[IC] Collision Point: Steam, Magic and Blood

[Voltus_Ventus]

Voltus limped heavily along side his daughter, relaying on her for some support. In these few moments he realized he was leaning to heavily and started to try and stand on his own, turning his limp into dragging his leg behind him.
"while I was gone Fren sent a lot of assassins," he said through grit teeth "let's just say that 500C steam and eyes don't mix well." he carried onto the door in silence and pushed through into the warmth of the room, he rested his hand on her shoulder, "can you take me to Yuri?" he said, listening to loud cello drifting through the hall way.

[Totts]

"Yes, he's in here, are you blind permenantly?" She asked as she helped guide him to Yuri, through the warm house, it smelled of burning firewood, as they reached where Yuri was sitting she saw the flames crackling and slowly eating away at the wood. "Voltus has been hurt" she said to Yuri, hoping he could offer some kind of remedy to his injuries,

[Voltus_Ventus]

"Most likely." replied voltus with a sigh as he let Karina guide him through the house. Soom they started to slow down and eventually stopped at a room that gelt a touch warmer then the hallway and the smell of burning would was more prominent in it and the sound of a string instrument was more defined it.

Yuri snapped around at the mention of voltus and was shocked at what he saw, a beaten, bruised man, covered in blood.
"Voltus!" he cried out as he rushed towards him, his limp seeming to not slow him down, "what happen?!" he held voltus by the shoulders and lay him down on a couch, "how you do this to self?" he asked incredulously, "little karina, you do this?"

[Totts]

"N-no, it was Garland, he was sent to kidnap me and Voltus arrived just in time" She said quickly. "We need to clean out the wound!" She added. She fell back onto a especially comfy chair. "He's blinded as well, and it might or might not be permenant." She said as she sank into the chair. She was scared for Voltus, scared for he might be blind forever. The room was awfully warm and she began to feel drowsy.

[Voltus_Ventus]

"I see," said yuri, as he came closer to voltus' face to inspect him, feeling his pulse and checking his breath, "you very lucky volty," he said critically, inspecting the large mans wound, "you lost much blood, maybe 2 litre.", Yuri hobbled over to a small cabinet in the corner if the room and opened it's doors, from it he pulled a bottle of vodka, a rag and a sewing kit, he returned to voltus and held the bottle to his lips, "drink fool, for pain.", voltus wrapped his lips around the bottle and gulped down what must have been half the bottle at a remarkable speed, "alcoholic." said yuri light heartedly as he applied some of the stiff drink to the rag and wiped the wound, "bloody alcoholic."

Karina felt her eyelids getting heavier, but she tried to resist sleep, she wanted to stay awake to see if Voltus got better. She went to plait her hair, but there was nothing there to grab, this made her feel slightly sad, but she remained focused on Voltus, he was all that mattered right now, but she knew if he recovered, he would be a bit drunk, but Karina didn't mind, she just wanted him safe.

[Voltus_Ventus]

The moment the needle touched his skin the alcohol kicked in, strange vision and sounds filled his head dredging up supersede memories. Gunshots and screams and the sounds of scared galloping horses, echoed through his consciousness, then he snapped. He threw yuri off of him and scrambled off the chair he was laying in. Voltus ran out of the music room into the winding walkways of the chateau, constantly bumping into walls and corners as he tried to trace his way through the mental map he was following. Soon he came to a door and put his hand on the handle, it was covered in dust from disuse. He pushed the door open and tumbled down a set of steps to a lower floor, he then scrambled to his feet and crammed himself into the corner clutching his knees, his heart pounding and his breathing erratic.

Karina sprung into action and chased after Voltus, not regarding her own safety. She sprinted down the staris after him, into a dark room, it was dusty and made her cough a lot, but she could hear Voltus breathing erratically. She felt her heart quicken as she saw Voltus in that state. "V-V-Voltus, are you okay" She asked, keeping a safe distance from him, there was no telling what he would do in this unpredictable state.

