So I have this Idea of some scientist getting ahold of Goku and Vegita's DNA and splicing it in with human infants to make a breed of half human half saiyan warriors....anyone wanna join?

Wouldn't it make more sense to combine/clone them somehow? Who wants an army of half-greatest-warriors-in-the-universe when you can have an army of purebloods?

Because its been proven and admitted that Half-Saiyans are at a genuinely higher power level than pure blooded Saiyans. Goku himself has admitted that Gohan could probably beat him in a fight.

From what I know about the universe, Gohan was an exception. Most hybrids are equal in strength or weaker.

Trunks was shown to be stronger than Vegita and in a way stronger than Goku seeing as he took out Frieza and King Cold by himself in a matter of minutes but I usually attribute that to being from the future. Then Goten and Trunks both showed the ability to become Super Saiyan at a very young age and after a week had mastered not only the fusion dance but had reached a level of mastery over their Super Saiyan powers that they could achieve Super Saiyan 3.

One interesting theory I've heard is that the power of the child is actually relative to the power level of the parent at the time of conception.

Ergo, the power level of Goku's sperm is over 9000.
