heya! i'm quasar (she/her).

my dragon age specific interest check was getting unwieldy and i have a hankering to diversify my roleplay assets. thus, the spinoff thread with considerably less pretentious formatting!

fact-sheet

i'm a pnw weirdo sprinting full speed towards 40. i don't have nearly enough tattoos, i almost have enough cats, and i have way too many hobbies

anyways, this is what you can expect from me as a writing partner:

lfg gamers

fandoms i fuck with:
  • mass effect

  • pillars of eternity

  • forgotten realms, particularly baldurs gates 2 era. i would lose my shit to play in the time of troubles. bg3 is also great!

  • kingmaker adventure path, pathfinder

  • jujutsu kaisen

  • dragon age, which has its own specific interest check. but like. listen. look. i love it okay

i'm picky about my fandoms, and i exclusively use them as sandboxes for original characters. canon characters can exist, but there's gotta be at least 2 to 3 degrees of separation.

original settings
i would love to play in settings inspired by (and using, if you're down) some powered by the apocalypse rulesets:

  • urban shadows (1st edition. will try 2nd tho) wolves and vampires and oracles, oh my! modern supernatural in queens new york. a little grim, a little dark, a lot complicated. okay, a little grim, a lot dark, a lot delicious complicated.
i've got a walking dumpster fire bodega girl with low impulse control and from a massive family of wolves. she had a hunting partner who went missing 2 years back. the trail went cold and she moved on; so, naturally, said hunting partner should come back in the most inconvenient way possible.

i've also got a control freak psychic with dubious morals trying to carve out a place for herself after she got caught leading a little cult.

  • monster of the week: alan wake adjacent vibes and spooky shenanigans in modern day...
    new england?
    pacific northwest?
    some secret third option?
i offer an emotionally constipated spell slinger chock full of generational trauma and burdened by duty. said familial duty is watching over a forest that straddles the veil and keeps popping out monsters. what was once a large clan has dwindled down to a single family with 2 children. needless to say, things aren't going great

i'm much more flexible with original settings. feel free to pitch me your ideas! i will let you know if it is or isn't my cup of tea.

oh, just one more thing

the most important part of 1x1 roleplaying is equal effort.

please don't put all the burden of plotting on me. i want us to share ideas and enthusiasm for each other's contributions to the story. cringe is dead, let's get earnest

my goal is that we can build a rapport and trust where we both feel comfortable making plot decisions for the game as a whole, and safe enough to throw a spanner in the works to catch each other off guard.