[Voltus_Ventus]

The haunting sounds continued to full voltus' ears then a voice cut through it like a knife.
"V-V-Voltus, are you ok?" her soft voice stuttered, his head snapped towards the direction of the speech, he pulled his knees closer to his body and just kept looking in the general direction of karina, his breath ragged and wheezing.
"the light can't find me here." was all he said as he turned his head away and lay down in the fetal position.

[Totts]

"W-what do you mean by the light?" She questioned, Voltus was getting scary now. She began to back away slowly, hoping Yuri would come soon. She wanted to stay with Voltus, but at the same time she was scared, so she remained frozen in place, petrified. The room suddenly felt quite cold, as if something heating it had just left it. Voltus' breathing was very erratic now, and she was worrying he might get violent.

[Voltus_Ventus]

"Karina," he whispered trying to hold back sobs, "shoot me.", he slipped his hand into his coat and gripped a small revolver, he slid it across the floor to her and heard it stop on something, he continued to act the way he was frantic, almost wild with a deep sense of fright, some memories are locked down in the depths of people's minds because they shouldn't come out, something let his ones come out.

[Totts]

Karina ran to Voltus and sat down beside him. "As if I could shoot you" she sobbed into his arm. "Come on, we need to get you better, you're not thinking straight" She said, attempting to drag him up, but he was too heavy to lift. "Voltus come on! We need to go upstairs" She said hurridley, she didn't like being in the dark, and she was sure that Voltus didn't either.

[Voltus_Ventus]

"shoot me!" he cried out fumbling for the gun, he found it and picked it up, pushing it into karina's hands he sobbed, "why won't you let me die?!", he started to pound his fist on the hard stone floor repeatedly crying out his desire to be shot. He screamed in pain when a crack echoed around the room, he had broken his hand, "please," he whispered, pulling himself closer to her and making making her pres the barrel against his chest, "do it."

[Totts]

"Yuri! Get down here now!" She shouted, and after contemplating what to do she got her hand and planted a smack across Voltus "Stop acting like you're a baby! You're a grown man!" She shouted at him. She was prepared for anything Voltus would throw back at her, she wasn't scared. "Voltus! You're already blind and have broken your hand! If you act like a baby things are going to get worse!" She was getting angry at Voltus now, he didn't seem to listen to whatever she told him.

[Voltus_Ventus]

"Karina," he sighed, raising his hand to his cheek and wincing, she'd cut him with her nails, "I'm tired, my whole life all I've seen is death, I don't want this world anymore." he stood off the ground shakily and steadied himself. He slipped his trench coat off and then his other layers of clothing to show his torso, crisscrossed with hundreds upon hundreds of scars. "you know what these are?" he asked in futility, raising his arms to show them better.

[Totts]

"If you die, I'll have no-one, and don't you dare say I'd have Yuri, I hate him, Voltus, you have me to live for." She said, a tear rising in her eye, she knew what the scars were and what they were from. She picked up the gun and handed it to Voltus. "If you want to kill yourself, you have to kill me first." She said, before bowing down before him, this was a risky move, but it might pay off.

[Voltus_Ventus]

He stared at her in abject horror, 'how could she?' he whispered in his mind.
"little girl hate me?" Yuri said brokenheartedly from the top of the stairs, looking down on her, his eyes magnified through his thick specticals, "I thinked I good uncle.", he sighed as he turned around and limped away back towards the music room, too shattered to think about the pain in his leg.

Voltus slipped the gun back into it's holster, "before we go shooting eachother you better explain to me why you said that." he said sturnly down at her.

[Totts]

"Because I knew it would shock you into a sense of reality, as if I really wanted to die! You however were being selfish and wanted to leave me." She explained. Although she was much shorter than Voltus, she had her moments when she was a lot braver. "Can we now go back upstairs and get out of this damn dusty room?!" She said impatiently

[Voltus_Ventus]

Voltus just stared at her direction in silence then turned and went up the stairs trailing his hand on the rail ti his side, pulling his clothes back on as he climbed up. When he reached the top of the stairs he turned around and ushered for her to come up. He sat at the top of the stairs and waited for her to get up.

Karina sprinted up the stairs and sat next to Voltus. "I'm sorry I acted that way"
