Ayane watched in anticipation as Ren entered the back of the ambulance. Thankfully, nothing had jumped out at them. However, what they found inside was disturbing. Ayane was originally relieved to see that there was someone else inside - someone who was living in the back of this ambulance. Kiyoko had called Ren to go outside due to the discovery of what seems to be fresh blood - fresh blood? Doesn't that mean they're close by? - before diving in herself. Ayane rolled her eyes. Because of course Kiyoko would do something like that. The girl's selflessness knew no bounds. She held her tongue as she surveyed the area around them, cautiously trying to pick up any signs of any other living being.

The diary that Kiyoko came out with was certainly... something. Whoever the author was wasn't right in the head anymore. The Land of Shadows, something about a barricade, something about there being no way out through the parking garage... and something about hearing the screams of people and not coming to help. So this was dangerous territory after all. There's something within this space that could cause such terror. He deemed this place a safe zone... but a safe zone from what exactly? Knowing that going any further would be fruitless, they closed it up.

"Amisaki has a point. Let's put the diary back. We wouldn't want to look like we're stealing anything from someone as unstable as that." If they reacted like that to screams of pain, Ayane wouldn't put it past the author to behave aggressively to anyone encroaching upon his territory. Which meant they had to go. Fast. The author had a cut so there was either something attacked him or they had accidentally injured themselves. Whatever the reason was, it meant they were still around and still posed a threat to them. As such, Amisaki's behavior was understandable. Sliding her own phone into her pocket to extinguish it somewhat, she moved closer to Kiyoko for a moment and leaned in to whisper, "Don't do anything reckless. Please." Patting her friend's shoulder once, Ayane stood back.

"Let's move carefully and quietly. Keep an eye out for the author... or anything else that lurks around here." She muttered to the group. While on the outside she seemed calm, her nerves were very much on edge. The reality of the situation had dawned upon her once more - that this place was dangerous and it was deadly. Even if the man was just going crazy, they were still in a land that wasn't their own. Or whatever the fuck that meant. But as long as they stuck together, they could work together to get through this.
