Jason left the building and just walked. Straight back towards the Erudite sector. I'm leaving finally, I got the highest score for dauntless. I'm going to dauntless! a wave of relief passed through him, quickly followed by a wave of terror. I'm a divergent. My own family will be trying to kill me no matter where I go. Jason sat bored wearing his best Erudite blue at the ceremony. His mother next to him constantly reminding him of the fact that soon he will join her in being a full member of erudite. He just ignored her and waited. Soon. 'Jason Matthews' His name rang out. The boy stood up and walked towards the center, where the stage was sloped up to the pillars holding the bowls. In front of them sat the knife, Jason knew what to do. His fingers closed around the cold metal of the blade. He picked it up and made a small enough incision to draw blood with the cool steel. He raised his hand over the bowl with the coals in it and squeezed, letting the blood fall into the bowl. He picked up a bandage and turned. A soft gasp echoed. The first faction transfer, and it was Jeaninne Matthews' son. His mother looked like somebody had run her through with a spear, then the Dauntless erupted in cheers. Jason smiled as he was given a seat in the front row to watch the rest of the ceremony. Knowing all eyes were on him, especially those of somebody close to him, he desperatly searched the Amity group to find Willow's gaze
