Personality: Mami appears as an older, more experienced girl. She is shown to have feminine tastes, such as drinking tea and dressing with flower clips in her hair and bows on her shoes.

She has a strong sense of personal justice, which keeps her on the path of helping innocents despite gaining little reward for it. This sense of justice also makes it difficult for her to team up with other magical girls for more than short periods. These circumstances compound with her lonely nature as an orphan who has trouble making friends at school due to her having little time for much outside of demon hunting, which has turned Mami into a very isolated person looking for friends.

She has been shown to take the harsh truths of the magical girl system quite badly depending on the circumstances, and at times has proven to be unstable and dangerous when confronted with them.

Mami always uses honorifics and calls people by their surname with the honorific '-san'. This shows her age and emotional distance to the other girls, who are younger than her and closer in age to each another.

Background: Mami made her wish after she was in a car accident with her parents. She was most likely very badly wounded, as her parents died on the scene, and Mami only survived due to making a wish with Kyubey, who appeared at just that moment, leaving Mami little time to consider her wish. For some time after that, Mami fought to save people from demons by herself.

Ability: Mami's primary weapons are percussion-lock rifled muskets, which she can summon in large numbers and are fired by hand, remotely or are used as a melee weapon. Expended bullets can summon strings to ensnare the foe.

Mami's weapon which she uses for her finishing move, Tiro Finale, is an enormous percussion lock cannon. The cannon and the method of use seems to vary each time she summmons it, implying that she probably creates it to match what she has in mind then.

Mami's guns can only shoot one bullet, but the type of the bullet can also vary so it can shoot shotgun shells too.
Mami also uses ribbons which she can use to bind enemies. She extends them from her clothing or summons them out of the air.

Mami fights in a very focused and disciplined manner, choosing her shots carefully and reacting quickly when she gets into trouble. Mami's fatal weakness is that she can be taken down if she is not paying attention.

Other: Mami enjoys hosting tea parties. She has been shown to be a rather good cook, especially when it comes to dessert. Her Soul Gem has the shape of a flower. Both Mami's guns and bullets are made of ribbons, her original magical ability.

Personality
Kyoko is a rough and hot-headed girl. She can be rude most of the time, but when you get know her more, she would appear to be kind. She is actually caring and protective, especially to her closest friends. Even dying for someone important to her.

She also loves eating. Usually, she would be eating Pocky. Though, it would appear that she does bad deeds to get these foods. When someone wastes food in front of her, she would get mad.

Background
Kyoko lived in a church in Kazamino along with her father, mother, and her sister, Momo. Her father is a priest of their church and has plenty of listeners, until he became immersed in different things. He eventually added personal beliefs in his discussions that went against the usual lectures of the church. This made people ignore him and not attend the Sakura Church. Her family were driven to poverty as people stopped attending the church. Then Kyubey appeared and told Kyoko that he would grant one wish that she wants. She wished for people to believe in her father's words. The church had gained attendants once more and its audience grew and grew. People had listened to his father, accepting his ideals because of her wish.

Eventually, her father found out about her wish when a witch invaded the church. The priest, realizing that people believed him because of magic and not personal belief, was pushed to madness. This led him to killing Kyoko's mother and sister. Committing suicide by hanging himself afterwards. Kyoko being the last member alive of the family.

After witnessing what happened to her family, she thought that everything was her fault because of the wish she dedicated to someone else. She then decided that she would use her power selfishly so that no one would meet the same fate of her family.

Ability
Her weapons are her spears. She can summon them in many numbers as long as necessary. Her spears can also be sectioned and are connected by chains. The length of her spears can be manipulated by her as well. Additionally, once she removes her ribbon, her spears will become larger and stronger. She will gain the ability to make fires as well. However, this is considered as her last resort as this will kill her in the process due to the immense amount of magic that will be used.

Another ability of hers is illusions. However, due to some bad experience, she doesn't use this anymore.

Ruri is a cheerful and optimistic girl. With this trait, she gained many friends and followers because of her hobby, cosplaying. She became popular because of her hobby. Many people know her, mostly anime fanatics. Close to celebrity, but also not. When an anime event is going to be held, she will always ready a costume and attend the conventions. She also gained a talent due to this hobby which is dressmaking. Her costumes are made by herself. It was a much better way of getting costumes since it's more affordable than buying from others. She also models with her costumes. This way, she earns money. Another way is by making costumes for others. Since she has that hobby, obviously she like anime and manga as well. Aside from those, she also likes sweets, specifically chocolate.

Background
Ruri didn't have that many friends in her childhood. The reason is because her parents are protective. So much that most of her actions are orders by her parents. She didn't have the courage to face them and tell them that she doesn't like how she's being treated. In school, she is very quiet, almost speaking to no one. She was too shy to do so. This was the result of her parent's protectiveness. However, when she became fluent with computers and the internet, she was able to gain friends. She had more courage in the internet as no one knows her in real life. She joined many groups, mostly anime fanatic groups as she is one herself. Many people conversed with her and treated her kindly in the internet. There were still mean people, but she managed to stand up to them along with her friends.

Time passed and she finally took her personality in the internet to her real self. She managed to speak to people and acquire real life friends. Soon, she spoke with her parents too. And fortunately, they understood and accepted her terms. Though it was seen that they had a hard time deciding.

Then she started learning many things in the internet, and one of those is cosplaying. How you can buy things in the net, how you pay for them and how they will come to you. She bought her first costumes and finally cosplayed. She found it fun as many people looked at her, admiring her. They seem delighted. That's what brought her to do this more until it became her hobby. Then in her school, they were taught about stitching, designing, dressmaking. That's how she started to become indulged in such a thing. Eventually, she used her talent to make money. Modeling and making costumes. Her parents became supportive with it as well, so they did all they can for their daughter. And that's how Ruri became what she is now.
