Before the shutdown of the old Guild I had this little idea growing into the seeds of existence, but I never got it off the ground.

Basically, if you have ever seen Classic Doctor Who before (Doctor's 1-7) - then you will be familiar with the format of serials, a singular Doctor Who story comprised of 1 - 14 episodes. This allows for introductions of serial characters, characters that are only involved with one particular serial - and the extended length of time compared to New Who episodes allows for more character development and scenes. There are on average about 4-8 serials for series.

Companions also are about, that are commonly introduced as serial characters but are then taken on from 3 serials to even several series if they have room for development or are popular (for example Jamie McCrimmon, Sarah Jane Smith and Ace.)

And then there is the Doctor, whom, when he would be killed or die, can regenerate into a new body with a new personality, or in our case from one roleplayer to another. One incarnation sticks around for 2 - 7 series.

So, my idea is to roleplay our own version of the tale, starting with a First Doctor and then progressing through roleplayers playing serial characters and companions and the Doctor. For convenience sake the first place the Doctor needs to land after escaping from Gallifrey is 1960's England so we can have a police box as the (not yet named) TARDIS. And we could either hold a serial or part of one there while the Chameleon Circuit breaks, (as the First Doctor and Susan did while she attended school - later for the rest of the serial heading back to caveman times.)

Because it was my idea, I would reserve the spot of the First Doctor for myself, but that leaves spaces open for 1-3 companions initially, or some being introduced a few serials later.

Also, I need serial characters for the beginning serial, the number being arranged based on the story.

I might be interested. I haven't seen a lot of the classic Who, but I know some of the stories.

I'd be interested in this, but as a non-human though.
