AnnaAnna is Mary's mother and lives in the house connected to the Library with her husband Basil. She tends to come off as a bit snobby, as she loves to gossip with Sasha and Manna and dresses up on a daily basis.
BarleyBarley runs the Yodel Ranch in Mineral Town and sells livestock. He has a daughter named Joanna who left Mineral Town to seek fortune, but has left her daughter May behind with Barley. He's a rather kind old man who loves spending time with his granddaughter.
BasilBasil is Anna's husband and Mary's father. He is a naturalist and a botanist and spends most of his time investigating plants around the town. He also writes books about his findings, and is a very cheery fellow. Anna tries to keep him locked up inside, however, but he loves to be out roaming the world.
CarterCarter is the pastor of the Mineral Town Church, and spends most of his time worshiping the Harvest Goddess. He is a very religious man, and is often visited by Cliff. Alisa also visits from the Sunshine Islands to study with him, and resides within the Church.
DougThe Mineral Town Inn is run by Doug and his daughter Ann. His wife died a long time ago, leaving Doug to care for the Inn and raise Ann on his own. He wants the best for his daughter and is friendly to any bachelor who enters his Inn. He just wants Ann to be happily married!
DukeDuke runs the Aja Winery with his wife Manna. He named the winery after his daughter Aja, who moved out of Mineral Town after a quarrel with her father. Duke is stubborn and doesn't talk much about her, though Manna really misses her daughter. Duke also tends to be a bit of a heavy drinker, and has a short temper.
EllenEllen is Elli and Stu's grandmother. She watches over Stu while Elli is working at the Clinic. As a result of being sick while she was younger, Ellen's legs have grown very weak. She spends all day in her house next to Mary's library and doesn't even go to any of the festivals. Since she can't leave her chair, she appreciates company and may ask favors from the other townspeople. Elli works hard as a nurse to hopefully one day help her grandmother's legs, though the effort may be hopeless.
GotzGotz is the carpenter who lives in Mineral Town. He does most of the work between The Valley and Mineral Town, renovating many buildings. Gotz can handle any of your building tasks. He may get lonely from time to time, however, especially since he lives on the outskirts of Mineral Town.
HarrisThere may not be very much crime in Mineral Town, but in the case there ever is, Harris is the local law-officer to keep things in check. He lives with the mayor and can be a little goofy. Perhaps the fact that there is so little mischief in town makes his job too easy, and will make things difficult if trouble ever did arise.
JeffJeff and Sasha run the Grocery Store in Mineral Town with their daughter, Karen. Jeff frequently lets customers buy on credit, which Sasha does not approve of. Jeff tends to be very worrisome and gets sick often.
LilliaLillia runs the Poultry Farm and is Popuri and Rick's mother. She has an illness that prevents her from leaving the farm, which is why her husband, Rod, set out on a journey to find a mysterious flower which has the ability to cure her.
MannaManna is Duke's wife, and loves to talk. She often says a little too much, and spends most of her time gossiping with Sasha and Anna. She misses her daughter Aja, who left the town after an argument with her father. Manna also helps run the winery when Duke is busy.
MayMay is Barley's granddaughter and lives at Yodel Ranch with him while her mother is away. She misses her mother, but her mother doesn't seem to be coming back anytime soon. She plays with Stu outside the Church very often, and loves animals.
SaibaraSaibara is the town's blacksmith, and is a very wise old man. His grandson Gray is his apprentice, and he can be very tough on him. He thinks that Gray doesn't work hard enough, and doesn't approve of his negative attitude.
SashaSasha runs the Grocery store with her husband Jeff and her daughter Karen. She tends to be in the back room while her husband does all the work. Sasha also loves to gossip with Manna and Anna, and also likes to visit Lillia so that she has some company.
StuStu is Elli's little brother and he lives with their Grandma Ellen. Stu and Elli's parents died a long time ago, so it's up to Elli and Ellen to take care of him. Stu is normally a pretty good kid and doesn't cause a lot of problems. He does like to find insects, which he shows to his Grandma. He likes to play with May in front of the Church.
ThomasThe Mayor of Mineral Town! Thomas may be quite an odd fellow, but there is no doubt that everyone knows him and he does his job. He runs all of the events in the town and often checks in on his townspeople. He lives with his officer, Harris, in the northern part of Mineral Town.
ZackZack ships most of the goods in Mineral Town. He lives on Mineral Beach with a sniveling merchant named Won. Zack also seems to be a bit of a body builder, as he has quite a body to display. Zack came to Mineral Town after meeting Rod during his journey to find Lillia the cure for her illness. Zack has a bit of a crush on Lillia, but dares not pursue it due to being friends with Rod.
GourmetGourmet visits Mineral Town from time to time to participate in the cooking festivals. He has quite big mouth and is a jolly man who loves to eat. He comes from bigger cities, but loves to visit Mineral Town and The Valley for the food. He may even occasionally bring his nephew, Pierre, along with him.
KappaKappa is the mysterious creature living in the lake on Mother's Hill. He will only appear if you throw a Cucumber into the lake. During the Winter Season, the lake freezes over and Kappa seems to disappear. Perhaps there is more beneath the surface of the lake than meets the eye...
WonWon is a traveling merchant who lives on Mineral Beach with Zack. He always tries to get the best deal for himself, but sometimes sells some rather interesting things.
Harvest GoddessThe Goddess is the priestess of harvest. She lives in a realm separate from ours, a realm that is connected directly to nature, which allows her to be everywhere at once. She channels the energy from the land, and the two exist in symbiosis. The Goddess's Lake in The Valley and her pond in Mineral Town seem to be gateways to the Goddess, as she tends to appear when someone makes an offering at either of those bodies of water. She has a rather dramatic personality, and thinks she is quite a marvelous creature.
