Jacob let out a sigh, "Ellie I know I can't ensure that but I'm just trying to look on the bright side. That's what keeps me going is thinking that I can get through this war and win it, I keep thinking that only to not give in to them in just trying my best alright! That's all I'm trying to do I need to go for a walk get some fresh air." He left the room after pulling on a shirt.

Elliot looked at him when he stood and left the room. She nodded, hugging herself slightly. It had been awhile since her and Jacob got in a fight. Not that this was too much of a fight. She sighed and looked around the empty room. Needing to take her mind off things, she changed, leaving Jacob's shirt in the room, and headed down to the medical bay. There was also something for her to there.

Jacob went to the gym, he saw a few of the soldiers doing hand to hand combat practice. He would join in, he and another soldier went to the ring to practice, he dodged the first few fists before he started countering them and then went on offence he finally knocked out his sparring partner out of the ring.

Elliot sat with one of the injured soldiers and was changing his dressings. She smiled at him, he'd gotten shot in the stomach and was in a bit of pain. She remembered it well, but she had had Jacob with her, someone to talk to and ease the pain. She looked at the man when she finished, "It sucks doesn't it?"

The man looked at her surprised, she hadn't spoken a word since she sat down. He laughed a little and nodded, "That doesn't begin to explain..."

Elliot sat with the man for sometime, just talking.

Jacob let out a breath, he was soaked in sweat from other soldiers trying to take him down from the ring. After about a few hours he ran his hand through his hair, and jumped out of the ring. He walked back to their room, changing his shirt, and putting his pistol back on the dresser then sitting down on the bed. Before laying down with his arm over his eyes.

Elliot left the man to sleep and did some inventory on medical supplies. When she finished with it, she brought it down to a few of the soldiers to let them go over it and see what it was that they could get their hands on. She then when and grabbed something to eat before finally heading back to her room. When she got there, Jacob was already there, lying on the bed. She smiled at him and took off her coat hanging it in the closet, "Why hello there."

She grinned and walked over to him bending over the bed to kiss him. She laughed a little, "God, you need another shower."

Jacob let out a small chuckle, "wow after a few hours of not seeing me that's what you say when you first see me I'm hurt." He said with fake hurt in his voice, as he sat up again and looked at Elliot in front of him. "You just can't say anything nicer to me really Ellie?"

Elliot smirked when he pretended to be hurt and sat up. She laughed at him and shook her head, "Not when you smell like this."

She giggled and climbed onto the bed next to him. She leaned against the wall and looked at him. She took his hand in her own and smiled, "What did you do? Fight an entire army?"

Jacob couldn't help but smile at that, "then this war would be over but no I went into the gym and started practicing hand to hand combat. A lot of soldiers wanted to spar, and yah I took on Hal of them and won that's when they relized they had to back off."

Elliot laughed and tucked her feet under the blanket, "Well, aren't you just the little champion."

She smiled before moving over to him. She kissed him again, "My little champion," she grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck, "You still really need a shower."

Jacob only smiled at that, then she had said he needed a shower. "I can't take one with your arms around my neck now can I Ellie?" He asked, as he leaned in and kissed her. He wasn't going to waste his time with, the war right now this was his down time he would worry about the war tommorrow.

Elliot looked at him, "That didn't stop you before... But... Fine," She uncoiled her arms from him and held them out at her sides, showing that they were no longer on him. She smirked at him, "I believe you are capable of taking a shower now."

She grinned and him and leaned back against the wall, "Because you really do stink."

Jacob only shook his head, as he got up grabbed a pair of jeans and boxers and went to go take a shower. It was thirty to forty minutes before he was done with his shower. He came out only in a pair of jeans and sat back on the bed. He was taking shaky breaths having been hit hard with the old memories of his father in the shower. The same memory kept playing over and over in his head the day his father died by the hands of a robot.

