The university was founded in 1805 by High Wizard Sir Gregor O'Cain, a leading scientist in his field at the time who had also been blessed with the magical mutation of alchemy. Safe to say, he could turn something as simple as a pen into pure gold. Sadly, our dear Sir Gregor O'Cain is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on, and by his creation, contribution, and visionary dream, the university is still functioning, growing, and thriving till this very day."

Enchanted Sol University is a highly guarded educational and growth facility magically hidden on a remote island (referred to as Evergrove Island for its thick surrounding forest) off the coast of Edinburgh, Scotland. Only access to and from the university is through our specialized train system that utilizes your key-card as authorization. This applies to both students living at home and those living on campus. Highly trained sorcerer guards are stationed at both ends of the train for your safety. You will be allotted a maximum of four key-cards for each semester. Lose all four key-cards, and you will be penalized. The bridge and the school are completely hidden from humans unless they are granted access by the ES University Headmaster or ES University board members. Very few humans know of the existence of Magicfolk. We'd like to keep it that way, for your safety."

The Four Houses

The Dragon House The Whale House The Squid House The Horse House
"All new and currently enrolled students of Enchanted Sol University are pre-ordained and prioritized into one of the four different university houses. The Dragons, The Whales, The Squids, and The Horses are the houses respectively. Each student’s specified house will be registered to their key-cards upon distribution. Additionally, a Queue Device will be distributed to each student for university and mission usage. A change to someone’s house is prohibited unless authorized by official board members or the headmaster (due to extreme circumstances). Your house members are like your family away from home and they will be pivotal to your overall growth in cooperation, teamwork, and communication.

Classifications

A Magicfolk is the general term that ALL magical individuals refer to their race as, regardless of class status or educational achievements.
A Mage is the title given to any student currently attending Enchanted Sol University or any other magicfolk university.
A Sorcerer is a title given to Enchanted Sol University alumni and graduates or any magicfolk who has graduated a magicfolk university.
A Professor is the title of the university professors. Most professors hold the title of Sorcerer as well.
A High Wizard is the title of the current Enchanted Sol University headmaster/headmistress or the headmaster/headmistress of any other magicfolk university.
An Orion is an Enchanted Sol University exclusive title. These students are considered the big dogs on campus. Through an extensive showcase of their magical prowess and skill, they are given this title by the High Wizard, who chooses 1 mage from each house to act as the leader and representative of their house.
All other titles are a sub-classification that represents a magicfolk's magical specialization, such as Healer, Summoner, Elementalist, Oracle, etc. Anyone can hold one of these titles and they are vast and numerous.
An Arcanist is a scholar of all things magical. They constantly seek out new forms of magic to discover how they work and share their knowledge with many elite magicfolk and schools. Arcanist tend to specialize in Memory magic to help them retain vast amounts of information.
A Master Alchemist is a sorcerer who has mastered the ins and outs of all things alchemy.
A Cleric is a sorcerer who has mastered the healing and restoration magics the world can offer.
A Seer is a sorcerer who has mastered the magic from beyond the planes and can glean into the future. There are only a handful of these specialized sorcerers in the world.
A Necromancer is a dark sorcerer that raises the dead and uses them to their own benefit. They may also be able to manipulate the living with their deadly magic. This kind of magical specialization is strictly forbidden and against Magicfolk law and is not taught at any authorized Magicfolk universities. Any practitioners of this type of magic are doing it illegally.
