I'll have a post up tomorrow--apologies on the timing. Hate to hold up a character.

@Elsa You do realize there are two iron police banging on the front door, right. There's a lot going on right now, so I wouldn't be offended if you had somehow missed it. Reaction posts should be comparatively easy compared to character introduction. What do you do when the gestapo are at the door? You can either comply with their demands, make a run for it, or attempt to hide the person you think they're looking for. Fighting could be an option, but I'm not sure if it's the best one for your character, unless you want to take her and Fallon in an outlaw direction.

Perhaps just as the knock comes, one of the girls finds something the scratched customer had left.... it's a badge, the badge of an Iron Policeman. Then comprehension of the danger would dawn on you and you could react more strategically to the threat. Just a thought. She might be able to put 2 and 2 together without the badge though she may not realize the man was actually an officer until it's too late.

@Febuari I'm counting on one more scene with you and the Prince, the one you told me about in PMs. Once you write this scene I'll have Torbil return to the estate so that you can both learn from him the whereabouts of the fomori and the changeling. That should serve to put most of the PCs on a collision course.

Alright no rush. Quality > Quantity. I'm just making sure we don't loose track of any subplots.

So every major faction has now been introduced. You have the human government of Drezlen embodied in the Mayor and the councilman some of whom are industrialists (new money) and others of whom are highborn patricians (old money). In the Blight you have the Unseelie Court, a criminal gang united loosely by Donovon, aka the Prince, a dangerous yet charismatic figure; the Wyldlings, lead by the madman Adin, who are based in their metal ringed junkyard and control much of the glam trade; the Seelie Court, an organized, almost feudal, organization bent on returning the world to the old order and ruled by child Queen Juliana, the Queen of Souls, a powerful high elf sorceress; and finally the FLF (Faery Liberation Front) a terrorist organization composed of both fae and human activists (leader unknown).

Other groups may arise as the story progresses, but these will remain the major factions for a good while. One might also think of the common fae who's haven is the Boggart's Hole as a neutral faction.

The iron police knocking on the door I did see, it was finding something to flesh out the post enough for Advanced level that I was struggling with. But I'll see what I can do today.

I can't speak for the others, but I've always viewed advanced more of quality, creativity, and plot or character advancement than length. I've read some long posts that had absolutely no point (read as 2,000 words of navel gazing) and wish they'd been shorter (much shorter).

^Me too, I was just a little concerned that the post would have been.

Suddenly Agneis heard a sound, from the way they had come, and a sudden fear rose into her throat and gripped her. She quickly turned on her heel, leaving Fallon behind without a word, and strode back to the brothel.

"Can I help you gentlemen?" she asked, her eyes narrowed.

Which is all very well and good for Casual but this roleplay has a significantly higher standard than that.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it, but didn't the Iron Police come knocking before Agneis and Fallon left? That change in setting might allow for you to lengthen your post to some degree.

Uh oh.

If they did my last post is completely redundant. This is going to take longer than I thought.

@Tali No, as I read it they were just preparing to leave so the cops literally caught them at the door. Ultimately it's up to Mischief to determine since it was her/his post.

@Elsa Don't kill yourself over quality. I mean I like good posts, but I want people to have fun not give themselves nose bleeds and crash http://thesaurus.com/

@februari I completely agree. Sometimes people, and I count myself guilty of this occasionally, go full on Steinbeck and devote pages to minutia or how a single event made their character feel. I try to post like Tolkein or Ursula K. Le Guin would and go for a poetic economy of words, though it does not always work because I am not Tolkein and I am definitely not Ursula.

I'M ALIVE. I've been letting myself fall behind in school so now I'm playing catch-up (why do I do this to myself?). I hate university. :P

I'm off to the IC to accomplish things!

@ glib - Of course, I just sometimes wish it didn't have to. xP I'd so much rather do the things that I enjoy.

@ Elsa - I believe that I had written my post before glib had posted the one about the Iron Police knocking on the door (although I MAY have actually posted after, I'm not sure ...) and I had just gotten us started walking away, so in real time it should be considered that the knock came AFTER we had already exited. So I'm sure that what you had was perfectly suitable. Would you like me to put something up instead? I have time to do so now.

@Elfwhores Sorry, could not resist. :-P I would really prefer that your characters be able to intervene because otherwise it's going to just be a huge GM post and there's been enough of those recently. Story needs more active player engagement in events.

If you have indeed already left perhaps you are still within sight of the brothel.

Belle and her entourage have arrived at the Boggart's Hole just after Delphi's song. Zemum and his group are ready to go as well, so I'll turn them over now.
