Jacob mumbled something and rolled onto his side facing Elliot, he slowly opened his eyes. He squinted at the sunlight coming in on the room before pulling the pillow over his head. Not wanting to wake up just yet, he didn't feel like dealing with anyone else today. The memory had faded when he had woken up.
"Hey!" Elliot said quietly as he pulled a pillow onto his face, "I was looking at you."
She laughed rolled over, closing the blinds as best she could without getting up from her bed. Turning back to him, she stole the pillow and placed it under her so that she sat in a more upright position. She placed her hand on his chest and slowly started to run her hand over it and his shoulders. She looked at him and smiled, "That sleep... was nice..."

Jacob smiled at Elliot's yell, then he finally realized he wasn't with a pillow anymore. He looked around trying to find another, he sighed in disappointment when he didn't find one. "For once you didn't have to wake up in middle of the night to make sure you were alive."
Elliot smiled as Jacob searched around for another pillow. It was amusing because she would just steal it away as well. Couldn't have him covering his face while she was looking at it. She rolled of the pillows so that she was propped up, her elbows on either side of his head, which was just below her own. She looked at him, "Did I use to do that?" she asked while she started to play with his messy hair.

"Yes" Jacob groaned, he looked into her eyes. "Never liked it when you stole my pillow from me when I wanted to sleep in Ellie." He smiled, as he put his hand around her waist and let it travel up her back. He knew wherever he touched her he would leave a trail of heat.
Elliot smiled and kissed him quickly, "I'm sorry... But the more you sleep, the less we get to talk and I want to talk to you..."
She felt the heat of his hand running up her spine and laughed a little, "I don't think you mind to much."
She continued to play with his hair, trying to neaten it up. She shook her head, "You need a hair cut."

Jacob laughed as she messed with his tangled hair, "like that's ever going to happen Ellie you said that a year ago even threatened me you would cut it yourself, but when you tried to get the scissors to my hair I caught your arm and did this." He got himself onto his elbows and kissed her.
Ellie was taken by surprise when he rose up and kissed her. She smiled, her hands still in his hair. When she broke away, she smiled at him, "That doesn't seem like much of a punishment for trying to cut your hair. More like positive reinforcement... Maybe I'll try again," she teased as she pressed her lips to his. She liked kissing him. The feeling she felt when she was with him. She assumed it to be love. She felt as though her old feelings were leaking through somewhere. The robots had less understanding of feelings as they didn't have any of their own. It made sense that it would be harder for them to hide them away.
She laughed a little, "How on earth did that stop me from cutting this mop?"

Jacob laughed, "hey! That's my hair your talking about," but he was laughing. Jacob shrugs, "I guess you never wated to be pushed up against the wall with most of my weight on top of you when you said you would try again."
Jacob looked at the scissors in Elliot's hand, he quickly got up from the chair and backed away. "Ellie put that thing away before either of us hurt each other in the process." He knew he had two ways out of this, the window which was behind her or the door.

Elliot laughed, "Ah, yes. Because that is so much worse that you lying on top of me in bed," she shook her head, "Before I get out of this bed, I suggest you find someone to do it for you or I will."

Jacob quickly got out of the bed, "alright sheesh alright I'll get it done later, Kyle needs me as soon as he can which I'll be going to him he says he needs a recon team to place a bomb in the suburb to weaken the robots, so I need to get my gun and my squad up and running." He said as he slipped his shirt back on, and grabbed his boots and started tying them.
Jacob looked at Elliot and laughed, "ok have fun with that." He ran out the door toward the command center, getting through the crowd with ease as he was running through the halls to get to the command center before Elliot called catch up to him.

Elliot stuffed the scissors into a pocket attached to her belt. Securing it closed she chased after him. Luckily for her, he made a path through the crowds of people, easily allowing her to follow. She called after him, "Jacob! It's just a hair cut!!!"

