I'm looking for a long term partner or possibly even two who are well versed in Warhammer 40k lore, and maybe even make this into an original free to read novel depending on how well it goes.

The general plot of this roleplay is that a long forgotten underground facility the size of a city located out in the ash Wastes has come back online, and a new Abhuman faction called the Avvim steps out onto the surface for the first time. The Avvim's backstory is that they were an independent super soldier project created in an attempt to replace the Men of Iron when Necromunda was first settled, but the facility was abandoned when the Technobility of the Araneus Continuity took over the planet, and the Avvim were placed into stasis before they could be field tested. Now they're on the surface of Necromunda, and have no idea what's out there, but very quickly learn to keep a low profile so the Imperium doesn't come down on their heads. What follows is all kinds of wacky shenanigans as they launch operations to get their hands on new technologies, and try to figure out a way to get off the planet, and go somewhere where the Imperium can't find them.

The Avvim themselves are humans who've been genetically overhauled to be both much better fighters, and able to survive in harsh environments far more easily than normal humans. It would take too long to list all the improvements that were made, but the most important ones are that the Avvim are two to three times more physically capable than a baseline human in all regards, live up to two hundred years, can regenerate lost limbs, heal twice as fast, can clot gaping wounds in just a few minutes, absorb information four times more quickly while growing up, and are all minor psychic blanks because witches were very much a thing at that time. The technology they have access to is roughly on par with the Imperium, though they lack all the more exotic stuff that's out there, but make up for it by understanding how the technology they do have actually works, and they've got a matter printing device that uses power field technology to turn rocks into whatever materials they need.

So yeah, this would be a great way to introduce a newcomer to the setting if it ever is made into a proper story, and introduces a new lore friends faction as well.

Two things.

1) I think you should drop the blank aspect. There are a couple of reasons, but the lore one would be that research into blanks simply wouldn’t have developed enough for a successful or stable attempt at gene modification before the project was shut down. Genetically modification to create blanks is necron level tech.

2) What is the balance of the Avvim? Because if you look at abhuman species in setting, while they are better than baseline humanity at certain things, it comes at the cost of something else. Ogryn and Golith are both big, strong and tough, but at the cost of being less dexterous and intelligent. The more you tailor a species towards something, the less able it is somewhere else.

A little bit.

But truthfully, rather then just reject it outright... I'm happy to sit down and try to make it work. Yes it might require some alterations, but the end result can be a better story.

Yeah I kinda scrapped this idea shortly after I came up with it, and started over completely from scratch. The end result was a Rimworld Crossover, more specifically the Rich Explorer Start, where a wealthy big game hunter from a high tech Glitterworld somehow winds up on Necromunda in the 41st millennium rather than the lawless Outer Rim planet he intended. Of course, he's not defenceless, and came prepared with a few months of food, some weapons, and several pieces of technology that will absolutely get him killed if anyone found out about them. He also did some training, and installed several gene mods before heading off. So he's also a lot more dangerous than a normal human, but not immune to bullets, and currently doesn't have any answers to psychic powers.

Its basically an ilsekai anime but in Warhammer 40k.

What gene mods did he have?

The character I've come up with is called Zain Vandran, and I've ultimately settled with making him one of the countless custom Xenohuman races I've created over the years. I also had a bunch of mods installed when I made this race, but I didn't use any of the stupidly overpowered game breaking stuff, and made a relatively simple, and street legal, according to the game anyways, warrior/survivor faction called the Gittite.

The list of genes goes as follows: Tough Skin, Crushing Strength, Grudgy, Tactless, Long Living, Innate Bloodlust, Deadly Raid Presence, Strong Stomach, Strong immunity, Fast Wound Healing, Superclotting, Fast Growing, Genetic Stability, Cold Tolerant, Heat Tolerant, Tox Resistance, Aggressive, Agile Fighter, Unruly, Robust, Early Maturity, Multiple Offspring, High Libido, Fertile, Straight, Dominant Genes, Pale Skin, Abrasive, Dark Vision, and Super Endurance. Powerful, but far from invincible, and with some noteworthy drawbacks.

As for this characters starting supplies, I'm going to go with mostly standard stuff one would expect, along with a few unique additions like a man portable military grade supercomputer filled with whatever knowledge could be downloaded from public servers, a high tech nanotech recycler, and a really advanced man portable 3D printer.

