[IC] Soul Eater: The Witch and Her Weapon [Jett Ryu & HikariMoon]

Salena stood quietly in the Death room. Apparently, even though she's told Lord Death a lot of times that she doesn't work well with others, he's decided to pair her up with a weapon. She was now waiting for him, or her for that matter, to come in so they could meet.

[Miraboreasu]

Death and Spirit were annoyed. "Where is he?" Lord Death sighed. Death Scythe checked his watch.
"He's seven minutes late," he said. The door opened and a young man entered. He looked like he'd been brawling, but he had a grin plastered on his face.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Lord Death," he said. "Black★Star wanted a fight. If you need him, Professor Stein has him in the infirmary."

[HikariMoon]

'He beat up Black★Star...?' Salena thought, looking at him carefully for a moment before looking at Lord Death and Spirit. She wasn't a people person so she normally doesn't talk unless spoken to, and even then she did sometimes come off rude.

[Miraboreasu]

Lord Death sighed. "You know we need every Weapon and Meister up at a hundred percent," he said.
"To fight Arachnophobia," Rex said. "I know. So why was I called here?"
"You're getting paired up," Mr. Albarn said. Rex's carefree attitude seemed to dissolve.
"I told you," he said, "I didn't want another partner. Besides, I'm Autonomous now."
"Paris Incident aside," Death said, "we need you out in the field. And you're compatible with Salena."

[HikariMoon]

Salena looks at Lord Death for a moment before looking at him again. She wasn't sure if that last part was true or not, not really having a weapon before she wasn't sure how you could tell if someone was compatible or not but didn't question it.

[Miraboreasu]

Rex looked Salena over. "Can I at least think about it?" he asked.
"No," Death said. He held a big hand up, glaring. "And so help me, if you try to walk out I'll Reaper Chop a permanent dent in your skull!"

[HikariMoon]

"uh.. I don't think that's necessary, Lord Death.." Salena said quietly, not really wanting to speak up but figuring it'd be better than watching someone get reaper chopped.. "I mean.. If what you say is true and the two of us are compatible, even if he wanted to get out of it he'd still have to come back eventually.." She added, remembering reading something about it somewhere.

[Miraboreasu]

"Grr," Rex growled. "Fine. What's our assignment?" Death glanced at Spirit.
"Over in England," Death said. "A killer known as Spring-Heeled Jack has been collecting human souls."

[HikariMoon]

"Spring-heeled Jack..?" Salena thought for a moment, wondering if she'd heard about him. She looks at Death after a moment. "Okay.." She said after a moment.

[Miraboreasu]

"We're getting there... how?" Rex challenged.
"Well these mirrors aren't just for ahow," said Death Scythe.

[HikariMoon]

Salena was a little surprised at that but didn't say anything for a moment. "Well.. I guess we should get ready to go then.." She said quietly, glancing at Rex for a moment.

Before the two could do anything Lord Death pushed them into his mirror... and the two promptly found themselves outside of a shop in London.

Salena looks around for a moment before looking at him. She hesitated for a moment before speaking. "So um.." She started, crossing her arms, something she does a lot, "What should we do then..?"

[Miraboreasu]

Rex sniffed. "We start hunting," he answered simply. "I can detect Kishins in a weird way." He sniffed again. "I smell them."

[HikariMoon]

"Oh.. Okay." Salena nods slightly. "That's kind of cool actually.." She said quietly, fixing her bag on her back.

[Miraboreasu]

"I'll be in Weapon form," he said, transforming. Rex's form was a black scythe, which fell towards Salena.

[HikariMoon]

Salena caught him. "Oh.. okay.." She said quietly. She looked around for a moment, holding his weapon form in one hand while fixing her bag with the other quickly before jumping up onto a roof so they wouldn't get spotted easily.

[Miraboreasu]

Rex sniffed. Head north, he instructed.

[HikariMoon]

"Alright." Salena said quietly, doing as told and heading North.

[Miraboreasu]

Blaze could detect the scent becoming stronger and stronger.
