You were certain you had never seen this woman before, yet there was an air of familiarity about her. It was as if her identity was ingrained in the back of your mind, a subtle whisper of her voice foreboding in the recesses of every living thing. She was inevitable.
"Unquestionably, undeniably, unremarkably, dead." Death spoke without revelation, without ceremony or compassion for how such news would weigh on a mortal like you. She seemed more interested in the shapes that this form's flesh took, stretched over the bone of her knuckles as she slowly lifted and dropped each finger in succession. "However, that doesn't mean this is the end of you, if you so wish. You see, there has been a thorn in my side for quite some time- a lowly mortal like you once were- who thought himself too high and mighty to answer my call when his time came." She curled each finger as it dropped, clenching them into a fist that accented her increasingly frustrated tone. "He has grown quite strong since his undeath, too strong for the denizens of his world to challenge him."
Death paused, a long breath passing through her as she released the tension in her hand. "That is where you come in. I would drag him below with my bare hands, yet he has severed his ties to the natural cycle of life and death, and is thus beyond my direct reach. Therefore, should you seek another life, another chance, then as the arbiter I shall grant it to you. Wield my blessing, breathe with life once more, and put an end to Praetor Vraumdal."
The formless void around you began to swirl, and weight returned to your limbs. You couldn't be sure if it was an eternity or an instant, but when air filled your lungs once more, you found yourself elsewhere.

Reborn: Death's Champion is an rpg of my own design, inspired by FitD games like Blades in the Dark and Scum & Villainy to incorporate stats and dice into a rules-light, fiction-first ttrpg engine. Expect a dynamic and progressive class system, simple character sheets, soft-medium magic, and dice throwing that leaves room for partial successes and gray areas rather than strict pass/fail rolling.
Set within the Kingdom of Alviora, you awake after an ethereal exchange with Death herself to find you've been given another lease on life. Do you have what it takes to wield the blessing of Death and defeat the most powerful lich this world has ever seen? Embark on your adventure how you see fit, explore the land, make a name for yourself, and alter the course of Alviora forever!

- Expect a long-term roleplay! Ghost-prone players need not apply.
- I would best describe my writing as somewhere between casual and advanced. I am verbose and I emphasize proper grammar, but I am vehemently against word/paragraph counting. If you have a post-length minimum that your partners must meet, then I am not the rp partner for you. I refuse to fluff my post with drawn out or extra content to meet a size quota, and stand by the notion that good writing is adaptable in length. Expect both long detailed descriptions and short quick dialogue (especially dialogue, I can't stand people who insist that I must turn a post where a character is replying in a fast back-and-forth conversation into 5+ paragraphs).
- Due to the nature of this rp, I will be writing in third person as I take on a GM role. I don't mind either way if you write in first or third person, and I'll adjust my writing as necessary. I prefer past-tense writing but could be convinced to write in present-tense if you really want.
- I am relatively busy out in the real world, but I will aim to post IC at least once per week, but you can expect more frequent posting most of the time. OOC however, I can be much more responsive.
- 18+ only! I'd like to incorporate mature themes such as violence, cruel world-states, and- of course- tons of smutt. As such, I'm only looking to play with other adults.
- Stats and dice! I'm looking to test a ttrpg engine of my own design. Expect rules-light stats, magic, abilities and dice.
- Co-op world-building! I'm rather good at improvising as I go, but I also love to partake in world building with my partners. Please be willing to contribute to the lands, lore, nations, and such. It doesn't all need to be laid out at the start, we can build while we play if you'd prefer.
- OOC communication! I like to keep up with my partners out of character as well. Friendly chatting, world building, sorting out narrative direction, and of course addressing any issues we have with the rp or with posting availability.