Edit: Yeah, I'm starting to think I should have this guy start on a feudal world or something similar since I want him to get off at some point.

Edit 2: I'm back from work, and I've properly thought out Zain Vandran's profile, the origins of the Gittite, and his equipment load out.

Zain Vandran is a Gittite born, and raised on the high tech Glitterworld of Ashod. He is six, and a half feet tall, 187 years old, looks a lot like Van pelt from Jumanji 1995, but is in the prime of his life thanks to Ashods rejuvenation technology, and looks more jacked than Rambo. He wears a suit of tan coloured flak armour with a pith helmet, and a dark red cape. He was originally the host of his own very successful hunting show that can only be described as a deranged cross between The Crocodile Hunter and FPS Russia. Unfortunately his show was cancelled after its 12th season, and he was left with a vast amount of wealth, but not much to do with it. That was until he decided to do what numerous groups of Gittite had done before him, and travel to distant worlds on the Rim to relive the glory days of back when Ashod was just another lawless wasteland filled with monsters to fight. But he wasn't stupid about it, and took various training courses on wasteland survival, and might have slightly abused the skilltrainer technology to ensure the lessons stuck. He also purchased all of the necessary supplies he'd need, and got himself an utterly epic refurbished orbit to surface drop pod that would act as his base of operations once he landed.

The Gittite themselves were super soldiers created specifically to thrive in the harsh radiation blasted wastelands of Ashod, and eliminate the various warring factions to pave the way for the worlds recolonization, and development into something resembling civilization. Despite the colonial expedition forces just barely managing to keep the Gittite under control, they wiped out all of the other factions without much trouble, allowing Ashod to be resettled, and eventually made into a Glitterworld. Unfortunately the Gittite were still around in large numbers, and found themselves discontent with the whole 'world peace' thing, not to mention the complete lack of monsters to kill. Many grew fed up with the way things were, and wound up travelling to lawless worlds on the Rim in search of purpose, usually becoming famed adventurers as a result.

The drop pod Zain is using is actually an updated version of the orbit-to-surface military bases his ancestors used when they first landed on Ashod. This 110 meter tall craft has 3D fabricators, defensive turrets, a miniature water treatment facility, crew quarters, cargo bays, storage tanks, a high end supercomputer, a nanotech recycler, and all of the other essentials Zain would need to start his own country. Its almost like a suped up version of the MCV from Command and Conquer.

Yes. I was just about to post a reply saying that the other guy was clearly busy with other stuff, and that I was still looking for an RP partner. I was also in the process of typing out a properly thought out starting scenario for my Rimworld character that would have a somewhat natural progression like in the game. I'll post everything once I've gotten some rest.

Alright, my potential partner is clearly dealing with his own problems so I'm now looking for one or two potential partners once more. I've also properly thought out how this RP is going to start, and a proper system of progression.

Here is my characters backstory.

Zain Vandran is a Gittite born, and raised on the high tech Glitterworld of Ashod. He stands roughly nine feet tall, looks a bit like Kris from Deltarune, and is more jacked than Rambo. But he wasn't stupid about it, and took a few decades worth of various training courses on wasteland survival, and might have slightly abused the skill-trainer technology to ensure the lessons stuck. He also purchased all of the necessary supplies he'd need, and got himself an utterly epic refurbished orbit to surface drop pod that would act as his base of operations once he landed. Its a lot like an MCV from Command and Conquer now that I think about it.

The journey goes well except for the simple fact that Zaine has now woken up on the wrong planet, which in this case is one of the few habitable areas of the Ash Wastes of Necromunda. The original plan of starting his own country is still a go, and he gets to work on that. The Ash Waste Nomads quickly become a constant, and impossible to get rid of problem. Thankfully Zaine has turrets to deal with them, and he starts exploring his surroundings. After numerous encounters with various Underhive factions, and a few other things he can't fully explain, he soon starts wondering just where or even when he is.

The Gittite themselves are Xenohuman super soldiers created specifically to thrive in the harsh radiation blasted wastelands of Ashod, and crush the various warring factions to pave the way for the worlds recolonization, and development into something resembling civilization. Despite the colonial expedition forces just barely managing to keep the Gittite under control, they took out all of the other factions without too much trouble allowing Ashod to be colonized, and eventually made into a Glitterworld. Unfortunately the Gittite were still around in large numbers, and found themselves discontent with the whole 'world peace' thing, not to mention the complete lack of monsters to kill. Many grew fed up with the way things were, and travelled to lawless worlds on the Rim in search of purpose, usually becoming famed warlords as a result.

