The crumbling skyscrapers of Chicago, used to be home to thousands of people, but now to only a remaining few hundred left. Thanks to the robots, a black haired man with a tattered black shirt cameo pants and combat boots was walking the streets. His rifle in his hands, he did his usual patrol through the city picking off any robots that decided to remain on the streets.

Jacob didn't show mercy to any robots that crossed his path, that was for sure. He slowly made his way back to the base, something was wrong that's when shots rang out. Quickly he got into cover, "I need back up now we got a whole group of them downtown!" He yelled into his ear piece as he fired off a few rounds at the robots before taking cover again.

Elliot ducked behind a wall when the shots started to get fired. She still had human flesh, so unlike that robots who cared on through the bullets denting their armour, she could feel the impact of the bullets. She turned to face the wall she was leaning against. Grabbing the brick, she quickly began to the building. She reached the top a knife protruded out of her wrist and stabbed it into the crumbling roof and pulled herself up. She remained on the edge wall, not trusting the floor of the roof. She made her way along, looking down from above at the robots and the array of fire. Her eyes shot to a man hiding, as he shot around the corner of his cover. The corner of her mouth pulled back into a smirk.

She began to run on the edge of the building before she soared into the air. With a thud she landed in front of the man with ease. She grabbed his gun with her humanesque hand and pushed it away from her. A moment later, her animatronic hand can down on it, shattering it in two. She jumped back before the man could grab her and stood prepared for an attack.

Jacob looked at the android in front of him, this android had been the Ellie he used to know. He shook his head, she wasn't the same person she was back then, soon human snipers from the roof were picking off the robots. Easily enough, he jumped behind the android whispered only one word Just loud enough for it to hear "Elliot." Then he jumped climbing the wall at a fast rate retreating with the others.

Once there he made his way toward the storage room where they kept all there weapons, slowly he got another rifle up and running. With explosive rounds rather than the regular rounds, he knew ten wouldn't work on the robots anyway.

Elliot turned to swing at the man who whispered in her ear only to see him running off and up a wall. Elliot... That was her name right? A monotonous voice spoke in her head, "Follow him."

She looked around, most the humans had fled from the street, including the man. She raced forward and once more began climbing the wall. When she reached the rooftop, she caught sight of him, fleeting away on the roof tops. She tore off after him. She felt sparks racing along her legs, preventing her muscles from seizing or tiring. Wires ran through body all to make her function like robot but she remain vulnerable to certain pains as a human. She was stronger now, thus the reason, she had been able to jump from stories in the air and land unscathed but she was still susceptible to bullets and knives. She followed him until he ran into a building and disappeared. She jumped onto the roof and found a glass window. She looked in to see him gathering another gun and bullets. She moved to the edge of the roof and looked to the door, curious if he planned to come back out and fight.

"Jacob you can't go back out there you know what will happen if you do." He turned to find his brother standing there, "I'm not going back out there I'm just making sure I'm ready for another fight." He silently slung the gun over his shoulder, "David you already know things won't get better for us, I don't know what to think anymore I'm a soldier I'm supposed to take down robots and androids.....I didn't take down the android in front of me today it looked to much like Elliot. Damn it!" He slams his fist into the wall cracking the concrete wall he shook his head, and slowly sunk to the ground.

"Just leave me alone for awhile David please," his brother nodded and ran off. Jacobs shoulders were shaking, he took off the black shirt to reveal the robot arms that replaced the ones he lost to the grenade. He just sits there in his own thoughts as time passes by.

Elliot sat on the edge of the roof staring down at the door directly below her. The voice in her head, spoke again, "Go."

She shook her head, "Not yet," She said aloud, "The place is filled with guns and I can't see everyone inside. It would be pointless."

The voice was quiet for a moment before it spoke, "Kill the man and I will return to you one of your memories."

This shouldn't have interested her. She didn't know what it was like to have memories. She knew that she wasn't a robot and that she had once been a human but she had only even be intrigued slightly by the memories of her past. There was a hissing sound before a feeling of warmth filled her. A small smile spread across her lips before the feeling was cut off and she was left cold. The voice spoke again, "I can return to you the memory that brings to you that feeling. But first, you must kill the man."

Elliot stood and walked over to the glass window and stood over it. She punched the glass, causing to shatter and fall to the ground below. She land on her feet and quickly surveyed the area. She looked at the man and smirked, "I have orders to kill you."

Jacob looked up fast, he scrambled to his feet faster than normal human legs could do. He swallowed, but he kept his ground. He pulled the gun off of his shoulder and aimed it at her, "I am not afraid to shoot you Elliot but take one more step or run or whatever your about to do and you'll get blown to pieces." His face blank and void of emotion, and his voice cold and dead serious.

Quickly he heard Kyle's voice in his ear piece, "Jacob what's going on down there?" He kept his eyes locked on the person in front of him, "Kyle send a group or 10 soldiers no wait make that 20 we got ourselves an android down here and not just a random one Elliott here to kill me." He said in a cool voice, he wasn't afraid to die if it saved others he would.

