48th Novgorod State Troopers, the "Survivalists"

History:
Recruited from the ice world of Novgorod, the State Troopers have fought in dozens of campaigns generally in cooler climates. They are at home in the cold and have become one of the go-to regiments in frozen warfare in all of the Imperium, a title that the regiment displays with great pride although their status as a newer regiment means that their fame is still in the shadow of that displayed by the Valhallans and the Vostroyan regiments. The 48th "Survivalists" are a regiment that has become known for its survival skills, some how managing to stay alive in conditions that should normally kill people several times over although their skills are only really suited for ice worlds. Lead by Lord General Novaris Dullahan, the 48th has accepted the glorious task of recapturing Wyndorn II and the titan Ambrosious Regalia for both the Emperor and Novgorod.

The 48th is a surprisingly mobile force, a fact that some do not expect of regiments like them. When on the ground and even in allied lines, the HQ for the regiment comprises of several vehicles and trucks carrying communication and administrative equipment which will set up in one place before moving away else where in a few days time along with the soldiers. Such a tradition has allowed for a significantly higher amount of senior officers surviving in battle as deep striking enemies and artillery cannot be sure on where exactly the leadership is.
Although uncommon amongst Imperial Guard regiments, the 48th State Troopers are actually somewhat close to a combined arms unit, having infantry getting to the front by foot or transport and armored escort as well as artillery support and ariel overwatch.
