So, in addition to being in a roleplay and in the process of creating a game, I've decided to open up a graphics shop. I'm working with pixels and I'm becoming acclimated to how it all works, but I'm still learning as I go, and this is a great way for me to improve.

I look at the process like this.

By filling out and submitting a request, you are agreeing to be patient with how much time it can possibly take. Don't think I will flake out - you WILL get your request filled. In fact, to keep in contact and for you to monitor progress, I will contact you occasionally to provide some mock-ups of your request. I might take some creative liberties, might not, but this method allows you to know what's going on and to give feedback on what looks good and what doesn't, as well as request any adjustments and changes you want me to make to your request.

As any shop owner has done in the forum, here's a couple of examples of things I've done.

Request: Signature button/stamp

Size: Small. I want it to be a little thing to be included into a signature, but not signature size. In fact, I don't want it to be as big as an avy. I want it tiny. Tiny. Miniscule. These words should lead you right.

Description: I want a flying owl sprite. Make it fierce. I want a nice, sharp beak. Large wings. Should be a profile stance with flapping wings that occasionally cover up the face. It has to get places. Do things. It doesn't have to move fast, just purposefully.

Reference(s): Artistic liberties. But I love the color blue. Also, I think Rosetta Art stuff is kinda pretty. A blue and purple owl would be awesome. Probably should have white in there somewhere too.

Inspiration(s): Anything with the wubz. Though Trifonic is pretty awesome.

Alright, champ, make it so. Let me know if this is a bit advanced of a request. A standing owl would be fine, but I'd like to see you stretch your legs.

Okay. Here is Kessa's request - a pixelated owl.



I'm not skilled enough to completely create one from scratch at the moment, so I took an existing sprite and made a ton of edits and additions to it, including essentially recoloring and sharpening the sprite, removing several frames and rebuilding the ones I left, adding a beak and some streaks to make it look like it's flying rather quickly. I also added a purple fade on every other frame just for kicks and it turned out kinda good. The customer was "very satisfied", and I even got some approvals from other people. I'm happy with it.

I started working on this a few days ago.



It's nothing much currently, but more features are definitely coming.

I couldn't sleep, so I did some fan art of Cryaotic from YouTube, leaning up against a pillow and loving its comfort.