Elliot smiled when he stood and went to take a shower. She curled up on the bed and relaxed. Her eyes closed slowly as started to nod off while she waited for Jacob to get out. She was awoken when Jacob sat down on the bed. She looked up at him and smiled. It faltered a moment later when she noticed his shaky breaths. She sat up and wrapped her arms around him, "What's wrong?"

Jacob was shaking, closing his eyes trying to calm himself. "Just old memories," his voice cracked with every word he let out. It had been awhile, since his memories had haunted him. It looked like they weren't going away neither when he thought they were gone they just came rushing back at him again and again never truly going away.

Elliot wrapped her arms around him tighter. She didn't like how vague he was being. She sighed and kissed his cheek, "You know... not all memories are bad... when I lost my parents... all I could think of was the police officer coming to my door," she took his hand in her's, "that wasn't fair to them though. There were far better times to remember."

She kissed his hand, "Try and think about those memories. "

Jacob was thinking back on the good old times, his lips twitched as he remembered the day that he and Elliot went to the lake. She didn't know at the time still, it was a fun sight to see when he threw her into the water before jumping in after her. That's when the alarms went off, "Jacob were being attacked the robots found us." He heard it over his ear piece, he grabbed Elliot's hand "you need to go with another group I'll be following behind I promise I just need to make sure we get everyone out." He didn't normally run through the halls without a shirt, but this time he did just with a bullet proof vest on too.

Elliot shot up when the alarms went off, looking to the door. She turned to Jacob when he grabbed her hand, she hadn't even noticed she'd left his go. She started to shake her head, "No... I want to help you."

However, he had already run off. Elliot jumped out of her bed grabbed her things before running out of the room. She was glad that Jacob had grabbed a bullet proof vest this time. She didn't run after him but instead followed the last of the people leaving the building. She watched as they all exited but as she ran passed a hall a robot jumped out. Elliot didn't have time to react. It pressed her against the wall, lifting her off her feet and it clutched her throat. Elliot's hands pried at the metal fingers, trying to move it away as she gasped for breath.

Jacob was just leadin a few more people out to the trucks down the halls, his pistol in his hands as he ran with the crowd in front of him. He skidded to a stop when he saw a robot holding Elliot by the throat against a wall, he shouted at the others to keep going. He switched the clip to regular bullets as to not hurt Elliot, he shot his pistol turning the robots attention to him. Soon the robot was running toward him, he fired a few shots before the pistol was swatted out of his hands.

The robot punched him in the stomach, before sucker punching him. He skidded across the floor, then as he tried to get up he was pushed down by a foot then he felt a knife go into his shoulder then another one going into the other one pinning him to the floor bleeding. Just before the robot could return to Elliot he heard a gunshot, and saw the robots body fall to the floor. He looked up, just to see savannah in front of him.

Elliot collapsed to the ground gasping for breath when the robot released her. She watched as it attacked Jacob, punching him before stabbing him, pinning him to the floor. Elliot yelled but it barely came out a whisper, "No."

Her hands shook and she looked around trying to find anything to throw or shoot at him when she heard a gunshot. Her head snapped back to see the robot fall to the floor and Savannah standing over top of Jacob. She nearly sobbed at seeing her sister still alive and well. Savannah looked down at Jacob, still pinned to the ground and put her gun on her shoulder, "Well, lookie here."

She smirked and crouched inspecting his shoulders before standing again. Aiming her gun at Elliot, she walked over to her, clear that she still didn't trust her sister. Savannah kicked Elliot's first aid bag, "You remember how use this stuff?"

Elliot swallowed, finding it painful to do so, and nodded. Savannah lowered her gun and helped Elliot to her feet, although, she wasn't very gentle about it. She grabbed her bag for her and brought her over to Jacob and dropped both of them next to him. Ellie looked up at her sister a little scared, noticing the gun was trained on her again. However, when she looked back down at Jacob, she smiled. He wouldn't let anything happen. Carefully, she grabbed the first knife and slid it out. Her hands moved quickly, cleaning and bandaging. In a moment, she was onto the other. When he was all bandaged up, she looked back up to her sister, who nodded, "Pack up. We need to get out of here."
