After a side effect causes the powerful Chaos Emeralds to malfunction, a group of anthropomorphic animals from another planet dimension are accidentally teleported to Earth, while attempting to stop their enemy Doctor Eggman. Sonic and Sonya, the fastest individuals in existence, have been in a repeated scuffle with Doctor Eggman for many, many years, having to fight over control of the Chaos Emeralds, and neither side seems to ever find any reconciliation in their constant feud. Their desire to find them becomes even more challenging, as more and more familiar enemies show up, and decide to seek out and claim the five Emeralds for themselves. The adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog continues in this brand new chapter of action and thrills, as they become the celebrities we know and love.