Here is a list of the Gittite's genetic traits. Yes I used a bunch of mods, but the game says this race is street legal so I'm going with it.

Jotun Frame, Tough Skin, Crushing Strength, Grudgy, Tactless, Long Living. Otherworldly, Innate Bloodlust, Deadly Raid Presence, Strong Stomach, Super Immunity, Suerclotting, Fast Wound Healing, Fast Growing, Genetic Stability, Psychically Deaf, Unhappy, Cold Tolerant, Heat tolerant, Psychically Deaf, Tox Resistance, Aggressive, Rowdy, Agile Fighter, Unruly, Robust, Early Maturity, Multiple Offspring, Short Pregnancy, High Libido, Fertile, Straight, Dominant Genes, Attractive, Red Eyes, Standard Body, Pale Skin, Red Eyes, Abrasive, Dark Vision, and Super Endurance.

Edit: Final version of the Gittite Xenotype has been upgraded to Jotun Frame, and added Psychically Deaf trait. Very physically large, and powerful. But also can't produce psykers, and are hard to control.

= Jasper Coldwell Creek =

The ashey wastey dust flows long, wind rustling over the dunes,
The wind whips into rivulets which then converge into rivers, which themselves converge into oceans.
The wind rips through the air with the sound of a tearing manifold.
The peak of the keel of a ship is visible.

The Extended sleep gas trickled out of the oxygen mask inside the cryo pod. An emergency rune flicked up on the cryo display, purging the pod of its frosty contents. The pod casing creaked open with the sound of a rusty screen door. The body of the pilot slumped outwards onto the deck floor and immediately was awake on his hands and knees. A huge inrush of air and Jasper feels his lungs inflate and coughs out a cloud of hazy ice crystals into the half illuminated dusk of the cargo hold of the ship. Where in Emperos name am i... he was dizzy and his eyes bloodshot from the decompression of cold to heat.

Unsteadily he reached his left boot forwards under his hip and then his right. There was a clank in the compartment. Thats familiar. This must be my ship... my Valkyrie... thats right...
Stumbling over to the pilots chair he snatched at the maps... thats the last time i leave this thing on auto pilot. He glanced over at the autopilot panel, which had taken the impact badly and several wires were poking out of the casing. Good riddance.
He unfurled the map and laid it out straight on the pilots control panel. Where in the dusk am i? I was supposed to be landing at the space port in the Ultramar sector. He then felt the hair prick up on the back of his neck. Spinning around he raised one hand and prepped one of his wyrd powers. Instead his eyes met with the sorry sight of the skeleton of the other pilot. Poor blighter.
He stepped forward and lifted the dog tag chain around its neck. What was your name... "Manford", well, he tisked, i wonder how well you can be after a few years as a skelleton. The light was half lit from the cockpit glass showing a streaming mass of sand that tickled at the crystal.
My Clan paid good money to deliver me here, instead you took me to... he tapped the cockpit gps with his elbow and a feed of navigational coordinates fed out. To throne knows where... Shame... Still, no reason not to put you to good use. He went to his hip and pulled out the biopsy syringe. Anywhere juicy left on you bud? He stabbed the syringe injector into the femur and extracted a few centilitres of bone marrow.
Then he went over to the cryo-vat. Good thing this doubles as a cloning vat... with a few modifications. He took out his omni-tool.
After questing for an entrenching tool, from the hold and putting Manford to rest in a ditch outside the ship a ways away. Rest in peice... or until we meet again.
He wrapped around his waste his set of gunbelts. Two heavily customised laspistols hung freely in their holsters, which he tied around the thighs. Time to take stock of the essentials.
Trudging back to the open slide-hatch the new Manford was busy forming. First a nascent lump of cells, soon a whole femor, then tissues, then stomach.

Jasper then wondered over to the pokecenter. Not many planets had ever seen a pokemon, but on the planet he came from they were widespread. Clicking on the center display, an original his Clan had built. The 3 pokeballs were ejected into a hopper, he removed them and attached them to the belt loops via magna-clamp. Hope they'd been all-right. But then he sight in relief and remembered they were in suspended animation.

