Greetings Roleplayers!

Just a quick topic to see if anyone is interested in a Superhero style Roleplay. I know, there are some flying about on the forums but I wanted to start a new one, because I always find out about them too late. That's actually it, the story is probably going to set in 2095 in New Tokyo, the third biggest city in the world. More information coming soon!

Haha, Tokyo was the first city that came to my mind. It was that or New York, but New New York sounds bad in comparison to New Tokyo. Further information is coming soon, just got to get my imagination going.

@Aegis Ater; yeah, I probably should have posted something about Omega. What I have in mind right now is that 'Omega' could be one main villian or a group of villians working together and his/her/their rise. The title is mainly backstory for the city, but if you have any suggestions just let me know!

I like the idea of Omega being the name of an organization rather than a single person for some reason, if that means anything. ^^;

Well Omega, being the last letter of the greek alphabet, is generally used to mean "the end", "the last" or "the ultimate limitation of ability" in epic situations. So whoever has that name is likely either the last of their kind (maybe a long lost insanely powerful race, like dragons), the highest possible evolution of their kind (or possibly the series of mutations/experiments that created them) or hellbent on bringing about the end of the world (such as a doomsday cult or an antichrist figure). Those are my thoughts.

Or they're just overly confident and think they're the ultimate force or something. XD

...I dunno, I just seem to like the name Omega when it's less meaningful and more that the people using it are overly pretentious, but again that's just me.

I'm looking to get back into RPing, so I'm down for this.

Quick question though, what is the power scale you're looking at here? Like Justice League tier, or at the levels of like the average x-men? Maybe even Misfit levels if you're feeling bold? Just trying to get an idea for my character.

My thought was to cap the power scale somewhere about Justice League level. So powers such as Flash's and Batman's are fine by me. Superman, not so much (seriously, you can't do dog nuts against him without kryptonite!). That's mostly it, make your superhero/villian not unkillable nor too strong and no using blood magic or mind control on others without asking them.

I could use a group RP. Yeah sure, I'm on board.

Are there any limitations to the origin of powers/origin of the character? We're not all going to be humans with special powers, some could have supernatural, trans-dimensional or otherworldy situation going on? Are we allowed to have outside stories for our characters away from Omega, say our own villains and side-plots or is this strictly based on Omega?

Nah, you can go nuts with those situations. I'm currently working out the story though; see Omega as some kind of Loki in The Avengers. Everybody has their own stories, friend and villians, but the main story is going to be about Omega and his 'evil plan'. So, in short, go nuts with your origin, just don't make it a robot nazi dog who curses in Latin and kills people by looking in the mirror whilst throwing explosive strawberries.

Great to hear @Apzac! The OOC is almost done and than you guys can post your CS's on there! Just a quick question, can somebody make a character roster? An old pal helped me with it but I haven't found him back on the new forums so I wondered. If not, that's also okay, we don't need it, but it's just handy!
