค” And definitely couldnโ€™t use hard words (and if I did it's because I just learned it and wanted to show off ๐Ÿ˜)

Even in IRL there's times when the younger person acts infinitely more mature than the older person ๐Ÿ˜’ So it's also hard to just base it off behavior.

I think the best guess I can make is what sort of slang they might use and if it's used as intended ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel like the only reason why I can usually tell is from working with kids every day ๐Ÿ˜…

BUT an amazingly good writer as a child would definitely fly under the radar haha

@tadcfnaf Welcome, welcome! Let me know if there's any specific idea you have for what happens in Kyo's Catharsis. ESPECIALLY if there's anything you have pre-established about your character (for example, the name and owner of the cafe Kyo is seeing right now). Otherwise I'm going to be making it up as we go.

Oh also: ddid you want Kyo to be perceived by any of the other player characters, and/or for Kyo to perceive any of them?
