Kimberly started the van.

"Right."

A beat.

"Not haunted."

She pulled back onto the road.

"We found random body parts in woods, emergency services won't stay connected, and everyone in this van is concerning in unique and creative ways."

A pause.

"Completely normal town."

She glanced at Colt in the mirror.

"I feel much better now."

"Well now, we don't know that it's necessarily 'old and rotting'." Colt said, and shrugged off the comments about the ghosts. He didn't believe ghosts existed anyway, so it made no difference to him whether they liked him or not.
He looked back at Kimberly in the mirror. "There's reasonable, non-paranormal explanations for everything. That guy probably encountered a bear or mountain lion. And service out here is extremely spotty."
Then, he went back to scrolling through social media on his phone.

Kimberly snorted.

"Uh-huh."

She kept her eyes on the road.

"Bear. Mountain lion. Spotty service."

A beat.

"See? This is why I bring you."

She pointed at Colt through the mirror.

"When we find detached arm in woods, you immediately come up with normal explanation."

Another pause.

"Meanwhile Liza is probably naming the ghost already."

Kimberly shook her head.

"I need balance in my life."

"YEah, yeah, a bear living perfectly good meat uneaten in someone's wheel, like they do."
turns to Colt
"it's obviusly some kind of werewolf, or ghost or ghost werewolf."
a beat
"Did anyone bring a clock? somethings banging on something and you don't hear it?"
