Personality: Duran is loud and cheerfull on the first view, he seems to be the living cliche of an dwarf unless you do give a closer look and just don´t put him in the same pouch like every other dwarf. Duran is very cunning and far sighted, it does sometimes seem that he acts out of sheer greed and pure emotions but cold hearted as he is he already went through many options and possibilities which could occur. Acting and traveling with him is not very tricky or dangerous as long as you think he´s your ordinary dwarf otherwise it could happen that you would wake up with dagger pressed on your throat and a smiling face pressed into yours asking very politely for all your habbits or your life.
When you would get on his friendly side it might even be that he would reveal his true self to you which then does not mean that he would not rip you off or backstab you when he has the chance to, he then just do not want hard feelings since that the thing he does and so you should be aware of it before hand.
History: Less is known about Duran and if you would ask a dwarf about him, strange looks would be your answer with the question if Duran was even a dwarfish name, if mentioning the name "Goldenfeuer" there are two options how another dwarf would react, either knocking you out or telling you a story. The story which you would hear would be simple and tragic. It´s the story of a noble dwarfish family of the merchant caste, it would be one of the richest and one with a lot of influence inside the dwarfish society. A long time ago the caste tried to step up to the king, seemingly accusing him to have stolen the throne with demon´s help and so not worthy of being called a king. The whole clan of Goldenfeuer started a revolt, gathering miners, warriors and all kinds of dwarfs to rise against the king. This revolt was ended quickly as every member of this family was found slaughtered but the youngest son.
Soon he also went missing, his name being lost in rumors and time.

- a reinforced golden breast plate, a nearly forgotten artifact of the Goldenfeuer~ The shimmer is calling forth greed~
- a long, heavy leather mantle, covering Duran from shoulder to feet. It contains silver ornaments to even increase the weight of the mantle, making it usefull in combat to trap swords but gives little to no protection but a shoulder plate on his left.
- A arm-guard on his left made out of a silver steel alloy, making it hard and worthy.
-A complex small crossbow device on his right arm, it can loud up to five bolts in a row which can be fired rather quickly and they even have a slightly greater force than a normal crossbow. This device is clearly made by dwarfs but who would create such a thing? Firearms are rather uncommon for dwarfs and when used they are big and mostly explode.
-A small dwarf-axe more commonly used for throwing but still most effective in close combat.
- Several throwing knives made by dwarfs and their alloys, really sharp and heavy. Which dwarf would make those? Knives....for throwing?
-Heavy leather boots.
-Heavy leather trousers.
-Google´s with heat resistance and darkened glasses, good for projecting eyes against the harsh sun rays (hey dwarfs life underground)
-Bag-pack filled with lots of materials and items. It includes a rare book about magic, some minor dwarf weapons like a short sword, an axe and a mining bomb. A box full of cigars, an expensive bottle of elvish wine and lots and lots of dwarfish beer.
-A small pouch filled with coins on his leather trousers.

History: Altin grew up Liaryn as a homeless pickpocket. He spent much of his teenage years squatting in shacks and shanty rundown buildings. He found a dagger on a corpse along with a sword that was cast out by the city guard. He self taught himself to train with sword and dagger, and one day when being chased by a dwarven merchant in the market place, he was cornered by the guard. After the scuffle, two guards laid sliced open and the dwarf without a hand. That's when he first met his mentor, Monterro D'Eltorn. "What if I could show you how to make your person drag like there are multiples of you? It will make you harder to hit, and trick your foes." Altin immediately agreed to being trained. He spent many years with Monterro, training and grinding, learning swordplay and illusion-magic. "You have a natural gift, Altin. One day, you will be even better than I. Few know how to use the Shadow magic, and fewer still can master it as you have thus far. You still have very far to go, its a process that will take decades before a significant mastery will come to you."

One night, Monterro and Altin were approached by a man in solid silver armor. "Monterro! I hear you have been teaching this urchin how to use Shadow magic! You know this is forbidden by the laws." stated the paladin. "I am teaching him how to survive this cruel hard world Marselez. YOU of all of us can relate to that! He was misunderstood with no family and no where to go, so I gave him a place. We both know what its like to have no families!" Monterro countered.
In a sudden flash both men drew steel, and the fight lasted a good 15 minutes. Monterro seemed to be Marselez's superior in combat. He did not shadowfight Marsalez and Altin thought it must have been out of respect for the paladin. "Click," a sound came from the rooftop and suddenly a bolt protruded from Monterro's chest. "NO!!!" a simultaneous shout came from Marselez and Altin. Marsalez whipped his head around and spotted the culprit. "I told you NOT to interfere unless I said so!" "Aye boss, but he was getting the best of you." exclaimed the stubby dwarf. "You fool, I will have your head!" Marselez responded. "Run!" Marselez shouted to Altin, after turning his blade to the dwarf.
Run is what Altin did, and was still doing for many years. Never knowing any kind of contempt. Until one day staring into a stream he saw himself, now 26 years old. "What am I doing?" Altin asked his reflection. "I know exactly what you are doing." a giant owl responded. "And before you ask, I am Tid, and the answer is running, you are hiding from your problems instead of facing them. But from today on you will not. Also, don't ask me how I know that, it is very annoying. I am here to tell you that I know the answer to all things. Starting today, you will seek these answers for your own truths." Then the giant owl simply flew away. "Wait! I have....." "I know questions." The beating of the wings blocked out anymore words that came from the owl. "He thought I was annoying!" Altin thought to himself.
So from that day on, Altin has been searching looking for his masters killers. He remembers that dwarf's face all too well and long with Marsalez's.

I wonder~ how is magic casted? By tomes? Spells? Hand signs ? Or can it simply be used by thinking of it?
Then also what would happen if someone is unsure about the spell or can not concentrate? Would the spell crumble? Or would it work flawlessly?

@Gravislayer - Magic is cast by thought, though it can be channelled through artefacts (or in most wizards' case, a staff). If the wielder loses focus, or is unsure of how to cast a spell. it usually backfires. Sometimes it just doesn't work. It's different from spell to spell, depends on the element in question. (The more volatile elements react more violently. Fire, for instance, would most likely set the caster ablaze)

Esailia had never felt she fit in with her own people. She was a grounded personality, couldn't fit in no matter how much she tried, and wasn't content with just wandering the village. She spent most of her time hunting alone, enjoying the solitude of nature and the thrill of the Hunt. This caused some trouble in her family when she was brought to Mori. Most of the elves that knew her believed that she would never be granted the right to wield magic. But Mori gave her an extensive list of trials and tests...no one knows what the answer was, since Esailia won't speak of the experience. Most say she didn't meet Mori's expectations.
What led her to leave her home village was a conflict with her parents. They were pressing her to tell them the God's answer. Finally, Esailia grew sick of it and yelled at them "I'm not like you! I cannot stay here!". With that, she grabbed her few belongings and left, many eyes following her.
She lurked the outer areas of the forest, a free spirit without a place to call her own. She was content with her life, but that nagging feeling, the one that warned her of danger, was warning her that things were about to change.

Skilled in tracking, hunting, and campfire cooking. effient at using her weapons, agile, able to enchant her arrows with natural properties, such as poison. She uses her magic to grow vines from seeds, using them like whips or ropes. She has the ability to grow other plants, but they don't last long without being tended to. Nor can she grow huge flora. (The magic description is an exploratory idea. Subject to compromise or change)
Disadvantages: melee attacks are somewhat weak, wears light armor.
