It hadn't been long since River and the Doctor had been married. They argued a bit, probably like any married couple really, the Doctor and River couldn't always agree on everything either. Though there was times an intense argument left the doctor upset half of the time. But he would get over it. He loved River so much and was mostly glad for having her around.
He didn't think he would be loved again so he was happy he had River.
"I'm fine, I'm always fine, always alright." He told River one morning before she commented on his pale appearance.

"You sure your alright love? You seem a bit pale." River says cautiously, knowing her Doctor was very sensitive about being sick. She was in her PJ's at the moment and was laying next to the Doctor in bed, reaching over and touching his forehead with the back of her hand, finding it was extremely cool. She covered him up and snuggled close to him under the covers. "If you say your alright, I'll believe you." She said and smiled, kissing his lips with her extremely soft pink ones.

"Of course I'm fine." The Doctor snapped. He wasn't feeling well, but was doing his best to hide it. He knew he was only snappy because he didn't feel good, He though closed his eyes and snuggled up agaisnt her. He though kissed her back. He wasn't in the mood to even get up and fly the TARDIS. Though he enjoyed traveling places today he didn't seem to feel like it at all.
He knew River would pick up on that. He knew he couldn't let it be too noticeable.

"Stop being such a sour puss! I'll drive the TARDIS, go back to sleep." She said and kissed his forehead, getting up and going to the control room. Four hours she spent flying it alone, feeling a bit sad that her Doctor wasn't here to be with her. He should be up by now...... What is going on? She wondered to herself, yawning from lack of sleep but continuing to drive on throughout the night.

The Doctor was looking at her "I'm not been a sour puss," He grumbled. He knew he was only moody due to feeling unwell. He knew at least River knew how to fly the TARDIS. He was looking pale still, curling up in his blankets he went to sleep. He knew River would wish he was by her side flying the TARDIS, but he just wasn't up to it. His breathing was heavy.
When the Doctor awoke he groaned. He had a headache and hoped that he could hide it. Why did he have to go and get sick. The Doctor just hoped that River wouldn't notice, he sat up and attempted to get out of bed and he wobbled.

River was about to head to bed when she saw her doctor teeter like he had been hit by a brick and was still recovering over it. "Love, please, go back to sleep! I'll fly the TARDIS some more, just go back to bed! I'm worrying too much to have you flying this thing!" She said, turning to go back to the control center to fly the TARDIS some more before she passed out in a chair nearby.

The Doctor sighed and goes back to bed. He hated spending so much time in bed,It wasn't fun. He goes back to sleep and curled up in his blankets. He was having bad dreams and he mumbled in his sleep. He always had bad dreams. The Doctor knew he was not well. When he awoke the next morning it was early, he felt dizzy and had a fever. A fever was going to be hard to hide or think of an excuse for. The Doctor was coughing a bit as he lay there. He knew River would only tell him to stay in bed if she knew that he wasn't feeling well.
He shivered more and sighed.

River came back just as he woke up, the not sleeping taking a visible toll on her; her hair had been tossed around while trying to think, she had dark circles around her eyes and she looked a bit pale herself. But when she saw him she rushed over to his side, feeling his forehead and realizing he was burning up. She looked into his eyes, pure rage emanating from her own. "Your sick, you can't lie. I'm taking you to the nearest...... Doctor....... And that's the end...... Of...... That......" River mumbled before she fell down onto the bed next to him, having passed out from pure exhaustion. She wrapped her arms around her doctor, as if she was trying to keep him in bed with her.

The Doctor sighed "River why didn't you get any sleep!!" he snapped. He hoped she hadn't spent so much time worrying about him rather than sleeping. He coughed as shouting had just caused him to cough more. His throat really hurt. He could see she was more worried about his health than looking after herself. He was shivering and he lay curled up in blankets.
"I'm....," he trailed off seeing she had passed out. "Oh River." he sighed and held her close. He knew she needed to sleep. The Doctor was coughing horribly when he woke up, he knew a doctor couldn't look at him ,at least not a human one. Was too risky.

