Put the Vicks near your eyes, it stings but helps keep your eyes closed.
But even if you can't seep, laying in bed without the computer is also good, cause it rests your body, even if it is difficult for you to rest your mind.

I use to have problems sleeping, my mind is very active.

I can't do nothing. I get bored and restless. Sometimes I lay reading. My mind likes to go none stop. I think I've tried ever technique over the years. I can usual get 3 or 4 hours, but not tonight.

Need to learn to lessen the activity in your mind then.
And yea I know that feeling of getting bored and restless, but I think that is one of those feelings you just need to learn to fight and ignore.

I've gotten to the point where I am always tired that sleep now comes easy to me. can't even do an all nighter anymore.

I can go 20 or more but I try to avoid it. I cant seem to sleep unless I am exhausted. I have never gotten the hang of being bored. I hate being bored.

I think eveyone hates being bored.
But I find if I can't sleep then to shut off my mind I focus on one thing, for me that is the constant ringing in my ears, Or I play a silly little game in my mind and imagine myself trapped in a freezing cold prison cell by bad people.

but have you tried sleeping pills? or any other form of herbal or other medicine to help with sleeping?

Ive tried several over the counter sleeping aids. I have never imagined myself in a prison. I generally imagine myself in whatever book I am reading.

she passed away of old age. I had her since I was a teen. I haven't been able to bring myself to get another one yet.

Aw that's sad, our family cat passed away a few years ago. Had him since before I could remember.
Such a sweet cat he was, always purring.

Anyway I need to sleep now, got work tomorrow and it's 1am ><
