Name:
Annabella McClain(her real name is Mirabella McCrady, but she changes it after she leaves town)

Age:
19

Biography:
Mira grew up a normal girl living life under her overly religious mother. All of her life, her mother did almost nothing but criticize her, spit scripture at her, and force her to go into the 'prayer closet' for hours if she did anything her mother thought was wrong or 'sinful'. She was home schooled up until sixth grade when the school board of the district had it ordered she attend public school. The moment she set foot into public school, she was immediately targeted by the popular crowd and constantly put down by everyone in the school. She was shy and awkward, not leaving much room for her to make friends. But, there was one friend. Danny. Danny was unpopular like herself and the two just seemed to click. The two stuck together like glue and never left each other's sides when they were at school. Though her mother always ordered her to come straight home from school she would sometimes come home late and face the consequences or even risk sneaking out at night just to go hang out with him. They went on through the years like this. He was everything to her, the only thing she looked forward to in her sad life.

When she turned 16, something horrible happened to her. Her period. Her unstable mother had never told her about a period, nor had she ever even learned what one was. Her only thoughts she could possibly go to was that something was terribly wrong and that she was bleeding to death in the shower of the girl's locker room at school. In her mad scramble to find someone to help her, the other girls in the locker room did nothing but call her a freak and chant at her to 'plug it up' while cruelly throwing tampons and pads at her, even video taping the incident as she laid on the floor crying and begging for someone to help her. With the video uploaded to the internet and spreading all over school, Mira's life became all the more miserable. She skipped most of her classes, spending her time hidden away in the library, sometimes alone, sometimes joined by Danny who would comfort her and cheer her up. Time passed, and some forgot the incident, while others continued to bash on her for it. She eventually got the courage, thanks to Danny, to go back to her classes. It wasn't too long after the incident though, that Mira noticed a huge change in her life.

Strange things had started happening to her. A light bulb bursting here and there. Objects suddenly being knocked over even though she never laid a finger on them. It wasn't until the mirror in the girls bathroom she had been looking into shattered that she realized what was going on. She had powers. Amazing powers. She could move and control objects. It was in this realization that Mira felt....special. Unique. Like she had finally accomplished something. She worked and worked at her powers, slowly learning to control them and make them stronger. And it remained a secret. She didn't want anyone to know. Especially her mother. Her mother was already so close to the edge, she knew if the woman ever found out, she might do something horrible to her.

Another school year passed, and soon approached senior prom. She of course, hadn't been asked, but thankfully neither had Danny. So, it would be only natural that the two decide to just go together. She worked in secret, locked away up her room while her mother was at work, sewing her own dress. And finally, when the faithful day came, she told her mother she was going to the prom. Her mother of course disagreed and told her it wasn't right, and that going to such an affair and wearing something so unmodest as the dress she had made was a great sin. Her mother then tried to force her into the prayer closet, but this time, Mira was not going to comply. She wanted to go to prom, to have this one night. In a rash move, she used her powers on her mother, lifting her in the air and putting her in the closet, and locking it, as well as scorching the lock into place to keep her from breaking out. With the promise she would let the woman out after the prom was over, Mira got ready. She fixed her own hair, did her own makeup, put on her dress. She looked like a new person.

That night, Danny picked her up and the two went to the prom, enjoying everything and having a good time. It was during a slow dance though that things thickened for her. With she and Danny being so close together, it wasn't hard to guess something might happen between them, and it did. He kissed her. And in just that kiss, two of the lights in the prom burst. Everyone chalked it up to bad electrical issues, but she knew if the two of them were to continue their little romance, they would have to go somewhere more secluded. So, she took him down the hall of the school and the two of them snuck into one of the classrooms, where Anna finally told him of her powers. He was surprisingly accepting of it, and even said he suspected something of that sort, having seen certain clues that lead to that. He told her it didn't matter and he loved her with or without the powers. In hearing he say such a thing, the emotional Mira kissed him again and everything just seemed perfect. For once in her miserable life, she was happy.

The two went back to the prom, over joyed with their new found romance together. They sat down with all the other students as the people who put the prom together went up on the stage to announce who had won prom king and queen, only to be all together shocked and confused.

She and Danny had won.

The new dazed couple walked up to the stage, accepting their crowns and in their last moment of happiness, shared a kiss on the stage together. But, the moment after their lips touched, they were showered from above by none other then a bucket of blood, the horrible video of her terrified moment in the ladies locker room playing over head on the projectors as the crowd laughed and chanted just as the girls in that locker room had all that time ago. This upset her, and as she started crying, Danny grabbed her arm to lead her off stage to get her away from all the horrible people. Yet, she he started leadig her away, the hard metal bucket from above broke off its rope, falling and hitting Danny on the head. The room fell silent as Danny fell to the ground and Mira frantically knelt beside him, trying to wake him up. Only his eyes stared blankly up at her, clouded over. The moment she came to the conclusion Danny was dead, something inside of the girl snapped. The lights over head exploded, showering everyone in glass and things in the room bean flying. She mentally locked the doors, and no one escaped her. There would be no survivors that night. Each person died how she saw fit. They all deserved it for her years of torture. For taking away the only thing that had ever mattered to her.

When the deed was done, and the gym was littered with the dead bodies of her peers, she left. She wasn't sure what time the police arrived, or even when someone discovered the massacre, but no one would ever know it was her. She had made sure of that. She hadn't physically touched a single person, nor had she left a single trace had had even been there that evening. She ran home from there and upon entering her house, discovered something frightful. Her mother had broken out of the closet. The woods had literally been ripped apart from it.

