Mhm, I like the idea of perhaps taking a detour on Rodrigo's rise to Pope status, that way we do not significantly change the events of the time period but we are able to mingle in our characters enough to alter and interact with some things. Changing Ascanio's stance on the bribery is a good way of doing this, I applaud your AC knowledge here.

Indeed, sleuthing is the best way to go about things for now, or else the faked deaths would be in vain. Artifact hunting we go then!

It's up! My apologies, I was busy for most of these recent days—but I still managed to get something quite sizeable out today! The beginning might be a little sloppy, I don't know, I wasn't entirely satisfied. It gets better towards the end though!

My main goal with this was giving multiple perspectives. There's the warden, who wants to break free of the Templar influence at all costs, there's Emerico who is ever-cautious and curious, there's Rodrigo who is getting rather upset because of a certain Assassin... Along those lines, I also tried to keep the connection firm but still flowing between the story and our own world. Ezio is out there—his attention is just focused elsewhere for now.

Also, as you can see I gave you freedom to get your characters set up however you wish and detail the last prison scenes as much as you'd like. Though the death-faking was their idea, I thought it was pointless to have four people march to the warden—it wasn't that complicated of a task. Even still, our posts might have to shorten now that we're all together and there will be plenty of interaction. We'll see how it turns out!

For now, we have to decide on the first mission. You can set it up if you wish or you can have another smaller thing happen first if you have something in mind. Up to you!

Oh and, of course...enjoy and tell me what you think of it all!

I loved the post, it was very detailed with the varying perspectives and gave enough of a push for what's to come in order for us to move the story along better now. I thought it was well written :D

I had most of a post written, but I was unsatisfied with how the last bit of it turned out. So, I will rewrite the last half tomorrow during/after work and have my reply up! Considering Rodrigo's warning to Luciano, I will have my post suggest gaining some valuable information from some assassin associates in some covert ways, which can lead us to the discovery of the next piece and effectively save all of their arses from the head Templar's rage :P

After that, we can discuss in more detail how we want the mission(s) ahead to go in relativity to the main story line, as we had discussed taking some different routes and whatnot. I'll have my post up for you as soon as I can!

Alrighty, got it up! It's a wee bit long... detailed the leaving the prison a wee bit much. But, I'm much more happy with this version than I was with the previous draft I had written. I snuck in the last bit to set up the "mission" and lead our characters forward. I do suppose you are right that posts will be far shorter now, due to interaction. That will also mean I should be able to reply faster, though :D Let me know if its all good, and if you have any ideas or suggestions, etc!

There's no such thing as too long when it's good writing! And your post was just that, through and through. I loved Alessandro's idea with the ‘scene’ in the canteen—what he might lack in wits, he makes up for in cunning!

So now that the gang's all set up, we can get to said missions! They'll be...paying a visit to some informants first, it looks like. I'm not planning on making the job too easy for them—while Elena and Alessandro know names (and some locations), the people they're hunting should be pretty good at just not being found. Their whole success depends on that, after all! Especially if, as Elena said, they actually do their jobs well.

Still thinking about the exact details. Feel free to suggest anything!

Post up. It's not my best—it's actually quite short and it doesn't have that much content. Still, I really wanted to get it out as I am leaving for a week-long holiday tomorrow and I wanted to give you some material to work with. I will most likely be able to keep up with OOC should you have anything to discuss, but I won't be able to post in the IC—I don't want to put out something too rushed (this was already an edge case) just for the sake of it. I hope you understand.

As for the post itself, what do you think about the new target? As it was written, they would of course not be able to find him right away, but it would still be the overarching goal for now. Maybe it will never be achieved as more important things arose—that'll be up to us to find out!

As always, enjoy.

Well, best wishes for your trip!

I think the target is an especially interesting one, no doubt! Having our characters pursue La Volpe should provide for plenty of action and side quests on the journey forward. And nonsense about the post not being done so well, I think it is up to par with your standard, especially if you were rushed on it! I'll work on getting my reply in the next couple days.

Again, have fun on your holiday and don't worry about checking back here. You've had a great deal of patience with me so I want you to enjoy your vacation and not worry about checking in, I can surely wait :D

Well it took me a while but I got one up! Sorry about that! Should be back to a normal schedule now :D I hope this is enough for you to work with... I thought bringing in one of La Volpe's close associates would be a good bridge into either pursuing him further or using the informant to seek out other avenues. Let me know what you think! Definitely not my best piece but I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer!

Hey, it's all right. I liked the small clue she caught, I might follow up on it with more details or have something completely different which may or may be relevant so that they'll have to choose.

It might be a little while before I can post though. I need to regain my inspiration for the RP.

Very understandable, take your time. I shall be in waiting until your inspiration is found, or should you find that you wish to end this then I also completely understand.

There! I'm actually quite relieved I managed to put something together, haha. Something that probably doesn't suck, too!

As you can see, Luciano is perhaps not the best of heroes. :P He has no problem going as far as it takes to accomplish whatever he's set out to do: whether that requires him to appear kind and understanding (like with the Assassins' persuasion) or be a merciless murderer, he will do it without any question. I would call it a character flaw, but...in some cases, it can be pretty effective!

The other thing, which is definitely a flaw, is that he's not really used to others lying to him. He'll staunchly believe that what that thief said to him is all correct and, being the ‘leader’, might end up dragging the rest of the squad into it too, potentially leading everyone to a trap. Or not and it's actually Elena who had it wrong! That'll be up to us to decide. :D

Feel free to move forward with the plot as you like, setting up either tonight's or tomorrow night's action, depending on how the team decides. But first thing's first, enjoy!

Ah, very nice post! Gives us some wiggle room to work with whatever group conflict may arise as well as handling the next steps towards investigating the thieves. It would be an assumption of my own that Elena's information is more likely to be correct, since it was overheard information from unsuspecting targets, whereas Luciano's information could have been falsified just to save his own skin and produce a believable story. Perhaps some butting of heads over the murky details may ensue, since each are so strong willed in their ways.

I will have a reply up for you tomorrow!

There ya go! I considered going forward with heading to one of the places, but I thought Luciano may want to consider the conflicting information before making a decision on what to do, so I just left it at that. Let me know if it's all alright!

As promised! Luciano was adamant enough in the end. Now to see what comes of it. :P

It'll be most probably a trap of course, but you can decide what forces will be set in motion when it's sprung. Or you can even have your characters (who could also do anything while the Templar's in, I thought of taking it to the roofs) spring it by attacking a lurking thief. You can even take some control of Emerico (depending on how far your people will be from him) should you need. ^^

I have something in mind for what happens after this, so stay tuned and enjoy!

Awesome! I'll try to have a post up tonight or tomorrow, but no promises as I'm doing some training for a new job here at school. However, it'll be up on Friday no doubt if I can't get to work on it sooner! I'm looking forward to seeing where this story takes our characters :D

There ya go, sorry it was a little late getting up. Had a bit of trouble figuring out the details of how to spring the trap but I think I got it worked out. Let me know what you think!
