Liam woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. He moved his sheets to the side, pushed himself to his feet, and checked his phone. It was 8:00 AM. That was when Orange decided to pop up. Liam's hair and eyes switched orange briefly.

"Is it Monday already? Ah, I hate Mondays. Then again, I don't like any days of the week."

Liam quickly shook his head and banged his hand against it a few times.

"Shut up, Orange. I don't need you right now. And don't do that again."

Liam then went out to his kitchen to make some breakfast, he wasn't really that hungry so he just decided to have a simple bowl of cereal. After that, he finally decided that was going to leave he changed into more appropriate clothing. He stepped out, locked the door and made his way to the elevator. Oh, right, Liam lived in a Hotel. Starlight Hotel, one of the more popular ones throughout Ring City. Making his way to the front entrance, passing and greeting some fellow hotel occupants, he exited the hotel and stood out at the front entrance. He looked around and began wandering through the streets of Ring City.

Miteossa had already been hard at work for hours now, not constricted by a human sleep cycle. Her massive blade arms chipping away at the dense rocks that filled the Ring city mine. Two sets for digging and one set for collecting. Miteossa had worked in the mines for many years now, having started their as a child. It wasn't that uncommon for lesser beings like her to be employed in such roles, the world wasn't kind to some people. But Mite knew this, she'd had to accept it a long time ago, but deep down she did long for something more.

She'd found a sort of balance here in the mines, yes the work was hard and the wages were unfair, but down here in the mines. She was somebody. The other miners were all people in situations just like her, if not worse ones, and she was able to find solace in the fact that she could exist here without having to worry about discrimination. This fact also saddened her, if it took people who were so low to see Miteossa as a person, would she ever be able to belong somewhere that didn't make her body ache?

She hauled her last load for the day as the sunlight started to leak into view. This was her regular finish time she'd start at midnight and work through the morning, she did this to avoid crowds of miners. She may not have to face much discrimination down here, but some of the people who were stationed there were criminals, not to mention that she was awful with people, so banter between miners was something she tended to avoid. Having clocked out for the day she dragged her aching body back to her room, she was feeling a little adventurous today so she started making a cocoon so she could change into her centipede form. After the metamorphosis was done she slipped out of her room and headed for the lower levels of the city, she wasn't going to be finding any star quality hotels or anything, but she needed a break from the mine.

Maybe today she'd be able to get a flesh donor and could finally start to build up DNA towards a human like form. Maybe today is the day! She thought to herself, a hopeful smile creeping it's way onto her insectoid face.

Liam walked through the streets of Ring City, passing by buildings and people. He eventually stopped walking as he took out his phone and called a number. The person on the other end answered and began speaking.

"What do you want now, Liam? I'm kinda busy here."

"I just need to know when you're arriving. You've been gone for a while."

"I'll be there in 5 minutes tops. Now, leave me alone when I've got shit to do!"

And with that, the call was ended. Man, sisters are annoying sometimes. Liam put away his phone and scoped the area looking for something to do. Not finding anything, he continued walking. He wasn't exactly paying attention as he was too busy day dreaming.

He stumbled upon one of the supermarkets located throughout Ring City. He decided to have a browse and see if he needed anything so he stepped inside and started browsing through the isles.