Jacob nodded at the words, "you know you'll be able to see me through the city's cameras in the command center. I know you want to keep an eye on me Ellie, you can go there if you want." He kissed her once more, before heading out the door. He grabbed his gun got his squad together and into the truck.
Jacob looked down at her, a smile on his face. He felt a hand on his shoulder, he looked over to see Kyle. Jacob swallowed as Kyle forced him down into a chair. Putting his arms in the metal cuffs attached to the chair. "Kyle you traitor!" Kyle only smiled, "he's all yours Elliot."

She didn't bother changing just grabbed the clear plastic bag that was attached to her arm and carried it with her to the command centre. She looked at the screens as her legs shook slightly and her head throbbed.
She climbed off of him as Kyle walked over and forced him into the chair. She smiled happily as he called Kyle a traitor, only to have him offer him up to her. She grinned at Kyle, "Thank you for your help."

The truck took them as far as it could go, Jacob motioned his team to follow. They got there guns off there shoulders, and put the silencers on ten as they moved in. So far they weren't meeting resistance, then he heard metal hitting metal then he saw the grenade. "Get down!" They took cover, Jacobs ears were ringing as the firing started.
Jacob sighed when Elliot showed off the scissors in from of him, "show off" he mumbled under his breath. "You know I'm going to get Kyle back for this right," he lifted his wrists slightly the metal cuffs holding him to the chair. He looked at the floor, but otherwise didn't move.

Elliot saw the grenade in the video and her heart felt as though it stopped in her chest. She was suddenly on a roof, a short ways away from Jacob. He was yelling something as the grenade dropped in front of them but she couldn't hear. She couldn't hear anything as she stared at it. She rose her arm as she covered her face and started to move to the ground but the explosion came to soon and she felt her arm rip from her socket. She screamed silently in pain, crying. Robots walked toward her then as she clutched at her shoulder helplessly. They picked her up and she caught a glimpse of Jacob through the debris, lying there. He'd lost every limb, she sobbed and screamed his name. Yelling to him that she loved him before she lost consciousness.
Ellie came to on the ground. Someone... a doctor? was hovering over her. They were saying things but she couldn't hear. She was sobbing. She wanted Jacob.

Soon they had gotten the bomb, to the drop off point. He had one of his men on his shoulders, "stay with me." His voice was hoarse, he ran his gun forgotten. As they made there way to the trucks, they got in the truck started heading back toward base. His pressed the button making the building behind them explode.
They had gotten to base, he got the man on one of the beds in the medical wing. Jacob took a seat on another bed, he looked tired his face covered in soot and dirt. The memory had faded in the back of his mind.

Someone came into the command centre and looked at the doctor, "Jacob's back."
The doctor nodded and lifted Elliot off the ground, "Well, let's take her to him.... He's probably the only person who can calm her down at this point."
Her sobs had quieted from before but tears were still flowing from her eyes as they entered the medical wing. The doctor carried Elliot over to Jacob. She gratefully wrapped her arms around him and sobbed into his neck. The doctor looked at him, "She passed out when the robots threw the grenade at you guys... came to a bit later screaming for you. We got her to calm down slightly but couldn't stop her from crying."
He turned away and went to help with the injured who had returned to the base. She sniffled, "I... I .... I remembered... the... the... gr-grenade. W-when they t-took meee..."

Jacob put his arms around her, "shhhh it's alright Elliot it's all right." When she told him she remembered the day that they took her, he slightly nodded "it's not the most grateful memory you can remember, but at least your starting to remember the past Ellie. Now I understand why your crying Elliot, that day yah that day was the most horrible day ever."
Elliot curled up against him as he held her close. She closed her eyes, "I saw... the grenade... that they threw at you," She said, taking breaks to breathe, "And... I was.. s-scared... and then... I-I wasn't in t-the command centre a-anymore... I was on.. on the roof and... I lost my arm... and.. and... they took... me.... and I saw you d-dying..." She squeezed her eyes shut as best she could, "I-I told you I l-loved you... I was so scared...."
She whimpered a little as her hands found his hair, holding him tightly, "I... I love you... so much.... D-don't leave me again...."
