Stuck in a Dating Sim...again? (Interest Check)

Okay, so the main characters know that they are in a dating sim. But what about other characters? Will they be able to "break the 4th wall" or are they, in the end, just a complicated A.I incapable of thinking and acting beyond their role?

Also, regarding time-is it going to be linear, or is it going to be more of a time loop? Will "loading the game" and going back be possible?

Nope, the dating sim's characters have no clue they're part of the dating sim. I'mma keep it closer to the old guild's original's style, less of a videogame RP, and more of a stuck in an alternate universe-ish RP.

That being said, time will most definately be linear.

I'll say I'm certanly interested. This could turn into a wonderful RP, granted that the main Hero and the Heroine lead the story well!

As for the plot setting my preference would be anything along the lines of supernatural, fantasy, school life, adventu- Actually, you know what? I'll just say that very sci-fi settings (a lot of machines, aliens, space travel...) might make me think twice. I generally love them, but I consider others to be a bit more suitable for romance-based plotlines.
So all in all, for the plot I would say: "Surprise us!" ...but I'm not the only one speaking so I'll just label myself indifferent here.

I'd love to join this, I also feel quite flexible over who I'd like to play ^^

Well, I said I'm indifferent about it, but my suggestion would be to go with something school-set. Most Dating Sims are stereotypically aimed towards highschoolers and thus most are set in that eniorment. At least from what I know, or at least most people imagine them to be.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a more unusual setting, but there is a slight chance that it might even result in less participants.

I personally love dating sims in a fantasy, mystery or modern setting. I think a dating sim is a lot more interesting if it has a really intriguing plot along with character interactions, because some of them out there are lacking an interesting plot, and those tend to fall flat for me.

That being said, wouldn't it be plausible to mix genres and/or dating sim games? Because a male dating sim and a female dating sim are completely different (Or I think they are, I've only really played the ones made for girls) so it would make sense for me if there was some sort of merge. One of my favorite dating sim creator has a tendency to cross over universes, like they have some sort of connection between characters of a different dating sim and I always love the little references that get thrown in.

Specific Weirdness A

Vertigo Sovereign (fantasy/supernatural/comedy): the protagonist is the keeper of balance, the one who makes sure the underlying forces of human existence stay in the balance…or else. Keeping the balance can be as simple as adding an extra sugar cube into your morning coffee, and as difficult as sorting out the Luck Brigade’s leader’s love life. Observe your subordinate’s work, step in when necessary, and maybe find love in your workplace?
Example…
Time spent in the human plane is usually spent seeing how well the forces of human existence are maintained. If poorly maintained, reality is slightly distorted. In extreme cases, humans may come out of a building jumping suicide attempt completely unharmed, or fish begin to swim through the ground like water…
Quest: After talking to the secretary, you find out that the leader of the Luck Brigade has been slacking off ever since his break up with his long time girlfriend, a member of the Karma Squad.
Quest: Help the Muses to transmit creative energy to a struggling artist.

-main somehow comes to work at a maid/butler café
-main goes to a magic school, with love interests such as teachers, non-humans and human fellow students, shape shifting summoned familiars, embodiments of certain elemental magic, etc.
-main has only one year left to live, so they spend time meeting the other people in the hospital, see who’ll they’d like to give their healthier organs to…
-main wakes up from a coma…with amnesia. After finding out that they were a doctor at this very hospital, then finding out that they weren’t the nicest person, exactly (mistreating patients, stealing credit for other doctor’s works)…they decide to make amends, and be a good doctor…even if all the patients and doctors HATE THEM.
-main was a great sorcerer/sorceress who was previously turned to stone and frozen in time for a century due to a rival’s curse…but somehow, was finally set free. Of course, the world has changed. All the land is cursed, and by a variety of curses at that! After meeting out with a rag tag group of adventurers, all with curses from their own different regions, the main goes to find the solution
