Bruce nodded, "yah both my parents are werewolves max , I can't give you everything about the pack or I would get myself killed by the pack easy enough." He moved his leg and winced, that was a bad move really for him to do.
Max nodded. "Sorry, I`m just interested I guess. This is the first interesting thing that`s happened here for a really long time. Everything around here is so peaceful, even news of something weird makes it around town in a day." She explained and leaned back. The door to the basement that lead upstairs opened and her uncle looked at all of them. "Max who`s that?" He asked worriedly looking at Bruce as he came in and shut the door behind him. Max looked at her uncle. "He`s Luke`s cousin, he got kicked out of his house and Luke`s parents can`t take him in. They were wondering if he could stay here for a couple days?" She lied quite well hoping Luke would play along.
Luke looked at Max, then let our a sigh. "My cousin here Bruce got kicked out of the house because of something stupid he did, he came to me for help and my parent-shirts don't have the room for him. I was wondering if he could stay here for a couple of nights?" Bruce looked at both of them, wondering why they would lie for him.
Her uncle looked at Bruce and then back at them thinking of what to do. He eventually sighed. "Fine but he`s sleeping down here and if I find out anything bad is going on he`s getting kicked out and I`m going to kill you Max." He said the killing part jokingly before going over to the fridge they had in the corner and got out a bottle of soda before going to the door. "Leave the door open." He said and walked up the stairs leaving the door open. Max sighed and looked at Luke. "Thank you," she whispered waiting to hear her uncle going into his room. As she heard creaking of floor boards fading Max nodded. "Alright so I guess your staying here...." She said not sure why she even said that.
Luke shrugged at it, "no problem really if I find out he's giving you a hard time I'm gonna hurt him." Bruce laughed at that, "you can't even hurt me if you tried Luke sorry dude just thought I could give you a heads up on that before you even laid your fist on me have supernatural healing since I'm a werewolf."
Max looked at them and shook her head smirking. "Is your pack going to be worried with you staying here? I don`t want any werewolves coming and knocking down my door." She said looking at Bruce. Honestly she wanted to be very far away from all those werewolves for at least a day or two. Last night was pretty horrifying for someone who`s had no supernatural experiences.
Bruce looked at her and smiled, "no they won't come looking for me unless I give the say so to do so." He let out a small chuckle, "when I said report back to the alpha they caught on to my act I'm the alpha of the pack they wot worry about me since they know I can hold my own."
Max looked at him shocked. "Your the Alpha! So if you'd said to kill us last night we'd be dead on your command!" She said shocked at this news. How could he just hide something like that! "Wpuldn't that mean your the strongest one?" She asked confused by it. Max didn't quiteget this guy he was so full of mystery and yet was so carefree about it like it was nothing.
Bruce nodded, "I'm the strongest one had to fight the last alpha for this position, your lucky I was the alpha when I found you in werewolf territory the last one would've killed you like you were just junk or something of the rather." He shifted his weight to get in a more comfortable position, "still I can be killed by my father the Marrok he's the alpha of all packs."
"So your dad is the lead alpha. So werewolf territory is branched in a way?" Max asked leaning back again. "By the way do you guys want anything to drink?" She asked realizing that she`d been a really bad hostess to them. It was a relief that they wouldn`t die for the moment because he was alpha. It was also a relief that her uncle had excepted him to stay here. She didn`t want him to be put out there while his leg was like that no matter what the circumstances.
Bruce nodded, "never thought someone could put it into out perspective." Bruce thought for a moment, "I'm not thirsty," like looked at him weird "I'll take a glass of water. How in the world can't you be thirsty?" Bruce shrugged, "I don't know I'm just not thirty at the moment."
Max nodded and got up she walked over to the fridge and got out two bottles of water and closed it again. She walked back over and handed Luke the bottle of water before plopping down in her seat again. "Well it just seems like that. Kind of like a government, bad example but there`s the capital of the country then there are the state capitals and then the regions inside them. It`s all a layered process." Max stated simply and unscrewed the cap before drinking the clear liquid inside.
Bruce thought for a moment, "it's not quite like that I don't know how to explain this it's kinda more complicated than that. I'm just giving you information that I know I won't get into trouble for." Luke looked at him, "wait you can get in trouble for giving us information?" Bruce nodded and sat up fully, "think of it like your in the marines and you can't get to classified information."
"I wouldn`t really compare it to that though. If your in the marines there`s a big reason you don`t do hat because if it leaks people will get hurt. Not many people around here believe in supernatural beings. We believe in the myths of them." Max added into the conversation. The information could hurt their pack but it was very unlikely.
Bruce looked at max, "the information that gets told to other people will hurt the pack more than you think. That's why I try to give you a little bit of information, but not much of it to where it will hurt my pack." Luke looked between them, "I would love to stay but I have somewhere to be." With that he went back to his truck.
Max watched Luke be and sat back looking at Bruce. "I guess that`s understandable, I mean you hardly know me or Luke." She said and drank more water. For some odd reason she was a lot more thirsty then usual. "So is there any side effect of being a human blood bag?" Max asked and looked over at him. It would make sense if there was although she doubted a hundred and ten percent that becoming a vampire wasn`t one of them.
Bruce thought for a moment, "yah there some down sides to it you get dizzy and a few other things that I don't want to go into max it just took me a little while to figure out what Brian was he was very good at hiding what he was. He left no traces of it, I finally typed in Brian's address it lead to an abandoned hotel building."
"He was a really bad person I should have noticed when I first met him. He compled us to believe that he went to another school and was living with his sister. Which knowing him he could have a companion hanging around. He had enough guts to comple two friends and then use them for his benefit." Max said and finished drinking the whole bottle of water.
Bruce nodded, "vampires don't really care who they use as long as they look like there humans they don't give a damn to anyone." He let out a sigh, uhhh Bruce vampires are heading our way you need to get here and fast Bruce bolted up onto his legs, he grimaced when he felt pain go through his leg.
Max looked at him and quickly got up. "You know you shouldn't be getting on to your leg. It's still healing up." She said blocking his path of walking. When she was set on something she proved to be rather stubborn.