Elliot looked at Jacob as he threatened her, "And I'm not afraid to die."

She bionic arm shot out to the side, releasing wires from her wrist. They wrapped around the leg of a near by table that was covered in gun. She swung her arm, sending the table at Jacob as she moved out of the way to avoid any bullets shot. In the commotion, she heard the sound of feet falling and people shouting. She looked at Jacob, seemed he called for back up. She ran, not toward the door to escape but instead toward the stairs that led into the room. She grabbed the railing of the staircase and proceeded to rip them apart. She threw them toward Jacob again. This time, however, she followed. In the commotion, she managed to tackle him and wrapped her metal hand around his throat, "I want to feel warm..."

Jacob saw the table come at him, he dropped to the ground and got to his feet again to be only tackled by Ellie. He felt her hand around his throat, slowly tightening. "You don't...remember do you....of course you don't.....they took those memorys of us....from you.....ten they would give you that memory back.....then you would've realized what you have done... .go ahead do it....they've already taken you from me.....I have nothing to live for." He choked out, by the time the others would make it down here it would be to late.

Elliot looked down at the man as he spoke. There was a pain in the back on her head that caused her to lighten her grip on him slightly. Quickly replacing it she stared down at him, "What are you talking about?"

"Don't listen to him," the voice said loudly in her head causing her to flinch, "Kill him!"

She removed her hand from his throat entirely and rose her hands to her head and screamed in pain as she remained on top of Jacob. She yelled, "Shut up!"

Breathing heavily, she looked back at Jacob, "What do you mean?" She nearly yelled at him. She could fell start to spread across her body as they tapped into her pain sensors. Normally, they did this to reduce her pain. This time, it was to make her listen. Tears that she seemed to be completely unaware of started to stream down her face as she replaced both her hands on his throat. She started to press down on it again when the yelling of men entered the room. It seemed that they managed to get passed the lack of a stairwell. There was bang and Elliot ignored it completely, her eyes glazed over as she mindless followed her order. She barely felt the bullet enter her shoulder until the electricity shot through her. She started to convulse on top of Jacob as she was electrocuted before she collapsed to the side. The flesh of her hand was burned from the electricity that coarsed through her metal arm, which managed to protect Jacob.

She lay there motionless and out cold.

Jacob gasped for air, slowly got to his knees. Before another soldier could take a step forward, Jacob yelled " back off now!" The soldiers stopped, Jacob got to his feet got Ellie in his arms. He wouldn't scrap her like the others no way was he going to do that. He got her to a cell cuffing her hands behind her back, then pulling out an old photo of them his arms wrapped around her waist while his head rested on her shoulder. He let out a sigh it was easier back then, now it's just hard to make sure he control himself at all.

He went out of the cell, closing the door behind him. "Were not going to scrap her she doesn't follow orders completely we just have to see what happens from here." His gun slung over his shoulder, and his knives secured to his belt. "It'll be sometime before Ellie wakes up," Kylie turns to him. "No matter how much you hope she won't come back to you." Jacob let out a snort, "but I can try."

Elliot woke up sometime later. Her eyes opened slowly and she tried to move her arms to find they were bound behind her back. The voice spoke, "You've been caught."

Elliot groaned, "Thanks for the update..."

Her eyes started quickly survey the area. She was locked in a cell. She squirmed a bit and managed to sit herself up. She rolled onto her knees and stood. She started to panic slightly as a feeling of claustrophobia washed over her. Immediately, her arm began to shoot out any gadget it had to release herself from her ties. All failed though, whatever material was to strong or placed perfectly to prevent her knife, and best choice, from being released from her compartment. The panic swelled in her and she started throwing herself at the wall, kicking here and there, trying to get out. She kicked at the bars before she noticed the picture on the ground. She hesitated and lowered to the ground. She sat and looked at the picture of a girl and boy. She was curious if the girl was her, why else would they leave it with her. She cried out in pain as there was a stabbing feeling in her head. The voice spoke, "Enough."

Elliot turned away from the picture and the bar off her cell and placed her forehead on her knees. She sat there as the voice spoke to her.

Jacob talked with the guard outside of Elliott cell, he didn't have anything else better to do. That's when the alarms went off, he groaned then cursed. "Where is the breach." He got the place where the breach was he ordered guards up there then handed one of them an EMP. Jacob smiled, go give them hell," h watched as the guards ran up the stairs. He looked at Elliot real fast before putting his attention to the hall again.

After a few hours he saw robots coming his way, he cursed fired off round of the explosive ammo tearing them apart. Before he was hit on the right side of his chest with a bullets, th tried firing at his arms and legs but the bullets only bounced off. Jacob winced in pain, as he shifted himself firing off more rounds only to be shot at again.

