I wasn't exactly thinking it needed to be harda
hardcore (for lack of a better term) right off the gate. Yeah though, I have been trying to figure out how to make Karen and Rex. I had thought of maybe them be neighbors, but wasnt really sure if that was good enough of an idea.

Ok. I am actually starting to work on my post now and I had a question. Does rextons family own companies or how do they have their money? I was trying to think Maybe Karen could work for somewhere they owned and maybe that is how she and Renton could meet. As for the other two meeting them I figure that will be down the road a bit maybe. What do u think?

That could work, I mean Rexton was kind of disowned publicly by his family but I'm sure I could figure out a reason for him to show up at one their buildings. And yes they do, his family own and work at a very well known law firm. As for the other two would probably meet them later down the road yeah, at the moment the four don't really have a reason to meet.

Got a few more questions for ya. What is the name of rextons family firm or do u want me to make something up? I have finished Karen's part and am working on Nathan's. I have Karen working there and figure it would be a multi story place with many offices and such since it is such a big town. She works in the fifth floor and does data entry. Also, something I am doing which I wanted to give u a heads up about is that when a nightmare gets loose there is a system that is in place. There are emergency shelters and a pa sytem which lets people know. A siren goes off and then the pa gives instructions and such. Kinda like a tornado warning thing but that is directly linked to the police and martial system they have since this all started. I hope I am making sense with all this. If not then let me know. You will understand more when I get my post up I think. I also have Nathan being a bad boy and using his talents to get paid by blackmail. Thought that would be fun. Haha. I will try and have it posted in a few days once I get finished with Nathan.

What does Damia do for a living? It is relevant to my post. I can leave it kind of vague like I did for now but was just curious. Ok. That is all for now. Going back to writing.

The lawfirm is called Smithson Family and Law. Because thats usually the lame kind of name lawfirms use haha. That sounds good to me, I figure that they have many buildings and multi stories. They are likely the biggest in town.

As it is, I can have Rexton have to pick up some data for his dad or something. Because he does work for them since he has been disowned. He just kind of picks things up when their busy.

I like the siren idea, so question about that. Does the safe rooms and mechanisms keep them safe in their houses as well?

Also, I love that Nathan is a blackmailer. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what Damia's job should be. I know it wouldn't be a good job because they would have a better living if she did. I think maybe a dealer? Or stripper? That would help explain how she started dating Nathan. What do you think? Any better ideas? Also I know that she breaks into houses sometimes and steals things.

If they can afford the mechanisms then yes it would but most people can't so is why they have to emergency stations and such. Most businesses have protection and I had the Law firm have some kickass ones. I figured they would spare no expense. Lol.

As for Damia, either would be good. A stripper would probably be alright but Nathan gets jealous easily so that could cause some tension. A dealer would work too or she could work at a pharmacy and do a little selling of stuff from the supplies on the sky as well as her acquring things from habitats at night. Haha.

I think she wants to go with the stripper, but she likely will sell the things she steals, unless she wants to keep it. Plus I mean we were looking for something that could cause tension so they would find out they're both special. This seems a lot less damaging than one of them cheating on the other.

You know, Nathan's blackmailing could be how they meet the other two.

As for the blackmailing thing that works well with my post too cause I have a plan for them to go outside the wall and cause some mischief and it can be something to do with Rextons family. They can maybe think that by kidnapping or blackmailing him they can get some money. Not sure on the plan details yet but it would work well. Karen could get involved too somehow with maybe helping Rexton? So many ideas and plans. Fun times ahead. *giggles*

And I was kind of thinking that the prices of stuff would be inflated in this world since nightmares are kinda common so 50 grand would be like 20 grand. Nice but not awesome.

Haha. Right. The people outside of the Zone have much better prices and such since it is usually safe. Makes the greedy and criminal lyat after it even more. Is why getting out to it when you live in the Zone is tricky.

Something I thought of was that Damia has the control gene true but her mutation cloaks her from Nathan. That way he has never sensed that she can do that just that she is a dreamer too. Something like than maybe. Or she just might be smarter and know more About it so she has better control and can hide it from him. What u think?

Oh damn. Yeah, that makes sense but rasies the question do they throw criminals into the Zone? Do the people that kill people with their dreams get thrown in if they aren't to young or cant pay for the damage?

Hmm well, I mean she is older than him and I would say the smarter idea would work. But if that were the case she would be able to tell Nathan has it, and we don't want that. So, I think her mutation cloaking her from Nathan would work better, and I would think that if her cloaks her, then it would do the opposite of Nathan's making it where she can't sense it in others. Hmm. The Zone was started as a place for those that can't afford the machines to live and yeah it makes sense that criminals would be sent there. However I am thinking the Zone has sections in it where different groups would live like one part had the criminals and is kind of like a jail area. Another has the poor people that live on the streets. Then another has the residential area where the families that are unable to afford better and maybe were sent there with younger kids that didn't control their stuff or that killed someone are sent or live. It might also be called the Forbidden Zone since the nightmares there are not policed like outside. Damn I am going to have to think on this and see what all I picture. Then I will try and write it out better so that it makes more sense. What do you picture for the Zone?

Hmm that is good question, I like how you put it about the idea of there being different parts. In my mind I see it like, maybe past the wall is like a parts of the city that once ruined by nightmares when the gene first popped up? That way there are some places that could be used to hide from nightmares but wouldn't be as well protected. I also picture that the residential areas would be closer to the wall. So from the wall it would be residential, poor/sick, and then criminal jail area. And the state of the buildings would be worse as you moved farther from the wall.

Get out of my head woman. Lol. That is so how I was picturing it myself. I figured it was where stuff happened when it all went down at the start and you worded it just right. Yay!!!! The prison part I figured only the worst offenders get out there or the ones they catch that can control nightmares and such. It would be guarded by nulls maybe that can't be effected. Damn That would be a fucked up place to be though. Just saying. The residential would be the only ones that could go through the gates too I would think and only tightly supervised. And no one that has been found guilty except for what I am saying in a minute below could ever go back from the Zone. Harsh but relevant.

The kids that are caught breaking the law I figure would be given 3 chances to reform before age 18 guaranteed there are no deaths. If there are deaths then they would be sent to the Zone but if nothing else happened by the time they 18 could be provisionally allowed back outside. Their families would be given the choice to go to the Zone with them until they are 18 or they would be sent to a detention center. Those families would be allowed out of the Zone for work and such. That way if all went well they could get out of the Zone eventually.

I think that is all I got for now but I am still percolating on some stuff. I also need to go back and read what we have discussed before to make sure I am not contradicting anything we have talked about in the past.

Oh wait! Is it going to be against the law to be able to control your nightmares? They lock you up for it? Also what are nulls?

Oh yeah I beat that it would be, especially if they don't all have the machines there. But if they don't I doubt the nightmares would spread past that area. I agree with this about the residential, I would think they would have be going past the wall due to work, or family members on the other side having a health problem.

I also think that the kids law sounds good, I'm assuming that the detention center is protected at least from the nightmares outside? I'm only asking because Rexton would have been put there.
