Calimport - also known as the City of Slaves and the City of Glory. Resting upon the southern shores of the desert this sprawling megapolis is a hive of both commerce and wonder, with a history richer than the elite pashas lounging in the comfort of their estates wielding their privilege and power like a scepter. In Calimport everything has a price - goods, exotics, loyalty, even flesh. It is not a place for the feint of heart or dull of wit as one’s folly could see them dead or in chains at the slave market. If not worse.
Cheating, blackmail, and usurpation is part of daily life among the wealthy as much as the shadowy underworld of Calimport. Each pasha looks to better his stature in society, increasing his power and wealth with little regard other than to himself.
One such man is Jakeem Kalil, a merchant and member of the Guild Arcane in Calimport. Dissatisfied with his mediocre position in life, unheard or mocked by his superiors, he has long searched for a way to ascend to the greatness he deserves. That he may surpass his rivals and allies alike. And now after years of searching and scheming he believes he has found his token to real power. Something that will bend the knee of even the Syl-pasha, ruler of Calimshan.
You are a traveler come to Calimport. Are you seeking wealth, adventure, a game of intrigue, or merely starting anew? Regardless of your reasons for coming to the City of Slaves, you have caught word of a nobleman seeking to hire able travelers for an expedition. The danger is high but the pay well it was said. Despite any possible personal confliction you ultimately set out for the nobleman’s estate, to meet this pasha named Jakeem Kalil.

GAMEPLAY AND GUIDELINES
• General guild rules and expectations apply.
• Discord availability will be mandatory and part of this RP.
• While not tabletop, this RP is set in the current edition timeline. (5E, Current Year 1495 DR)
• Players begin with a single character. An additional character may be created later. Players will have a maximum of two characters allowed.
• Players are expected to notify OP of any extensive absence so that we may work something feasible out. If players wish to drop out I consider it a courtesy to let me know.
• Responses are typically expected within a five to seven day range.
• Godmodding, flaming, metagaming, bullying, and general harassment and poor conduct will not be tolerated.
• Typical post length expectation will range from three to four paragraphs - five to eight sentences - although I do realize that certain circumstances will mandate less content than others. That said, one liners and low effort posts will not be acceptable.
• Graphic violence is permitted though I would prefer we not go full Michael Bay, please.
• Character intimacy/relationships are permitted but any sexual content must fade to black. NSFW content and graphic sexual descriptions will not be tolerated.