Moving back into the ship, he noticed there were 2 galaxy pattern lasguns in a stockade. Aswell as cases of 24 las packs. More than hed ever need. He immidiatly rigged 3 of the las packs into a krak grenade. Using mud-tape to tie them together and wiring them up with some of the loose cabling from the auto navigator. He brushed the dust off of his flight suit. In a case next to the pokecenter he found his equipment. A set of magnoculars, and a imperium standard jump pack aswell as his trusty sawed-off. Flipping open the sawed-off he checked that it was still loaded with two rounds of inferno-bolts. The bolts were identical to the type found in his home town. He hoped the sawed-off was compatible with this planets bolter ammunition. But with any luck, it was imperial standardised. He attached the sawed-off to the front of his mesh-vest via a quickdraw holster that traced from left to right.

He wondered over to the two chairs of the navigator and pilot, tapped a few of the switches into the upward position. +++RADIATION NOMINAL+++ echoed back the machine spirit. Now if only he could get the engines to come back on line. The fuel was still at 60%. Then he could limp his ship into space port. He pulled out the omni-tool, Allright old friend, time to get to work.

= Jasper Coldwell Creek =

Inventory:
x1 Flight Suit
x1 Twin-liked Custom-job Laspistols,
x1 Best Quality mesh vest & kneepads,
x1 Trusty Sawed-off shotgun, (x2 inferno bolts)
x1 Rigged-up Krak grenades,
x1 Aquila pattern jump pack,
x2 Galaxy pattern las,
x1 Master Crafted Omni-tool

Wyrd powers:
"Pyrophoric"
Empower a shot with the blaze trait, whether it is small or large the entire area is engulfed with warpspawned flames that cannot be put out until the user snaps their fingers. This has a veriety of uses, but most notably requires 5 seconds focus to empower, the actual danger of flame that cannot be extinguished is only known to antiquity.

"Telekelemetry"
The user has the ability to commune with the machine spirit of various common imperial designed machines. Wether it be the size of a bike or a titan the user has greater control over the direction and power of its motive forces. Wether it be its weapon systems or the servos governing its movement, the user is akin to a magician to the tech priest of Mars and this has led Jaspers Clan to fame, earning them the designated cog of mars. A medallion that he pinned to the exterior of his mesh vest. This cog allows him to practice wyrd powers though does not absolve him of the scrutiny of the magos. This ability requires constant concentration.

Pokemon:
Ball 1 - ???
Ball 2 - ???
Ball 3 - ???

Skills:
"Magician"
Creek is a magician, a magic man and a mystic. A trained magician Jasper has more up his sleeve than a deck of cards, though he is easily as likely to win a high stakes game at the gamblers table as he is to reach fame on the tele-screen. Able to step between the shadows and virtually disappear any time he isnt being locked at, this was the Creek Clans foremost fame until their wyrd powers were discovered by the mechanicus catapulting them to fame and fortune. Equally able to debug the foul datasprites of the titanicus and hive fusion generators they have found their affinity for technology invaluable to anyone wishing to wage war. So much so that the mechanicus has awarded their Clan with a blank check... now if only mechanicus were to have a wider presence on Necromunda...

"Pilot"
Being a skilled pilot is as easy to Jasper as flight is to a bird-type. However navigation had to be studied to become perfected. Tutored by only the finest Savants the Admech could find the young 23 year old Jasper was tutored not just in stellar navigation but in ground navigation. This comes in especially usefull in the ash wastes where not only the valkyrie but also the jump pack see regular use to traverse such long distances as the equator. Yet to be roped into Zains conquest ambitions Jasper seeks to make a quick throne by working as a pilot.

Yeah I don't know anything about Pokemon. Well I actually do. I just don't know the names or abilities of the 9000+ pokemon in the series or any of the million power stones, healing items, mega evolutions and everything else in that series. Maybe just have Jasper Coldwell Creek be an unsanctioned Psyker who is themed after a Pokemon Trainer? That way introducing him to the plot can be very easy by simply having him be the sole survivor of an Ash Waste Nomad raid on Zaine's base, and that's only because Zaine wants information.

My original suggestion sill stands. Zaine is going to need someone from around the local neighbourhood to explain to him how the power structure of the hive cities works, the nature of the various gangs, where all the secret passages into the Underhive are, and what sorts of threats to watch out for. Plus he can fill the role of the duos caster which is the one thing Zaine can't do.
