[IC] A Sacrifice Gone Awry [Jett Ryu & SnowAngel]

[Miraboreasu]

Makan cocked his head. "You miss your family. I should have just cut you free after dealing with that old lizard."

[SnowAngel]

"What do you mean? I can still go back to my family right? You aren't just going to keep me here are you?" She backed up towards the intrance of the cave.

[Miraboreasu]

"Aren't humqns superstitious? Will they not see you as a witch if I take you back?"

[SnowAngel]

"I-I don't know... they probably would see me like that..." She looks at the ground tears welling up in her eyes.

[Miraboreasu]

"Then it is in your best interest to stay away from your village," said Makan. "However you may leave whenever you like."

[SnowAngel]

Arya looked up at him crying and hesitated for a moment, but then ran out of the cave. She kept running not knowing were her feet were taking her. The blondine shrieked when lightning lighted up the sky. Rain poured down from the sky, onto her. Her white dress that she had to wear as the sacrifice was drenched but she kept running. But this time she wasn't running away from her troubles, but from the lighting and thunder. She always had been scared of it. Arya covered her ears trying to keep the thunder away and continued to run, the thunder struck the tree at her left side and it fell down in front of her stopping her in her track. The tree started to burn. The maiden backed up, stumbled and fell down in the mud crying even harder now eventhough the rain made it hard to see the difference.

[Miraboreasu]

Makan smelled her fear and followed. When she fell he covered her with a wing. "This is all my fault," he said. He curled his tail protectively around Arya.

[SnowAngel]

"Makan..;" she whimpered in fear as she clung on to him seeking his protection from the storm. She didn't care if he was a dragon or not at the moment she just wanted someone to protect her.

[Miraboreasu]

"You'd be safe now if I just killed that old dragon and left you," Makan said. He laid down, still covering Arya. The rain drummed on his wing membrane. "I'm an idiot."

[SnowAngel]

Arya jumped when lighting hit an other tree nearby. she clung even tighter onto Makan. "Makan.. get me out of here.." She cried.

[Miraboreasu]

Makan lifted the girl up by the back of her collar, as if she were a hatchling. At the cave he set her down. "Shh," he whispered. "It will be alright." The dragon curled around Arya, surrounding her with warmth, the heat emanating from his scales.

[SnowAngel]

Arya curled up against Makan and closed her eyes enjoying the heat. Her tears were drying up and she felt comfortable, knowing that she wasn't alone. After a while she peacefully fell asleep.

[Miraboreasu]

Makan sighed. So what now? He had someone to play music and sing to him. But at what cost? He nuzzled Arya to make sure she was comfortable, and soon fell asleep.

[SnowAngel]

Arya woke up to the birds singing. She nuzzled closer into her pillow... hard pillow. She slowly opened one eye and saw orange scales in front of her and had to held her breath to not scream. She was sleeping against a dragon. What had happend? The memories of yesterday started coming back little by little. Wait this is Makan... So its okay, right? She felt the dragon moving (waking up) and she quickly shot her eyes shut again, pretending to be asleep.

[Miraboreasu]

Makan didn't move further, afraid to wake Arya. He still hadn't figured out what to do now. So he gently managed to get out from under the girl, went outside, and came back with a small branch of sakura.

[SnowAngel]

Arya felt Makan slowly move from around her and heard him walk away. She felt a bit chilly now that her blanket walked away. the girl opened her eyes slowly and yawned seeing Makan coming back inside with a brach of sakura. Arya rubbed her eyes and then looked at him again. Did he just bring her flowers?

[Miraboreasu]

"I read in books that it is customary to greet human women with flowers," said Makan. He cocked his head to the side. "Or was I misinformed?"

[SnowAngel]

She took the flowers looking a bit stunned. "Wel you are right they do give woman flowers. But I didn't expect to get them from you." She smiled a little. 'How did you know they are my favourite flowers?" ((No kidding they are my favourite :o ^^ ))

[Miraboreasu]

Makan sighed. "Really, I didn't know. They grow wild around my home." He moved away from the cave entrance, allowing Arya access to leave.

((Did not know. I just love sakura.))

[SnowAngel]

"Thanks." She smiled at him and kept sitting down on the floor she looked at the flowers and layed them on her lap. "You know I don't really have anywhere to go... Maybe I'll stay here for a while... If that's okay with you of course." She said quickly.