When the robots entered the hallway, Elliot was lying on her side. The voice had gone quite some hour ago and she was left to listen to the man shuffling every once and a while in the hall. As she heard the robots, she stood and turned, she assumed they were here not only to kill the humans but for herself as well. She heard the crumpling of the photo under her foot and looked at it again. She stared and it before she whispered, "Wait..."

"What?" The voice said impatiently. She looked up again and out of the cell, "Don't kill him, I want answers."

"We will give them to you when we choose," The voice replied. Elliot shook her head, she wasn't okay with that. She ran over to the cell bars. She grabbed on of the bars awkwardly behind her back and leaned, bending it. She did the same to the bar beside it before she ran toward the fray, using Jacob as a shield. When she was ready, she easily jumped over Jacob and ran her foot into a robots head. Elliot landed and spoke again to the voice, "You won't.... He will."

"We will give you answers when we choose," The voice repeated. Elliot was not content with that answer and kicked another robot off the level and onto the floor below. She growled, "I want answers."

"We will give you answers when we choose."

She rammed another robot into the wall and as it recovered, kicked off its head. She yelled, "Give me answers!"

"We will give you answers when we choose."

She screamed, "Bullshit!" She flipped above throwing and destroying the robots as best she could with her hands bound behind her back. When they were gone, she fell to her knees, 'I want answers..."

Jacob lay there crumpled on the floor, the corner of his mouth twitched but other than that he fidnt show any emotion on his face. "You'll get your answers here Elliot some robots will never give you the answers you want no matter how much you want them to." He slowly progressed to get on his knees, he grunted in pain "man I'll need to get that checked out."

Soon he got to his feet, taking the key out from his pocket. Setting the gun down on the floor, "can I trust you enough that you won't attack me when I get these off of you I need you to promise that if you don't these won't come off." His voice wasn't giving off any emotion as he spoke, he kneeled down behind her he was waiting for her answer before he took these things off.

Elliot looked straight ahead as the man spoke to her, saving the robots would not provide her any answers but he would. She listened as he walked up behind her asking her if he was safe to remove the handcuffs that held her wrists together. She kept staring straight ahead before she answered, "What does it matter? I could kill you without them," she said blandly.

She sighed and bowed her head, "If you promise to answer my questions... I'll try not to kill you," she glanced over her shoulder, "I can't exactly promise... Voices in my head and all."

She looked ahead again, "I'll do my best to ignore them...."

Jacob let out a sigh, "it's the least I can do for you Elliot," he undid the handcuffs. "Wow they really did wipe your memory clean, my name doesn't do any good really if you don't remember me at all but I might as well give it to you. Names Jacob, I'll answer the questions you have I promise that."

He grabbed the gun, slung it back over his shoulder as soldiers came running. "Back off now go back to your regular posts there's nothing dangerous if there was I would have radioed you and warned you." The soldiers nodded and ran off, "alright since your going to be here for a long while I might as well show you your old quarters to you."

Elliot looked at him when he introduced himself. She rubbed her human wrist and winced a little as the handcuffs had cut into it. When soldiers entered, she did her best not to react and freak them out. Besides, she didn't want her hands locked back up.

"Kill him," the voice in her head hissed.

Her eye twitched as she ignored it. She looked up at Jacob when he explained what he was going to take her. She nodded her head. Pursing her lips, she walked with him, "My old quarters... And you know... my name? And the picture... that was me..." he knew her, that was for sure. It wasn't just words he had said to stop her from killing him.

"If you followed orders, it never would have stopped you," the voice muttered. She ignored it.

She slowly started to think about her first question. She decided to start off easy, "How old am I?"

Jacob didn't have to think twice at that one, "your nineteen Elliot." He said as he started walking toward her old quarters, "and yes I knew you before.....you were altered." He chose the words carefully as he said them, still it was hard for him to bear of thinking of that day he dreamed about it enough already.

Soon they had gotten to her old quarters, "nothings changed we left it untouched. No one would really come in, and the photo was taken just a day before the robots revolt back then it was easier to get rid of them now not so much." The door to her quarters slips open revealing the room inside.

Elliot walked into the room that had apparently once been her own. There was a sheet hanging above the only window that had been fashioned into curtains. Her bed was made but that seemed to be the only clean part of it. She turned on the light that sat by her bed and looked around. There were books strewn across the floor in small little piles as though she had been trying to keep clean. One book drew her attention as it sat at the bottom of her bed, left open. She lifted it and read the title aloud, "Pride and Prejudice... Did I like this book," she asked as she flipped through the pictures before tossing it to the side.

She kept looking around the room. There were a few pictures sitting on different pieces of furniture. She picked up one of them to see another picture of her and Jacob together. It seemed they had been close. She replaced it on the dresser and sighed. There wasn't much to see. The room was terribly small taking only a few steps to navigate anywhere. She looked back at Jacob, "Didn't you have to get looked at?"
