Greetings everyone, my name is Etmere and welcome to my request thread! It has been a while since I have made one of these so please excuse it if it isn’t the most beautiful. That and I’m doing it at work on a word document that I then email to myself to copy and paste from my phone!
To start off, a bit about me! I have been writing for around a decade and a half now. I started with just one liner chat style roleplays over skype and yahoo chat, before moving onto actual forum-based roleplays. I also play a lot of videogames and used to watch a lot of anime but not so much now due to limited time. Below will be the most important details related to how I roleplay:
Posting Length: Typically, I usually post a paragraph at minimum. This should be stated, this is my absolute minimum, regardless of how little is given back to me, I can usually get at least a paragraph made up. That being said, my average is closer to around 3 paragraphs. Though there really is no upper limit for how much I can write in that moment, it is largely dictated by how much you give me and what my muse looks like in the moment, as well as what is going on in the story at that moment.
Posting Frequency: I try my best to post at least once a week. I have a busy life outside of this, however, as I do work full time, go to school part time, and must work out as well as various errands. For the most part, most posts might be coming while I’m working. If it has been a few days, feel free to give me a poke or check in, and I will let you know what’s going on!
Out of Character Chatter: I love to talk, whether it’s about our story or about life. I also love world building, coming up with schemes and drama for our characters, among many other things. So, expect me to always be up to chatting.
Grammer/Spelling: Hey, the English language is by no means an easy language, not even to those who are native speakers of it. Which means I don’t expect you to be perfect in either Grammer or Spelling. Honestly, in most cases my brain autocorrects while I am reading anyways and won’t notice smaller mistakes both in my writing and yours. I personally use Grammarly or other writing programs that usually will catch errors so hopefully there won’t be many but if there are, I apologize now!
In Character: I only write in third person past tense. I have tried others and they just don’t jive with me.
Romance/Smut: When it comes to stuff like this, I want to preface it by saying that I am sucker for romance, love, smut, all of it. But I don’t want it right away. I want it to be a slow burn. Let those complicated feelings develop. Let the anxiety, the drama, the jealousy, all of it burn hot until finally our characters can’t help and accept the fact that they want the other person, even if they try to deny it for some reason. Feel free to talk to me about it though and we can always decide if we want it to develop at a more structured pace or more free form.
Character Appearance: I typically prefer to use anime, web comics, essentially whatever it is I can find that looks like the character I have envisioned in my mind.
Now here is what I expect from you:

Out of Character Chatter: I am fine if you are not talkative that is fine, just make sure to at least work with me to a minimum level in terms of deciding what kind of story we are experiencing together.
Grammar/Spelling: As I said, I am not the best, and I don’t expect you to be either. If I can read what you’re putting out, that is good enough for me. If I am having issues reading your post, I will kindly message you about it.
In Character: I would prefer it if you also wrote third person past tense, since that is what I write and it makes it easier to read. However, I have written with others who write in other perspectives and this rule generally follows the previous one. If I can read your post and understand what is going on, I probably won’t complain.
Romance/Smut: Follows the same idea as what you can expect from me as that is a harder rule than anything else. If you would prefer something faded to black, just let me know and I am happy to honor that!
Character Appearance: I have no restrictions on this for yourself. Use whatever you want to portray your character. Whether it’s a picture or even just a written description, none of it bothers me.
Now that all of that is out of the way, let’s move onto the fun stuff! Plot candies and what not! My interest level can be represented in something by the number of asterisks there are, with 1 being low, 3 being normal, and 5 being all I can think about. The role I wish to play will also be bold.
Roleplays:
***The Mana Drought: Mature, MxF, Fantasy, Romance, Adventure
In a world of magic, there were always desert regions where the land was so inhospitable that not even the energy of magic could exist. These regions were considered natural disasters that one would avoid going into at all costs. However, when these regions started to slowly expand, the nation’s took notice and sought to find the answer at all costs. One such nation, The Imperium of Steel, hired two people, a knight of the imperium who was rising through the ranks of the knight order, and a mage who could do research into the desert phenomena. What they discover is only known to the gods and unbeknownst to them, it will change the direction of the entire world as they know it.
This roleplay will involve our two characters, YC the knight, and MC the mage researcher, traveling together to the center of the desert to discover the cause of the sudden growing rate of the desert and its ability to suck life and mana from the very world itself.
*****The Mystical Nine Life Herb: Mature, MxF, Xianxia, Romance, Adventure
This one has less of a hard plot and more of a loose idea, essentially MC is from the demonic faction and was sent to find this herb so that it could be made into 9 mystical pills that have the ability to not only bring the one that consumes it back from the brink of death, but also completely reforge their body into a physique rumored to be on the level of godly beings. YC is either from the orthodox faction or the unorthodox faction and has also been sent to find the herb for the same reason. Unfortunately, both of our characters, when on the way there, find the entrance to the Mini world that contains the herb but loses the lives of the peoples that came with them as well as being injured and finding themselves physically weaker in this other world. They must work together to gather the herb and then leave the world as well. What happens after that is up to us since it being Xianxia means that the plot can develop and evolve over a long period of time.
I would prefer it if you knew what Xianxia is, but if not, I can do my best to explain it or even suggest webcomics that you can read that are in that genre if it’s something that you’re interested in.
Some genres I’m interested in are:
Fantasy, Xianxia, Romance, Adventure, Science Fiction, Supernatural (Basically fantasy in the modern world), LITRPG, Isekai.