She went around the house, searching for her mother, and unable to find her, went into the bathroom to wash the blood from off of her. She became frantic and hysterical at the sight of all blood, both animal(from the bucket of blood) and of the humans she had killed and quickly washed it off of her, crying and screaming the whole time. When she was free of the blood, Mira left the bathroom, in a fresh change of clothes and in walking out, found her mother standing there. In search for comfort from her mother, she ran up, hugging her. Her mother for once seemed relatively calm and offered that the two of them kneel and pray. The distraught girl agreed, kneeling with her mother hugging her. Only her mother didn't want to pray. Her mother stabbed her in the back with a knife. There was a struggle between the two, her mother yelling at her, calling her a sinner and a witch, and in a last attempt to save her life, Mira summoned with her powers any sharp objects she could think of that layed about the house. A dozen knives and scissors came up from their spots that had been laying and impaled her mother, pinning her to the wall. Even more hysterical and frightened now that she had not only killed her classmates, but now her own mother, she did the only thing she could do. She packed up anything she could find and stealing her mother's car keys and any money and credit cards she could find, set the house a flame and left, never coming back.

A few towns over, Anna rented a car and disposed of her mother's car in a near by lake, driving even further south in the rental, going hours before she found the perfect town. Small, quiet, a great place for her to start over. She figured some things out and using what money she had left paid for an apartment for a few months while she figured things out. She got herself a job. Figured out how to forge her own documents such as a new birth certificate, school documents, and anything else she needed. She was no longer Mirabella McCrady. No, now she was Annabella McClain. Once everything was settled, and she had a new her, she applied and was accepted in the local college, moved into the dorms and is now ready to start her new life, hopefully hiding from her past forever.

Appearance:
Not the best image with the watermark on it, but this is basically what I picture her looking like.

Other:
As crazy as it may seem, she has a few mementos from her past, locked away in a secret place in her dorm. The mementos include Danny's glasses(which she had took from his face when checking his head wound at the prom and had kept in her hand during the attack, as well as carried home with her), the still bloodied prom queen crown, a cross necklace her mother had worn, and the cell phone of one of her peers(the one who took the video of her in the locker room. the video is still on the phone).

Biography
Growing up in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Jay Gabel had always been something of a well-shaved mountain man. He spent his days fishing on the lake, hiking in the forest, and hunting in the mountains with his father. As an experienced policeman who believed in the importance of self-defense, John Gabel taught his son how to use weaponry at a young age. He was skilled with a bow at age ten, a crossbow at age thirteen, and a gun at age sixteen under his father’s tutelage. It had been a proud accomplishment for both of them.

Overall, Jay’s childhood had been adventurous, but also uneventful. His family got along well, Jay and his brother, Jacob, were both homeschooled. They hardly ever travelled, and Jay had never left the United States except for a few visits to Southern Canada, which was only a few hours north of his hometown. It was a simple life, but it was a good life, and that was all the Gabels cared about.

When the news came, none of them were prepared.

During an annual checkup, Jay’s mother’s doctor noticed a strange lump on her breast. Upon further testing, it was discovered that she had accelerated cancer. It had progressed so rapidly that her chance of recovering was almost zero percent, and she didn’t have much time left. The whole family was devastated, but none were more so than Jay’s father. Despite being married for almost thirty years, the two were still as in love as they had been on their wedding day. John couldn’t imagine being separated from his wife, so he spiraled into depression, drinking the days away to cope with the pain.

When Jay was 19 years old, just six months after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, she passed away. John’s drinking grew worse, to the point where Jacob, who was still in high school, had to move in with their grandparents. Jay was just entering his freshman year of college. The upheaval of his life from Coeur d’Alene to the college dormitory, the loss of his mother, his father’s alcoholism, and the separation from his brother made for a difficult transition. But Jay had grown up to be a hardy man. After spending summer break in grieving, he forced himself to buck up and move on with his life. He refused to sit idly by and miss opportunities. This was when he got his third tattoo—a shark on his ribcage—as a symbol of proactively attacking his future.

Because of this decision, Jay’s first year of university was the most eventful year of his life. He joined the cross country team and a number of different clubs to keep himself busy. He also chose to major in criminology, hoping to get a job in the police force when he would eventually graduate. He kept up an active social life as well, joining a volunteer-oriented fraternity, going to parties on weekends, and making friends everywhere he went.

The only tough part about college was the dating scene. Jay learned quickly that most of it was shallow bullshit when he had his first college girlfriend. She had been a girl from a sorority that was close to his frat. They hit it off at a volunteer event—cleaning trash up around the town—and he worked up the courage to ask her out. Unfortunately, she wasn’t looking for the type of long term relationship he was hoping for. She strung him along for free dinners and rides until he realized he was being led on. Naturally, he broke things off with the girl right away, but the pain of the situation remained a scar afterwards.

Jay tried dating twice more since the incident, but unluckily for him, the same thing continued to happen. One other girl accepted his proposal for a relationship and used him for money, and the other just kept him on the hook as a backup plan while she pursued another man in his fraternity. It was discouraging to say the least. So, during his sophomore year of college, he swore off dating. Instead of going to parties on weekends, he went to a local shooting range to practice with his weaponry. He spent his weekdays focusing on his schoolwork and his distance running for the cross country team. It was a different experience, but it wasn’t a bad one.

Now, going into his third year of college, Jay has no plans. He began to miss the wildness and spontaneity of his first year towards the end of his second, so he decided to just see where life will take him as a junior. No more avoiding girls, no more avoiding frat parties. He would let himself be immersed in college life once again.

And he would be damned if it isn’t a good experience this time.
