[IC] Secret Mission (Magarafoxfire and Drakon)

[Drakon rilt]

Kylar knocked on the mizukage's door, "come in!" He opened the door. "You needed me?" The mizukage looked up and nodded, "some ninja is coming in from another village to do a recon mission I want you on that team find out what's been going on," he nodded "anything else." The mizukage looked at him, "be careful Kylar I want you to come back alive," Kylar cracked a smile "I will try to sir."

Megumi was running towards the Village in the Mist, knowing she was being followed. She had felt the presence for a few miles now and it wasn't going away. She stopped running and jumped into the trees, using her shadow charka to hide from sight. She waited and sure enough three ninjas appeared, looking around. One said "Where did she go?" The other said "No clue, but the boss won't be happy if we don't bring her back..." The last one sighed and said "Lets get back...maybe she took a different route and we didn't see it" They all vanished and she sighed. "Spirit hunters...so not my day..." She used the trees to make it to the village, landing in front the of the gates and showing the ninjas there her papers, looking around. Then she headed to where they said the Mizukage was located, walking thru the city

Kylar was leaning against a separate desk the mizukage or David as he called him, kept there he was waiting on the other ninja. Some people thought he would slow them down, because he couldn't see. Kylar couldn't see, but his other senses had heightened he was glad David had trained him, if he didn't......well he wouldn't be where he was now. He was getting bored a bit, but he could deal with it he really didn't like sitting down and waiting. He knew he had to though, not a lot of people would say he was patient and he wasn't for the most part anyways. Some of the teachers at the academy wanted him to wear his head band on his head, but he really didn't he kept it on his arm. Kylar wasn't a person who liked wearing things on his head for the most part, for the main reason that it had left a scar over his right eye down to his chest.

The door opened and a young girl poked her head in. "A lady Megumi is here...she said you would be waiting for her" Megumi rested a hand on the girls shoulder and came inside, her boa staff and katana on her back as she stood before the pair. "Pardon for my lateness. I had to lose a few tails that were following me. Lady Megumi Shade of the Village of Moonbeam...part of the Shadow Clan." She moved forward and pulled out a scroll and held them out to the Mizukage. "My message and orders, sir." She looked at Kylar and smiled kindly, then looked back at the man behind the desk.

The mizukage looked over the orders, he looked at the girl in front of him he nodded towards Kylar "this will be your partner for this mission he's one of the best here." Kylar got to his feet, "you know your orders" he nodded "I do sir." He grabbed his quiver and bow, he slung them onto his back he was surprised she didn't say anything about him being blind. Many people always noticed it, that was the first thing they ever noticed about him. That's why Kylar didn't really speak much, he only really talked to the mizukage and that was it. No body else bothered to get to know him, like he really cared anyway.

Megumi smiled again and looked at kylar and said "it will be a pleasure to work with you. I hope I will be as helpful as I can during our time together" she looked back at the mizukage and asked "the council in my village didn't have time to give me details of our mission. I hate to ask, but could you give me the details of what we will be doing?"

The mizukage looked at Kylar "sorry old man I'm not explaining," he had a smile on his face. The mizukage sighed "sometimes I don't like it when you do that, its a recon mission there's been strange activity going on I need you and Kylar to find out what it is." Kylar looked around as the mizukage was explaining, some thing was up why so much strange activity? that's what he wanted to know, something big he just had to trust himself on this feeling. That's what he was taught go by instincts, don't think just do it always helped him out in tough situations.

Megumi nodded and said "understood. Thank you for getting me up to speed. And I hope that our village can move forward and find the cause of these actions together" she bowed her head, looking at kylar and her eyes glowed purple for a moment. Her chakra ran thru the room unseen by those untrained as she studied both men closely. *so his blind...but functions just like anyone else. He doesn't need his eyes....interesting. It shall be very interesting to work with him* she thought to herself as she raised her head again. "We can leave whenever"

Kylar nodded, starting to head out toward the front gates. Many people didn't really make any eye contact or look at him really, he ignored them and kept going. Sometimes the mizukage said, they'll get to know you when they are ready to. It would be hard for them to he knew that, he couldn't see at all he was born with the blindness, he always saw the world through his other senses, that's what other ninja had made mistakes by putting a blind fold over his eyes he could still see. That's the mistake most of them had made, with him he never really needed his eyes.

Megumi owed her head to the leader of the village and followed kylar, already liking this mission. She walked by his side, her arms folded behind her back as people stared at them. She smiled again and said "must get tiring with the looks. And old. I can relate. Master kylar I see we are going to make a great team"

[Drakon rilt]

Kylar cracked a small smile, but that was about it "just call me Kylar, and most of these looks are at you not me." He already knew they were looking pasted him at the new comer, he was used to getting looked through like he was nothing. Kylar couldn't see the looks, but he sensed them the village mostly ignored him for the most part. He didn't really care even though he was going to protect this village with his life, he kept walking till they got to the gates then broke into a run he mostly traveled by trees. It kept his legs from tiring out to soon, his hearing always helped him when he jumped from tree to tree always hearing where the next branch was coming from.

Megumi followed his lead, using the trees as well as she smiled again. "You be surprised. You may not be seen yet in your village, but at least you can be yourself....but that is too sad of talk for a start of a mission" she jumped ahead of him and said "I believe we should start in one of the bigger cities and work our way out to find information. What are your thoughts?"

Kylar sensed her in front of him, "those are exactly my thoughts work from the larger villages to the smaller ones." He stopped something was following them maybe 7 or 8 they were moving fast, these chakras seemed out of place here. They were moving to there position, slowly he raised his hands. He needed the sight to see how far they were, "byakugan." Kylar looked around they were maybe 2 or 3 miles out, but by the speed they were going they could cover that distance at a fast rate.

Megumi sensed them as well, but there weren't the men following her before. She moved back to be in line with him and said "you sense our guests as well. Any ideas how to handle them? We can't be discovered or our mission known"

Kylar thought for a few seconds, then did some hand signs "mizu bunshin no jutsu" three other clones made out of water form. He nods to them and they start going in the opposite direction, he feels the other chakras turn and follow his clones. "They won't know they are chasing fakes till they catch them which won't be for 4 hours that should give us a head start," he smiled a bit. "What's the closest village from where we are now, if we get there we can stay the night in that village while getting information."

Megumi looked around then after a minute said "I think there's a fishing village nearby. We could get a boat as well there, use the river for travel for a little bit" she was glad they didn't have to fight already. She wasn't wanting to show her new partner how different she was

Kylar nodded, started running again. They soon got to the fishing village, he paid for both of them to stay the night at an inn. Kylar talked with a local fisherman, about a boat he said he could have one since he was one of the ninja that kept this village safe while they were under attack. He nodded his thanks "has there been anything strange going on?" The fisherman shook his head, "they say it's west of here," Kylar nodded he headed back for the inn.

Megumi had questioned all she ran into while getting into their room, but came up the same thing. She was cleaning her gear and treating them when he came back, looking focused. She said as he walked in "didn't learn much. Only that the trouble is west of here. You come up with anything?"

Kylar shook his head, as he slung his weapons off his back he said. "Same thing got us a boat though," he sat down in a chair taking off his jacket. Then cleaning the rest of his gear, he was thinking of the possibilitys of what was going on. He really couldn't think of anything, so he kept cleaning his gear since he couldn't sleep right now.

She finished and sat back, her gear all back where it belonged. Then she looked at him and asked "just so I understand and can be as helpful as possible, explain to me how your skills work. I know you can see with your other senses, but that's about all I can figure"
