The year is 1530. Japan is at war with itself. For two-hundred years, the ruling Ashikaga shogunate has sheparded Japan, but the current shogun, Yoshiharu is weak. Now the leaders of Japans great families, the Daimyo, now sense an oportunity. Like vultures over a carcass, they prepare their samurai retainers in a bid to increase their own power.

The great clans, the Oda, the Takeda, the Chosokabe and others lead great armies of Samurai into battle. Many are hardened veterans and masters of their art. Others are young but eager for a chance to prove themselves. Others are loyal only to no one. These Ronin are masterless and are constantly on the road. Some look for a cause to fight for, but many are thieves and bandits.

The warrior monks of the Ikko Ikki fight for the common people, and for the Heavenly Buddha. They, like many of the people they fight for, have suffered abuses and insults at the hands of the Samurai.

Then there are those who live and fight in the shadows. The Ninjas of the Iga and Koga clans sell their services for a price. Despite their mercenary behavior, they are not afraid to secure their own interests by any means nessecary.

Only one clan can be triumphant. Who will be Shogun?
So this will be an Feudal Japan RPG, with the players taking on the roles of Samurai, Monks, Ninjas, or whatever your mind comes up with (within reason).

Speaking of Rules
1. Be polite.
2. If you can't post, let us know
3. No god modding
4. Try to be original. I like Last Samurai too, but you can't play Tom Cruise.

Other than that, have fun.

Here is an example character sheet.