When River woke up she knew he was feeling worse just because she felt him shivering. It had only been 2 hours since then, and she wanted to go back to sleep but knew she couldn't. "Love....... I have to get up and fly the ship now." She cooed to him, coughing a bit herself but trying to get up anyways. But she couldn't, since her doctor was holding her close. "I haver I get up, before this bloody thing crashes into something!" She said louder, starting to cough a bit more. Crap, I must be catching what he has..... I need to stay strong though, for him She thought, trying to get up but he still wouldn't allow her to.

The Doctor coughed and released his arms from around her "Let sexy fly her self...use auto poliot, you sound sick, " he still refused to admit he was sick. Maybe it wasn't wise they had kissed, he also knew that she had skipped out on sleep. Coughing more he moaned. "I'm going to have bath." he fell out of bed and went to go to the bathroom, his body was trembling.
He was annoyed a little that River had gotten so much lack of sleep. The Doctor relaxed in the bath but held his head. " Ugh headache." He was really feeling quite miserable and sick.

When he came out River was flying the ship, coughing up a storm as she was bent over the controls from the force of the cough. She raised her hand and touched her lip, pulling it back to find that there was a sticky substance on it; blood. She turned around to see her doctor, hoping he hadn't seen that display. "I'm fine, don't need to worry about me! I'm perfectly~" River said before she started to cough violently again, breathing heavily after everything had stopped. She sat down, her eyes bloodshot as she looked into her doctors eyes. "I'm fine." She mumbled, standing up again and turning some dials and knobs, and pretending like everything was alright. She needed to, for his sake.

The Doctor walked out after taking a bath, really he just felt terrible, his head was spinning. Surely he had a flu. He hoped that it was nothing worse, but yet pushing it aside like he did,he hadn't checked. All he knew was his stomach was churning. He hoped he could keep his stomach in control long enough. Grumbling when he saw her looking rather miserable. He flicked the TARDIS onto auto poliot.
"Med bay now. No arguing." He snapped at her, He was worried and was coughing badly. He passed her water and rubbed her back hoping to ease her coughing, he had seen her cough up blood.
"Ohhh my head." he cried as he was feeling rather miserable.

"Your going too...... Or else I'm not...... Going!" River said in between terrible coughing fits, blood spattering onto his clean body. River wiped it all onto her sleeve, coughing a bit still but with less force. "You go in first, I'll be fine." She told him, willing to risk her well being, even her life, just so he could live another day. Plus, River wasn't telling him something else, something that started on her wedding night. And if she told the doctor now, he wouldn't go inside first. So she'd wait until he was better, then she'd tell him the news that either he would hate or love her for.

The Doctor coughed weakly. "No... need help, will go but you come with me to help and then I'll check you over if your so determined I go first." He was miserable from his headache and had tears , he stumbles to the med bay. He coughed and stopped suddenly and looked paler and made for the bathroom and threw up, he didn't even have much in his stomach so was crying from pain.
"R...RIver, " he whimpered feebly. "I don't feel well." he said finally admitting it.
He was too miserable to move, he wanted help to the med bay. He hated feeling sick.

River wiped away his tears, a smile on her face even though there was blood dripping down her lips a bit. "I've vowed to hold you, in sickness and in health, didn't I?" She asked, helping him up and taking him to the sick bay. After mixing up a cure for all his problems, River gave it to him and sat on the med bag table. She pulled up her shirt a bit, motioning for the doctor to come over. "Put you ear right here, and tell me if you hear something strange. I swear, I think my heart is pumping at two times the rate it was before." River said knowingly, but kept her excitement to herself as she saw her cure helping her poor doctor already.

The Doctor was so very weak , that he just let take him to the med bay. His body refusing to even fight against her. He was shivering and seemed cold when she set him down, he lets her give him the medicine.
He moves closer and listens to her heartbeat. He seemed a bit confused. "But two heartbeats would mean.. , two hearts. You were born with one I was sure , I am not sure how that can change." He was confused, but he didn't have the energy to think.
Either way he tries to check her over for problems and looks for medicine.

River smiled and laughed, coughing a bit more after starting to laugh harder. "That's because there's something inside of me....... Please, don't be mad, but...... I've been pregnant for about a month now, starting a couple of days after our wedding night....... Surprise!" She said, smiling although she looked extremely worried. Please don't be mad, please don't be mad! She prayed to herself, starting to look more worried than happy when she looked into his eyes.
