Many generations ago a strange virus began to spread. It started in a run down town when an unlucky homeless man ate rotten pig's meat. The virus caused the man to become very ill, so I'll in fact that he died. The man live on the outskirts of the small town and he died in his makeshift home, nobody found the body. Several days after he passed his body rose again and he began to wonder the city looking for food once more. He was not, however, looking for the normal food that a normal person would want. He was searching for human flesh. He found what he was looking for in a small child that was playing in the street. The child managed to escape but not before suffering a bite on her arm. She was bed ridden for a day or two before she got up as if nothing happened. Though her case was much the same as the man's though the process was much shorter.
And thus the virus began to spread faster than anyone could process what was happening. The virus spread from city to city, providence to providence, country to country before many realized what was happening. Those smart ones that did understand created shelters that managed to keep the infected out. They built small villages and surrounded them with chain link fence and as ineffective as it seemed it somehow worked. Great care was spent on the fences, making sure they were always intact. The villages made a network of fences to connect them to the others to continue to do business.
A couple generations past and everything seemed fine. As long as the citizens stayed away from the fence and only the Guardians went near them to make sure everything was fine, the infected, or Unconsecrated as they had become known as, went about doing whatever they did. However one of the fences was breached and the villages shut the gates to the pathway to prevent the infected from getting in. None of the villages had any contact since then.
Present day and many people do not remember how the outbreak started or that other villages even exist. Each village is convinced that the others have been wiped out. Some villages don't even remember where the paths that are closed off even lead to.
You will be living in the village of Palenus. A village that has safe houses in the trees in case of a breach and consistently hold drills to ensure that everyone knows what to do in case one does happen. The village is governed by a group of unmarried women who call themselves the Sisterhood. Any women who is unmarried by their twenty-first birthday is forced to live in the Sisterhood's care. The Sisterhood is the only group that truly knows everything about the last of the villages. And as comfortable as the life with the Sisterhood sounds it is not a good thing.
Your character be it male, female, young, old, black, or white married, unmarried, will be a citizen of this village and go about your daily lives. The village is old timey so there is no modern technology even though the plot is set in the future. Lanterns are used for light, feet are used for travel (the village is small, you could walk across it in maybe an hour tops. Though there is open area for farming).

8) inactivity without reasoning for a week will give you a warning and a time span of three days to come to me as to why or your character will be terminated (the first time). Second offense will give you a three day time span to give a reasoning or your character will be terminated. A third offense will get your character terminated instantly.
